1 Chapter 1

"Can you wrap it for me?" Kayla asked the cashier of the gift shop who smiled and agreed to do it. "Thank you." Kayla thanked the cashier and then left for the cake shop from which she had ordered the cake from. She could've just waited at her home for the cake's delivery but that would just ruin the surprise she was going to give her elder sister. She bought the cake and was walking back to her home which was just a couple of blocks away but she later regretted the decision because it was really hard to walk with her hands full and just when she thought that she was going to drop the cake someone quickly lended her a hand. She looked up to see the person's face and saw that there were two tall and cute guys right in front of her which made it even harder to thank them. "Ttthank you." Kayla said while her face became a shade of tomato red.

"Are you okay?" One of the boy asked her. "You didn't drop anything, right?" No." "But it doesn't seem like it. You definitely dropped something." "I didn't drop anything." "I think you dropped your jaws while looking at us." Kayla just stared at the guy not being able to give a response at all. "Aw. C'mon. It was just a joke." "Ahhh." Kayla replied, uninterested so before any of them could make jokes like that she quickly took the cake from his hand and went her way. "Hey! Kayla! Wait for us."

Kayla stopped in her tracks and looked back at them. "You guys know me?" "Well yeah. We go to the same school. Now don't tell me you have never seen us." The same guy said while giving her a cute smile. "No." Kayla was speaking the truth. She never cared about her environment and always kept things to herself. She didn't interact with anyone unless she had to and she always kept her head low so it was rare for her to look at anyone's face. "We were together in some of our classes" Kayla stared at him intensely even though it was of no use. "I don't think I know you." "That's really hurtful but I knew you would be like this so let me introduce myself. Hi! I'm Cosmos. Cosmos Brown. But you can call me mosy." "Hi! I'm Parker Williams." The boy who had caught the cake before introduced himself while giving a heartwarming smile.

"You guys don't really have to walk me home. I can walk by myself, really, you guys don't have to do this." Kayla begged for the 100th time to which, they had the same answer. "It's okay. We don't mind helping people. Especially a beautiful girl like you." Cosmos said while giving her a wink. Kayla wanted to persuade them more but she rather chose not to. All the way back to Kayla's home cosmos and Parker kept on chatting with her to which she would either reply with a nod or by saying either 'yes' or 'no'. Kayla was almost home when she realized that she had unintentionally showed half of her address to two totally random strangers who could be psychopaths or some sort of criminals so, even though she had reached her house she purposely skipped it and crossed two houses and stopped at the third house and when she turned back to look at them she realized that they had stopped right infront of her house. "Where are you going?" Parker yelled. Kayla didn't yell back at him because she never screamed at anybody except for her family members when they would annoy her so she walked back to them. "My home." Kayla said while trying to act cool. "But you live here so technically this is your house and not that one." Cosmos replied. "You already know where I live?" Kayla asked while her eyes widened. "Yeah. We live around here so we've seen you many times. And that house that you are calling your home is my house. Jk. I don't live there and neither do you so there's no point in lying." Parker said while giving her a look that said 'I know your lying missy'. "And I live in the house right infront of yours."
