4 If you're a prince, people will want to steal your golden spoon

''I've been curious Teacher, why is my imperial family so different from other people?'' I asked for the sixth time to the old man in front of me, my hands clasped being held up by my arms on the table.

He looked liked he was seriously thinking about chopping my head with the book in his hands but kept himself with a clearly disgusted expression. My innerself was quite joyful at this little revenge of mine's, being as politely annoying as possible, but I really was curious and tired of him refusing to answer.

''As I said, i'm not allowed to explain in deep the Empire's history'' I was about to ask again when he interrumpted quickly. ''Though I can say the Rowan's were not originally from our Jhaen Empire but a distant land, they were an unkown and misterious tribe who used to conquer monsters- this...your grace shouldn't let it out in front of anyone.'' he nervously looked around.

''Uh, why not?'' I tilted my head to the left.

''The Emperor is the one who should teach you about this.''

We endured the lesson for a few more minutes, changing the topic to the 'bloodshed week' which was a war that Albon, my father, started with the objetive of destroying the empress of that time and get hold onto the power.

Even when I was young I remember he didn't seemed like a man who would kill two hundred trained warriors by himself, every day for a whole week but, well. I should get accostumed to the fact this world is really different from mine.

While walking through the garden I looked at Ray by the corner of my eyes, he was monitoring as always, he took care of me since young and though it didn't seem like we were close I appreciate the fact he didn't tried to get rid of me, as i'm really a nuisance.

Ray probably hides it well, maybe because he's paid, but I appreciate it.

Sometimes he feels like family.

My heart pounded painfully inside of my chest and I forced a smile while asking him if we could play hide and seek again. There was little time until the guards would come back from their rest but he agreed, I immediately ran to my favorite tree.

There was a strange feeling that made my hands feel cold, my eyes wavered.

'¿Will Ray miss me when i'm gone?' that thought didn't stop spinning around in my mind.

My hands got a bit scratched since I was not being really careful as I climbed, this time I hid inside of the hole with all the things I gathered so far. I hugged my legs and pressed them to my chest, waiting for the feeling to dissapear.

'¿Will someone cry if i'm gone?'

'Did mom cry when I-'

When my tears were starting to wet my clothes a sound caught my attention. I carefully looked to the base of my tree, a cute little bear with purpleish fur seemed to play with some red berries.

I carefully went down to one of the branches closest to the ground to observe it. At least four metters separated us and made it easy for me to escape if it was dangerous, the bear cub just gave me a playful look and ran in circles making me laugh. It had been a while since the last time I laughed naturally.

Seeing it wasn't a threat I decided to put my feets on the ground and play a bit with it, throwing berries so it would catch them mid-air. It's big brown eyes had a shine I had only seen in my sister, they made my heart melt a bit.

I really am weak to cute things, huh.

The bear approached me unexpectedly and licked my face with it's ticklish tongue and I chuckled, my dry tears dissapeared thanks to it's action.

Things were just perfect until I remembered about Ray looking for me, the game was still on and I couldn't let him get near the tree so I started walking back while cleaning the wetness of my cheeks with my white sleeves, when I felt something catch the border of my pants. I turned, the purple bear cub kept tugging on my pants, starting to damage them with it's tiny but sharp teeth.

''I can't play with you any longer, little one.'' I muttered with a sad smile, even if I wanted I had to go and he had to go back with it's family.

While I tried to make him leave my clothes, all my senses shouted 'danger' before being hit with a wave of magic that made my conscience waver, I fell backwards. A strange person with it's whole figure hidden with a cape appeared by my side and took me like a potato's sack.

I heard the bear roaring weakly before everything turned black.
