"What did you say?" Li Lechen's expression darkened.
"I said you're a scoundrel, inferior to Mo Linyuan!" Leng Rongrong's bright eyes gleamed with disdain as she scrutinized Li Lechen from head to toe, then declared, "You're so unattractive, yet you dare to scare people away!"
Li Lechen's face turned a sickly shade of green; he had always been compared unfavorably to Mo Linyuan, with everyone insisting he paled in comparison.
Now that Mo Linyuan was disabled, he felt a surge of confidence, only to be met with Leng Rongrong's scorn, which left him feeling deeply discontented.
"Where am I ugly? Even if I'm not handsome, it's still better than being a cripple! Besides, I have wealth, while he's merely a waste of the Mo family, devoid of money and power. What do you think you'll gain by associating with him? Just neglect. With me, you'll have endless riches."
Li Lechen sneered at Mo Linyuan. "What does this cripple have to offer? He can't even walk; don't you find him a burden?"
"Forgive me, I'm wealthy, but I simply look down on you," Leng Rongrong replied coolly.
"You—"
"Sir?" Tang Luo, who had been standing quietly behind Mo Linyuan, could no longer tolerate Li Lechen's bullying of Leng Rongrong and felt compelled to assist her.
After pretending to be a cripple, Mo Linyuan had been forced into an unbearable position.
He could never confront issues head-on.
His young mistress was quite decent; witnessing her humiliation was indeed intolerable.
"Don't think you're above me!" Li Lechen stepped closer to Leng Rongrong, reaching out to pinch her chin, intending to provoke her.
Suddenly, Mo Linyuan's wheelchair lurched forward, and with a swift movement, he grasped Li Lechen's collar, causing him to stumble and fall.
In one fluid motion, Mo Linyuan retrieved a baton from the armrest of his wheelchair.
With two swift cracks, Li Lechen found himself sprawled on the ground.
The baton pressed against Li Lechen's back as Mo Linyuan's icy voice echoed, "Are you certain you're whole? Being intact yet still lesser than a cripple—what's the use of your health? Merely a decoration?"
The words, though not heavy, bore an immense weight of authority.
Though he was a disabled man sitting in a wheelchair, his silent demeanor belied a frail appearance. However, once he spoke, an imperial aura enveloped him, instilling a primal fear and respect in those around him.
Li Lechen's previously arrogant facade crumbled, leaving him pale. He struggled to rise but was swiftly met with another strike from the baton, sending him back to the ground.
Though the staff of the 4S dealership had gathered to watch, none dared intervene.
After all, the one wielding the baton was a wealthy client who had just finalized the purchase of two luxury cars—customers are king; one must never offend them.
"Mo Linyuan, you cripple, what do you intend to do?"
Li Lechen's face turned purple with pain, yet he was too frightened to move.
The two blows Mo Linyuan delivered had been incredibly forceful; he felt as if his bones would shatter.
Mo Linyuan was far too ruthless; despite his disability, he remained as fierce as ever, and Li Lechen had thought him to be beaten down by life!
How infuriating; why should he, despite his disability, still act so haughtily?
"Apologize," Mo Linyuan demanded, the baton pressing coldly against Li Lechen's back.
Li Lechen ground his teeth in fury but refused to speak.
Mo Linyuan's fingers, elegant and poised, tightened slightly, forcing Li Lechen closer to the ground.
"Mo Linyuan, don't push your luck!" Li Lechen shouted.
"Apologize."
"I'm sorry!" Li Lechen finally relented, hastily uttering the words with little sincerity and barely coherent.
"What did you say? I didn't quite catch that!" Leng Rongrong raised an eyebrow.
"I'm sorry!" Li Lechen took a deep breath, gritting his teeth as he spoke.
"Hmm, however, I won't forgive you!" Leng Rongrong shrugged.
Li Lechen, fuming, glanced at Mo Linyuan. "Mo Linyuan, can you let me go now? I've already apologized!"
"State that you are worthless," Mo Linyuan's beautiful gaze remained fixed on Li Lechen.
"What?" Li Lechen could hardly believe his ears.
"Admit that you are worthless," Mo Linyuan said coldly.
"You shouldn't push too hard!" Li Lechen yelled in exasperation. "Qingqing, help me!"
Leng Qingqing stood to the side, stunned. She hadn't expected Mo Linyuan, despite being a cripple, to be so formidable. Wasn't he just a poor, ugly, useless waste?
Why did she sense something extraordinary about him? Even in his disabled state, he exuded an undeniable aura.
She couldn't bear to meet his gaze; locking eyes with him sent shivers down her spine.
Why was this cripple so terrifying?
Moreover, he was extraordinarily handsome.
Caught off guard, Leng Qingqing felt disoriented. Yet, when Li Lechen called for her help, she couldn't refuse. After a moment's hesitation, she dared not confront Mo Linyuan; instead, she turned on Leng Rongrong.
"Leng Rongrong, don't go too far! Let him go; do you even know who he is? He is the eldest son of the Li family, Li Lechen!"
"Li family's eldest son? Who? I don't recognize him!" Leng Rongrong snorted dismissively, feigning ignorance.
Both Leng Qingqing and Li Lechen nearly spat blood in disbelief.
Who didn't know the Li family's eldest son? Although the Mo family was one of the four powerful families, the Li family was undoubtedly the top among those beneath them.
Having finally hooked up with Li Lechen, Leng Qingqing believed herself quite impressive, only to be met with Leng Rongrong's remark.
"You, ha, you're just a country bumpkin; it's no surprise you've never seen the world! Let me inform you; he is the eldest son of the Li family. If you cross him, you will suffer gravely! The Mo family won't back you up anymore, so you'd best tread carefully to avoid a terrible fate!"
Mo Linyuan's cold gaze swept toward Leng Qingqing.
She felt a chill run down her spine under his penetrating stare, suddenly lacking confidence.
"What are you looking at? You're just a broke, crippled—do you think you're impressive just because you can hit someone? If I call the police, let's see who will come to your rescue!"
Tang Luo: "…"
Broke? Crippled?
The world's richest man was being labeled a beggar.
This woman was truly blind, having completely misjudged the situation, desperately trying to marry into wealth while missing out on the richest and most handsome man!
How tragic that their misconceptions about Mo Linyuan ran so deep.
When would he reveal his true identity? Once he did, how satisfying it would be! The constraints he faced now would pale in comparison to the freedom he would gain!
"My wife is not a country bumpkin," Mo Linyuan said, glancing coldly at Leng Qingqing. "My wife's status is a million times more esteemed than yours."
