42 Assistant Kang

"Alright, let's ignore that bastard. No point in losing time on him right now." Ren Ming said towards her group.

"Do you guys think he'll cause some trouble for us tonight?" Lin Qiao couldn't help but be a little uneasy.

Su Chang couldn't help but want to go back to sleep. Yawning, he said, "I couldn't care less…"

When he looked around after getting no response, Su Chang was greeted with hostile looks all around him.

"Shut up chubby!" Ren Ming went for the kill and simply hit him in the back of his head.

Mu Ruqin added, "Just ignore him. Let's wait for Lixue and we can think about what to do. No point in talking about it before she comes back."

Soon, voices of approval run out from people near her. After all, it was indeed the truth. Without Chu Lixue, it didn't make much sense to continue this topic.

"Assistant Kang!" Shouted a man inside a building near Chu Lixue's group.

"What's going on?" A man asked. He was 1.8 meters tall and had long legs, his nose was tall and his face was very rigid. As usually, a pair of black sunglasses could be seen on his face.

"It seems that the group that Young Miss joined is in trouble. Some of the local thugs seemed to bother them before. My guess would be that they probably got greedy upon seeing some of our trucks!"

"Tsk! I knew this was going to happen." Kang Xun sighed.

When a few days ago Mu Ruqin finally made her way over to their place, and told her family about joining an independent group, it truly shocked a few of them.

No matter how much they tried, they couldn't get her to resign. Seeing this, they simply decided to let her do what she wanted. Mu Ruqin was a pretty stubborn lady, once she decides on something it's not likely that she would change her decision.

When Mu Ruqin's brother heard of this, he simply shook his head and ordered him to give her some equipment and 2 modified, military-grade trucks. Anything more than that and she probably wouldn't take it.

Now however, it seems as if his guess was correct. While the trucks provide some secure cover from most of the zombies, they still ended up bringing Mu Ruqin some trouble.

'It seems that human greed has no limits…' Assistant Kang couldn't help but lament in his mind.

Kang Xun continued, "Did they fight already?"

"Not yet, Assistant Kang!"

"It seemed as if the other group tried to get themselves some benefits first. They went over and talked with each other. From what I saw, they looked pretty unpleasant when the thugs were leaving." A woman reported.

"Alright. I've got it."

The woman couldn't help but ask, "Should we take care of them, Assistant Kang?"

"Just leave them be for now." Kang Xun said while sighing. "Don't forget that Young Master didn't want Young Miss to know that we're here unless it's absolutely needed."

Assistant Kang looked around the people inside the room. "Tang Ru, Wen Ping!"

"Yes!"

"Here, Assistant Kang!"

"Just keep an eye on them, if they make any trouble and it gets dangerous, go ahead and clean them up. Don't let any harm to happen to Young Miss's group."

Kang Xun walked towards the window and looked towards the 2 military-grade trucks and the people around them. While it was the middle of the night, it was still bright enough to see what was happening around. A lot of groups had either flashlights or a simple fire near their camps. It was much safer to have some light during the night.

"I hope the group that Young Miss choosed isn't too bad. Well, I guess we'll see tonight." He muttered to himself.

Mao Long was furious ever since leaving Chu Lixue's group's camp. Even though he knew he was shameless, he still thought of their group as children. Aside from Zhao Yun, he wouldn't really bother with any of them.

Hell, if someone told him that their group only contains ability users, he would probably burst out laughing and curse that person out. Right now, in Mao Long's mind the only thought was to get rid of these bastards that humiliated him!

"Everyone! Gather around!"

When he saw that most of his subordinates came near, he continued, "I tried really hard to make these kids hand over their stuff, but they simply ignored all of us! They think that we're a bunch of nobodies!"

"What? Let's get them!"

"Exactly Boss, why aren't we taking over yet?"

Boss Mao looked around and was satisfied with what he saw. "Alright! Everyone should gear up and we'll be going over to make sure they regret their actions!"

"Go and notify the guys that went out before. They should attack at the same time as we do!" Mao Long said towards one of his man, who soon run out towards a small group on the opposing end of the road.

Soon, when most of his people took their weapons, they slowly made their way towards Chu Lixue's group. While they didn't have any guns, since they were both loud and hard to get your hands on, they did have some bats, pipes, knives and other things that could easily take life away. A slight lightning could be seen forming inside Mao Long's hand.
