Throughout all of this he was also in the process of moving. No one could tell the stress put on him. He was a little more quiet than usual but people at most just glanced at him. Phillip however was pleased with himself as he himself was able to start conducting magic. Magic, in essence, is science. Related to chemistry, math, alchemy, and physics. At this point in time Phillip was way more estudious then he was in the past, he thought he had too, and surprisingly always marked as the top 2 to 5 scorer in the newbies rankings in the magic classes, which was a little weird that he was never number 1, but little did they know thats what Phillip had planned.

In essence he configured the electrons, protons, and neutrons around him to do his bidding. When he stopped applying power or a link with the atoms they reverted back to what they were before. He was taught about the taboo of splitting or forcefully hitting the atoms against each other and was met with not the consequences of expulsion but of death from your own accord. It was a little bit morbid for the 12 to 13 year olds.

Phillip, like most mages, had an affinity for most of the elements and was probably more imaginative than those around his age. He could create many constructs, yet he was taught to speacialize in at least one element first. The higher the number on the periodic table didnt necessarily translate into more difficulty, it varied from person to person.

The vast majority of newbies and even the more seasoned mages could only use the elements that surrounded their environment. They could use the oxygen to breath underwater for a limited amount of time or use helium to make their voice higher or combined the elements into sulfor hexafluroide to make their voice deeper, but for some reason although it was simple the latter was more difficult and to this day not a lot of seasoned mages could, but Phillip could.

Phillip decided to use element number 26 or iron as his base for specialization. He worked for a week to figure out how he could use the atoms in the air and the ground to produce iron and was more successful with the ground, as it was the fourth most common element within the earths core. At early dawn he would practice. He would slap his hands together or against the ground to materialize the iron.

At first he would make a metal pole. Adjusted to his height and weight. He would create swords that was swords in shape mostly, and knives and daggers to throw. Everywhere he touched that he would turn to metal had large chunks missing, and piles reformed into debris from the place that he touched. He looked online for some pole techniques and then found an old cartoon of TMNT and saw the turtle Donatello use his staff and procrastinated his way into binge watching 3 seasons of the show.

He thought the pole was cool but realized many people could have this as their niche so he decided to use chains. As if in an abstract way of letting people know he felt that the world kept him in chains dragging him down, everytime he used the chains they were attracted to him to get closer to the source material that was providing the essence. They would wrap around his wrists or sometimes legs or anywhere on his body as it was random. They would drag him back closer to the ground where they came from and at first Phillip was a little scared but got over it, even though he did not train the chains to wrap ground him.

He realized that every step he took the chains looked like he was pulling roots of a tree out and dragging it with him. The further he walked the chains followed him through the ground and from where he started, where he first started with the chains already turned back into the ground, as if he never used it at all. Everything would reform and slowly looked as if nothing had even happened. He would lay his hands listless at his sides pulling the chains as a form of workout, the strain in his arms looked as if he was pulling a huge tire with his wrists. Hed do the same with his legs, yet the maximum of chains he could control was limited to 2 at the moment.

He didn't have the energy to sustain more yet he could control them for hours. When ever he would use them for target practice he would use them as huge whips and as soon as they left the ground a huge CRACK sound could be heard. He use them as whips or he would use them like a lasso to catch and hold his practice targets.

When he was not practicing with magic he was practicing with his powers. He could now control the mist 30 feet around him if he wanted it to stretch but around him, the strongest of the aura of mist would not exceed his height around him.

Ever since James and Jordan formed their dogs, two more Goddards formed. Yet they were faceless if not for glowing blue eyes. Two more looked like they were in mid formation and could not control them yet. He wondered how much he would be able to do and he looked at Goddard and with a stupid aloofness in its expression with a tounge out, Phillip just sighed.

He would complete this routine every day for a few months. His birthday had come and gone he was now 13. After he turned 13 The headaches and night sweats stopped as fervently than before, but they were still prevalent.

He decided to ask Professor Xavier about his and Bellas conditions. For his situation, it could be indusive from his current power growing. It wasnt likely since it didnt sound like cultivation since he could not control it, or it could be signs of a potential new power. Professor Xavier was livid as he told Phillip not to tell anybody most of the common population could only form one kinda of spirit power. It would be big if he got another one even though he just might only have one more than he has now and it was only two.

As for Bellas case, he described that it could either be her imagination, Phillip sighed, Or..., Phillip perked back up, a rare case where one was awakening their power naturally before coming of age at 12 or 13. There would be nothing that you could do other than explain and wait it out. Phillip decided that hed stay up a couple nights to watch her sleep and see if she has any changes.

One night when he was doing this slumbering off, Bella suddenly sat up straight, Phillip noticed and moved his body waking himself up and into a more comfortable position. Bella eerily and abruplty turned her head to face at Phillip, he was taken aback as her eyes were glowing red. When he looked into them he felt that he was having a realisitic dream.

He was on a pier, and it was nice outside. But gray clouds came along, they then turned black, a bolt of lightning hit that wasnt far off from where he was standing, he was startled. The waves crashed on the top of the pier wood, and with the rainy weather he slipped and fell into the water. Phillip was freaking out at this point because everything felt so real.

As he fell in he was frantically trying to climb himself back up, but he was scared! He didnt know how to swim and he silently had climbed up and back down the water. he wasnt flailing his arms around and yelling because he could not make a sound. He needed to save his breath to breath.

He started to get tired he was slowly descending in the dark water a glow of light in front of him was receding, his eyes burning from being open, his hand weakly put in front of his face reaching out to the light, but falling as heplessly as he was, with no more strength he could feel his lungs filling up with water and the light faded.

Phillip had woken up at this point and suddenly stood up throwing the blanket that he had when he was sitting in the chair. He had been sweating profusely as his entire shirt was damp. He looked over at Bella and she was already laying down asleep. He took in a nervous breath and exhale as he tried to calm himself down.

He was never this scared in his entire life! It felt so real and the fact that he couldnt swim even though he took swimmimg courses when he was younger and thrown in to make him learn on his own he was still resigned that he did not know how to swim. He looked at Bella and a shiver fell down his neck.

He looked at the calender on his wall and saw that the opening fight festival was a week away, and their team still only had 6 of the required 7 applicants to join. As long as you were considered tier 1 and awakened your powers, you could join.
