Prologue: The Universe

In the vast and limitless expanse of the cosmos, there exists a group of neighboring galaxies, named Seraphim Supercluster. It was believed to be created from the bodies of primordial beings, called Seraph; it was even said that their bodies are the domain's energy itself. The Seraphim were omnipotent and omniscient beings that once took part in governing the universe and were the Paragons in their era but became extinct after the Great Cosmic War.

There are only 13 known Seraph; Hanael, Malahidael, Asmodel, Advakiel, Cambiel, Barqiel, Hamaliel, Zuriel, Barbiel, Verkiel, Muriel, Ambriel and Azrael, who was speculated as the King of the Seraphim. Each Seraph rules over legions of Archangels, a winged-beings known for their intelligence, power and magic.

The Seraphim supercluster is divided into 13 galaxies and each contains an abundant amount of planetary systems. Each was named after the 13 Seraph; from the biggest galaxies such as Hamaliel Galaxy, Cambiel Galaxy, Verkiel Galaxy, Barqiel Galaxy and Azrael Galaxy then the mid-range sized galaxies like the Advakiel, Asmodel, Zuriel and Ambriel Galaxy. Up to the smallest sized galaxies which are the Muriel Galaxy, Barbiel, Malahidel and Hanael Galaxy.

However, amongst the 13 galaxies, Azrael is the largest yet most isolated galaxy. Its exact coordinates are even unknown. It has a massive amount of dark matter and voids surrounding all over its vicinity, that restricts any inquisitive creature from entering. It was as if a natural formed prison or in a sense a formidable protection from the matters of the outside world. The existence of the Azrael Galaxy was only discovered when its inhabitants called Xerg conducted, on what they call now, the Odyssey, which instigated the Great Intergalactic War that lasted for thousands of years and demolished the Old Order. The Azrael Galaxy still remained unexplored from other races up until the present date, yet with just the smallest glimpse of its content from the past gave them the general idea of the might of its native occupants and it was even hypothesized that the location of the Azrael was once where the Central Seraphim Empire stood.

The history of the existence of Xerg is extremely deep and vague, but what is certain was that they are creatures not originally belonging to the Seraphim Supercluster. They are believed to have come to exist alongside the Primordial Celestials, and due to unknown reasons during the First Great Cosmic War they had made their way unto the Azrael Galaxy, where they grew and fostered. 

Because of their vast numbers and intelligent collective mind, the Primeval Xergs were able to invade and occupy numerous planets throughout the Azrael Galaxy, assimilating their species to enhance themselves.

The Xergs are a barbaric and ruthless amalgamation of biologically advanced, anthropoidal organisms. The Xergs have a deep understanding of the principles of evolution and incorporate this into the development of their species. Xergs purposely situate themselves in harsh climates in order to further their own evolution through natural selection. Through the fast evolution and advanced genetic formation of the Xerg, they have maximized their genetic mutation capabilities and finally evolved to a higher form of beings; the Immaculatus Xergus. Now, the Xergs are divided into three classes; Alpha, Beta and Omega. 

The Alpha Xergs are what can be called as the Generals or Lords of the Xerg race, since the Xerg has no feudal system and only follows the concept of submitting to the strongest, the alpha xergs served as the Lords of the Beta and Omega Class. They are the deadliest, strongest and coldest kind of Xerg, each capable of annihilating a planetary system. As of the present date, there are only 9 Alpha amongst the Xerg race and each rules a massive amount of Xergs.

The Beta Class, just like the Alpha Xergs, are of humanoid form except that their abilities are somewhat inferior. Although they are below the Alpha Xergs; an individual Beta can still destroy a city and with an army of them they could cause devastation to an entire planet. The clear physical difference between the Alpha and Beta is that Betas maintain a certain racial trait in their humanoid form such as horns, tails and some are even wings however Alphas can freely transform into their True Xerg Beast Form, half-humanoid form and human-like form.

The Omegas are the conventional type of xergs, they retained their natural genetic constitutions; that is why they are permanently in their beast form. They can also be considered as the replication models of the Archaic Xergs, the ancestral Gene. They were only ruled by instincts and followed the natural order, however they can be commanded by a type of Xerg called Overmind. The Omega Xergs are murderous to intelligent lifeforms that does not belong to the Xerg Race. Any army won't even stand a chance with omega xergs, and with their ferocious fighting characteristics, any person will dread facing them. They are the perfect killing machine, for they are all bloodthirsty and fiendish when needed; even at their dying breath they can still fight and kill, or worse they can self-destruct and create a great deal of damage to the opponents.

The Omega Xergs vary with different types such as Zerglisk which are a large snake-like beast with a centipede-like features, Zerglings, Zergorpions and a lot more. They were all born from the Progenitor or the Mother, an alpha rank xerg with no distinct consciousness and were only able to self-reproduce the omega xergs. The Mother was genetically designed and modified to carry the raw DNA structure of the Archaic Xergs. The Mother Xerg are extremely useful especially during war, they can continuously give birth to massive batches of matured Omega Xergs; all ready for battle.

In the Old Order, the epoch of evolution, each empire focused on strengthening themselves and exploiting their natural resources. It was also a period where the Intergalactic exploration was unpopular and only interstellar expansion was prioritized. It was the time wherein the Azrael Galaxy was still unknown and the other 12 Galaxies were generally at peace and only internal wars occur. However it was broken by the Great Intergalactic War, the millenia of annihilation. The war caused the leading empires from each of the 12 Galaxies to join forces and collaborate in order to drive the Xerg Race back into their home galaxy. The peace was then restored yet devastation was what remained, it marked the fall of the Old Order. In fact, there have been no records in the history of the entire diverse races in Seraphim Supercluster, why the war started and what is its true cause. It seemed like the archives were erased or intentionally hidden.

It goes back to the time of the Late era of Primordial Celestials to truly understand the cause of the war in the Seraphim Supercluster. Delving on the history of the Xerg, before the Great Cosmic War and the Xerg were still not as evolved as the present period, the Primeval Xerg were initially uncaring about the affairs unrelated to their race and was only dedicated to the pursuit of genetic perfection. They relentlessly analyzed and comprehended advanced species across the universe to integrate new genomes to their DNA Structure. Through the extensive research, they were finally successful in creating a perfect gene sample which attained an unimaginable level of possible mutation and evolution, a Xerg can attain.

However, during the Great Cosmic War of the Primordial Era, the specimen was stolen. In the period of the cosmic war, major celestial races amongst the universe such as the Seraphim were in dire need of a being that could lead them to their victory. That is why, at that time it was said that the Seraph Azrael conducted a study on the genetic composition of different species to strengthen themselves.  With that as the lead, the Xerg race went into a long voyage with the hope of retrieving their most treasured object.

They advanced unto the capital kingdom of the Seraphim Imperial Galaxy, which is now known as the Azrael Galaxy and conducted a great hunting expedition. They massacred their way through until they were able to obtain several clues but still resulted with a failure. The expedition on the Azrael lasted for a very long period, and before they knew it; the Great Cosmic War had long ended and the Holy Land of the Seraphim no longer existed. While the Immortal Seraphim disintegrated into essences that spread throughout the Seraphim Supercluster which rejuvenated and revitalized all the galaxies and gave birth to new organisms. The new species derived from the essences of the Seraphim started to thrive and nourish on the new world. They gained consciousness and form, underwent evolution, populated and expanded. Thus the Ancient Period, the age of rebirth, was founded.

At the time when the Great Cosmic War had long been a legend and the new species made history for millions of years which concluded the Ancient Period and the rise of the Old Order; The xergs, finally decided to expand their search on the expanse of the Seraphim Supercluster and from then on was called The Odyssey.

Unfortunately, with the changes that occurred the search became extremely arduous, until finally the mission was concluded to be unsuccessful. Adding to that, the Xergs detected that some of the Xerg Squads that scattered all throughout the Seraphim Supercluster were unable to return. It was then discovered that the missing xergs were used as research samples by the leading races during the time of the Old Order. The Xergs, still in pain from losing their most precious treasure, conducted a full onslaught on the galaxies that tarnished their race and exterminated any creature that attempted to corrupt the purity of the Xergs' DNA. This assault resulted with a massive bloodshed, the Great Intergalactic War.

Moving forward, after the Great Intergalactic War, the 12 galaxies created a union and entitled it as the Zodiac, the names of the Galaxies remained yet new Empires were founded. As the result of the war, the smaller galaxies such Barbiel, Malahidel and Hanael Galaxies were on the brink of destruction; to prevent such phenomena they chose to fall under the jurisdiction of large galaxies like the Hamaliel Galaxy, Cambiel Galaxy, and Verkiel Galaxy.

The convergence of the governance of Hamaliel Galaxy to Barbiel Galaxy gave birth to a new realm called the Asgard Empire. When the Hanael Galaxy fell under the sovereignty of the Cambiel Galaxy, the Vanaheim Empire was constructed. While the Nifelheim Empire emerged from the centralization of the Verkiel and Malahidel Galaxy.

Meanwhile the other galaxies underwent renewal of constitution. The Alfheim Empire from Barqiel Galaxy made its name throughout the Supercluster and was chosen as the Capital Empire. The remaining strongest race on the Advakiel Galaxy overruled the Old Order leadership and built the Muspelheim Empire. The Asmodel Galaxy was then ruled by Svartalfheim Empire, on the other hand, the Nidalvellir Empire now governs the Zuriel Galaxy. The Ambriel Galaxy was stabilized by the Jotunheim Empire and lastly the Muriel Galaxy's old ruling body metamorphosed into an empire named the Helheim.

The Zodiac Union was the formed treaty of the rulers of the 12 Empires, created to prevent Intergalactic Invasions, ensure peace and communication amongst the neighboring galaxies. the Union will also be used to fight against the Xerg Race if ever a war arise and other foreign Marauders. However, the Union Law does not cover the internal strife and interstellar wars and invasions occurring within the galaxies. Thus the New Order was established, the Age of Development

From then on, empires stood tall, kingdoms rise and fall, countless historic wars occurred, expansion, evolution and development existed until it brings us up to this point; Year 18537 of the Modern Era

The Prologue Chapter was written to provide overview to the readers about the World Structure and History of the novel and also give initial information. This is to help the readers delve into the world of our MC!

Definition of Terms:

• Supercluster - the group or cluster of galaxies.

• Galaxies - contains numerous planetary system

• Seraph (Singular) / Seraphim (Plural) - Celestial Beings, their essences were the catalyst for the revitalization of energy and life of the destroyed galaxies after the First Great Cosmic War and stimulated the creation of Ancestral beings such as elven race, giant race, demon race, dragon race, phoenix race, beast race and such. Status: Extinct

• Archangels - Lower entities directly created by the Seraphim, they are the Army of the Seraphim Imperial Galaxy. Some races of the present lifeforms were derived from them, such as humans, orcs, goblins and more. Status: Extinct

• Archaic Xerg - The first ever Xergs, they are savages and beast-like. After evolution and gaining consciousness the Xergs were then called the Primeval Xergs. They existed during the Primoridial Era.

• Primeval Xerg - They are first evolution of Xergs, they are sentinient and intelligent lifeforms but their barbaric nature still remained. They were humanoid in form with a distinct racial trait (i.e. horns/wings/tails/spikes, etc). They are uncaring of any happenings not related to their race and only focus on the genetic enhancement of their race. They existed during the Late Primordial Era until the Ancient Period.

• Ancient Xerg - They are the second evolution of the Xerg Race. Higher intelligence and fighting capabilities, they invented more advanced technology. The Ancient Xergs reached higher results with their comprehension of evolution and mutation thus new types of Xergs were born. They existed during the Late Ancient Period until the Old Order Epoch.

• Immaculatus Xergus - The highest evolution the Xergs attained as of the present age. The Xergs was then divided into three classes (Alpha, Beta and Omega). They evolved during the New Order Age and exists until then.
