1 Chapter 1: Love Journey In Progress

"Lina, I'm sorry. I found a girl that always bring a smile to my face. Make my cold night feels more warm. She became my sun as I wake up every morning. The way her face brighten up everytime we talk for just a little while makes my heart jump. I fell in love with her and I...I'm sorry. I love her too much to let her go." Jacob said as he explained why Lina and him needs to break up. The said girl just stared at her phone and sipped on her cola, not bothering to listen to what the male is saying.

She lifted up her gaze from her phone as she sighed at the male in front of her that continues to praise his said new found love and finally said, " Ok, I understand and you may go now. Don't let her keep waiting."

"Of course, you won't accept.... What?! Just like that?" Jacob was flabbergasted by how Lina accepted things easily but he also didn't want to complicate things more and hugged her then fled the scene.

"Miss, are you ok?" Edward, her aide asked in concern. He handed the miss a sanitizer to disinfect the bacteria that latched on to her earlier.

The Young Miss just smiled and handed back the sanitizer and asked for a cola refill. The waiter immediately attended to Lina and smiled kindly as their eyes met.

"Their service is nice and that waiter is good looking." Lina said as she eyed the waiter as he walked back to his post. Edward sweat dropped at his young miss but wasn't surprised by her behavior.

"Want me to look for information about him, miss?" Edward asked as he took out his phone, working on his magic to please his down young miss.

"Oh~ Yeah, work your magic on him and let me know." She decided she was looking at the waiter long enough because he was looking at her, probably felt her gaze on him.

"The information will be send to you via email as soon as possible. By the time we reached the main house, his complete background will be available for you." Lina hummed in reply as she focused her gaze on her phone putting an x mark next to Jacob Hua name.

"There goes another one, that's my 23rd already. Eddie, will I be able to find the one? Gosh, those guys I dated doesn't make me feel a thing." Lina replied pouting while browsing on her phone to find another one, watching her parents everyday act sweet makes her curious about love and whenever she asked about it they always says that it will come to her in due time but instead of waiting for it she decided to find it. It's been almost half a year since she set on a journey to find love.

"Of course, miss." Edward replied, smiling warmly. Lina decided to keep ten guys as candidates and ordered a cake to take home. She passed the images to Edward to let him do his magic as they waited for the cake to be ready. As they waited her phone rang and she looked at Edward contemplating whether to answer the call or not while the said man just shooked his head signalling that ignoring the call was a useless thing to do. Sighing in resignation, she answers the phone call by her mother.

"Little Bun! How was it? Was is great? Did he take care of you?" Yesha asked her daughter, excitement lacing her voice but she was met with silence which made her smiled sadly.

"Bun, it's fine. He's probably an asshole and a person that is not good for you. Don't lose hope, ok! Mommy and Daddy will always be here to support you." Listening to her mother's words made her feel better and the mother and daughter engaged in a cheerful conversation until the cake was given to them and Lina had to end the call because it was going on for too long.

"Yesha never changed. As cheerful as ever, just like before." Edward said while reminiscing the past. They were already in the car, driving home.

Line clicked her tongue and exclaimed, "How unfair! You calls mommy by her name but you never calls me by my name!"

"Your mother and I are childhood friends, she threatened that she will cut my hair if I stop calling her by her first name." Edward explained while chucking and Lina thought that does seems like something her mother would do which made her rolled her eyes. Edward's hair was his most beloved possession, it was long and very beautiful any damage that will be inflicted on it will make the man depress. The ride was full of conversation between the two as they exchanges stories about Yesha.

Their conversation was cut when Edward said,

"Miss, we have arrived."

The two proceeded to enter the mansion with a cheerful aura when a boy with a teasing smirk stood in front of Lina, blocking her way.

"The freak is home after pretending to be normal." David's voice was full of mockery whole maintaining his iconic I-will-make-your-day-bad face. Edward was ready to make the boy suffer when Lina grabbed his hand to stopped him.

She faked a smile and said, " Hello, dear cousin. Why won't you come and join us later in the dining. I brought a cake home from the cake shop I went to earlier, I heard their cakes are the best."

"Seeing a smile on your face disgust me because how can somebody like you smile? You can't feel emotions! Like a doll! Oh! That is not the correct one! What was the word again?" David said as he walked around her as if taunting her. He was acting as if thinking about something and finally got the answer. He stopped circling around her and stood directly in front of her. Lina held Edward's hand tightly preventing him to do something that will make him received punishment from the snakes.

"I remembered it! MONSTER!" David said while while leaning close to Lina's face. That is when Lina's patience snapped and she slapped David's face. David held his face with his hand in shocked while Edward smiled darkly beside Lina.

"YOU!" David was ready to throw hand when a booming voice interuppted their scene.

"WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!'
