Now what no one really truly knows is how painful being born can be. The biting cold of the air. The fact that your whole ass skeleton is jelly doesn't help with the whole getting pushed threw a small hole thing. Plus no one mentions how they smack your ass to make you cry. Like what the fuck my guys? Why? Bah that doesn't really matter what does matter is the moment I was born something clicked. I don't know how or why but when I was born I felt a great connection with something or someone in this world. Like something felt my soul and called for me! So when they smacked my ass instead of screaming I roared in rage having to fight the feeling of need. Soon though it settled down and was almost gone. The doctor looked at me in shock before saying, "Ma'am... Your son... He's been cursed. You should kill him for he is full of rag...He stopped screaming." He looked into my eyes not to find rage but rather to find the stare of a curious baby.
Moments before...
Well that doesn't feel to good... I'm about to be born... No wait... Everything froze... a god is coming. "Well hello there reborn soul. I am the minor god of of imagery. Yes that means, beauty, art, music, and even writing. That's why I'm here you get to choose your looks. Yea that's right but you don't get to change them to much from the genetics... I'm kidding this world is wonderful you could have a child that looks just like you or nothing like you at all. However you will still be the same race as your parents so that's not something you can change. Speaking of which i should tell you. This world isn't one of cultivation like your thoughts would suggest. Well it is but it also has a system so your cultivation can be blocked by your level." Ah I see... Oh wait I think...

[loading... loading complete. opening character creation.] After that what appeared before me was a very detailed image of three different versions of myself Two of which where locked until I aged further and made decisions in the one before them. So I selected the one labeled, Infancy/Early childhood. what I got from that was a screen not unlike though's of video games. Hair color eye color and other things. One thing I saw almost immediately was the ears and tail. That's right I wasn't human.
Now If I was to say i wasn't shocked I'd be lying. Now I know why That system goddess said I couldn't change my race. Okay now the first thing I noticed was the little box in the top corner that held the number 25. Now I had a guess as to what is was but i clicked it anyway.

Okay so I can make very few changes to my current looks. Let's get started. From the looks of it I have brown eye's Brown hair and... Yea a monkey tail. Oh what's this? I've got two racial options, silverback earth gorilla or moon-born soul fox. Alright I choose the soul fox my hair color has changed(and my tail become fox like) but nothing else. That's fine. So let's start with the eyes. I wasn't expecting much when I thought about the eyes, maybe a change in color or iris shape. But I was pleasantly surprised to see that wasn't all I could do.
It seems that beyond just the color of my eye's I could change their very structure. Meaning I could give them abilities. However from the looks of it its not gonna be cheap. They cost hundreds of image points, It's insane. back on topic though There is a glowing message in front of me,

Okay, it would seem I already have one. Lets take a look. I scroll for a moment before i notice there's a search bar...I might be smart but come on give me some leeway for stupidity. Moving on...

Soul Searcher is a racial ability unlocked by few of the moon born soul foxes. It grants many bonuses to the ones who unlock it. However it's power is well know making it hard for anyone who is know to have it without proper backing to protect it. It grants the holder three powers at rank one. Having three ranks this Semi Divine ability is know as an evolving power, granting a great boon to all Soul items, Giving them double the strength of their rank.
Rank 1 abilities: <Be Seen>: the moon is known to be connected to illusion and mystery. Being born under it's power you are protected from all illusions, and secrets show themselves before you.
<Moon-born> Moon-born, Being born under the moon has granted you some of it's power. However, this means now you only have one path of cultivation. The moon. Cultivate under it's light to gain great power.
<Nocturnal> You no longer need sleep like normal beings. Instead bathing in the light of the moon and stars rejuvenates you and your creations. under the night sky soul items are empowered. 4x the normal amount.

Holy... Fuck! I'm not sure if this is the best one but i don't really care. I'm gonna keep it. Now then looking at the color of my eye's and hair i realize that both are gonna give me away fast as to having <Soul Searcher>. my hair is a really nice silver and my eyes are a stunning violet color with what looks like stars sprinkled through them. Now as amazing as that is it'll give me a bad time. It's the typical look of <Soul Searcher> after all. so instead I'm gonna change so stuff here and there.
In the end I left the silver hair and changed my eyes into a similar silver color with specks of stars in them. Along with my skin had turned into an easily burnt pale color that I had changed to a more tannish color that I got from my Gorilla side. Now other than that there wasn't much I could change and I ended up with ten extra image points. And after all of that was finished and i was asked if I was sure of my choices, my body was racked with pain. It was rather terrible. However the moment I touched moonlight I felt the pain wash away. But that feeling of longing came fast after, and rage with it. I would decide my own damn fate no matter who stood in my way god's be damned. That internal declaration cause the feeling to wane. and soon enough disappear. Then I heard a few things. A man speaking an unknown language, and a woman gasping in pain, and then screaming. I was quickly handed of to a midwife, before the, Doctor(I assume) goes back to help my mother? Again, low and behold I had a twin sister.
Now a few moments later and both me and my sister where cradled in mothers arms. She was a beautiful woman with stunning silver hair, and breath taking crystal blue eye's. My sister was much the same. Beautiful silver hair, and rich chocolate brown eyes. Those eye's came from our father as far as i can tell i haven't... seen... him... yet....zzzzzz.....zzzzz....
