31 Chapter 30 Resurrection of Thatch

On a hillside on Dillock Island, there lies the funeral garden of the Whitebeard Pirates. Majima, having tested out his newly acquired abilities, made his way to the grave of Thatch, accompanied by no one else. The yellow scarf on the tombstone symbolized Thatch's preference, and on both sides of the tombstone rested a kitchen knife and a sword that had been with Thatch for many years.

"Thatch if you had listened to me from the beginning, you wouldn't have died in vain. I haven't been able to taste the real flavor of home for a long time because of you."

"I'm here to save you this time, don't go wandering off again."

Majima was standing in front of Thatch's tombstone when he suddenly conjured a Reanimation card with his thoughts. But just as he was about to use it to resurrect Thatch, a notification from the system rang in his mind.

"Oh, has Vista finally succeeded? That's great news! Another person has gained abilities from comics, which means we're one step closer to our next diamond draw. Keep up the good work!"

Majima made the decision to use the Reanimation card next.

"Summoning Jutsu: Reanimation Character: Thatch Captain of the fourth division of the whitebeard pirates!"

"Method of choice: reincarnation and resurrection in the form of a living person."

He set up according to the usage method of Summoning Jutsu: Reanimation card.

In the following moment, the card in Majima's hand emitted a bright white light mixed with a golden glow, resembling a reincarnation light. It felt like watching a movie on a dome screen for Majima as various changing images appeared within the light. Finally, the phantom of the portrait stopped at the image of Thatch, the Fourth Division Captain of the Whitebeard Pirates.

"Are you sure you want to reincarnate Thatch as a living person?" the system voice echoed in Majima's mind.

Majima confirmed without hesitation.

The phantom from the card transformed into thatch's image and gradually grew in size within the bright light. Once it reached his real height, the image of Thatch's phantom descended to the ground. The light then suddenly dimmed and coalesced into thatch's body. The card shrank into a small light source and disappeared into thatch's heart. The light of reincarnation on his body faded away, indicating that thatch had fully completed his rebirth.

After emerging from the light emitted by the card, Thatch gained consciousness and asked, "What's going on? Where am I? And who are you?"

Thatch, whose soul was originally asleep in the pure land of the underworld, was suddenly awakened and pulled out by a magical force. As he saw the real world and Majima standing in front of the card, he wondered who Majima was since he had never met him before.

Majima snorted towards Thatch's back, trying to get his attention.

Thatch turned his head and noticed a tombstone with the inscription "The Tomb of Captain Thatch of the Fourth Division." Realizing that he was dead, Thatch recognized the tombstone and slapped his forehead, saying "Ah! I remember now. I was killed by a surprise attack from Teach, my own brother!"

Hearing that Thatch referred to Teach as "brother,"

Majima smiled and teasingly asked Thatch, "Oh, did you call Teach your brother? Are you planning to let him off the hook for killing you?"

Thatch exclaimed, "That despicable Teach!!! I never thought I would die along with our brothers on a boat over a Devil Fruit! If only I had listened to your warnings earlier. Well, I won't let that bastard Teach get away with it! I wonder if the old man has beaten him to death by now!"

Majima grinned and remarked, "He's actually quite popular now, being one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. He's even the reason why old man is going to battle the Marines in Marineford."

Thatch was filled with anger and cursed upon learning that Teach had become one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea.

"Wait, hold on. Did you say father is going to battle at the Naval Headquarters? What's happening?"

"In short, Ace wants to avenge you and enforce the Whitebeard Pirates' rule to hunt down Blackbeard Teach. However, he was captured by Teach and handed over to the Marines. Now, the Marines plan to publicly execute Ace at Naval Headquarters, which will undoubtedly lead to a battle between our Whitebeard Pirates and the Marines." Majima explained

Thatch felt a sharp pain in his heart.

'Ace couldn't defeat Teach either?'

However, upon reflection, it seemed to be consistent with his own experience.

Although he was ambushed by Teach, he didn't die from a single blow!

Afterwards, he fought with Teach despite his serious injuries. Based on the situation at the time, Teach was very powerful!

He didn't expect Teach to be so ruthless, not only killing his brothers on the same ship but also handing Ace over to the Marines...

"This bastard!" Thatch pounded himself hard.

Looking up at Majima, Thatch asked in a puzzled tone, "Hey, brother, you just referred to Whitebeard as your old man. But I don't recall seeing you before. Are you a new member of our Whitebeard Pirates?"

Majima chuckled and made a humorous face. "I've been a part of Whitebeard's crew for over a decade now, and ever since you passed away, I've been craving your delicious kung pao chicken, vinegar fish slices, and Buddha dumplings"

The clues were too obvious, how could Thatch not recognize the person in front of him! Only the captain of the Zero Division had never seen his face, and no one else had ever tasted those dishes. Though, Whitebeard did try them once, but he wasn't accustomed to them.

Thatch's face lit up with joy as he grabbed Majima's shoulders and exclaimed, "You're Brother Majima, the one I always cook for, and you always request kung pao chicken, vinegar fish fillets, and Buddha dumplings!
