59 CH 59: SIL?

The trio swaggered into the room like they owned the place which earned the stares of everyone in the room. The trio walked to the only available chairs that were between the Genosha leaders and Fantastic 4. As Jason sat down, he flashed Tigra a smile before he looked at his mother and brothers while nodding at each of them.

"Hey, SIL. Brothers," he asked arrogantly with his arms crossed.

Tigra looked around before pointing a finger at her own face.

"Sil? Are you talking about me?"

"Of course. SIL stands for sister-in-law. Figured I should give you a nickname since we will be family soon."

Tigra was stunned at that answer but a small smile appeared on her face. She had the impression that Jason was wild and unreasonable before but did not know that he could be sweet. Without her knowing, she had a good impression of Jason because of a simple and terrible nickname.

Jason flashed his eldest brother a smile while he showed off how he was easily able to bring Dick's fiance to his side. Dick stared at Jason with eyes that could spit fire while Jason had eyes that welcomed a fight.

Magus had a small smile on her face as she looked at her two sons acting the same as when they were younger. Jason had always been the one that was the most rebellious of her sons and the one that she had worried about the most.

Dick was the one who followed in her footsteps and had always been the responsible one. Tim was the one who tried to pretend he was not like her but was the most like her.

But it was Jason that truly stood out. Jason would start fights with his words. He would insult a person in a way that they could not counter with words so they would end up resorting to their fists. He did not mind standing up for the little guy but also might have been the one picking on the little guy.

Jason broke eye contact with Dick and looked around the table to see who he could recognize. Most of the costumes from TV except for Black Panther. After looking at her, he felt that she was familiar but was not sure.

The Black Panther had only recently become a public hero and Wakanda was still a third-world nation to most people. But after seeing the woman's costume and remembering what happened to him nearly 4 years ago, Jason let out a gasp of surprise.

"Oh! It's you! From the trials 4 years ago! Your name was..." but before he could finish, 4 panther claws shot out of the woman's hand toward Jason but Okita blocked them with her sword. Shuri wanted to hide her identity because, besides Wakandans, no one else was supposed to know the identity of the Black Panther.

At first, Shuri did not recognize Jason. They were motes of light during the trials while Jason's figure and voice had some slight changes over the years. But once he mentioned the trial, she immediately knew who he was since he was the only participant in the trial who was not from Wakanda.

'I suppose I owe him since he helped me win the title but I still can't let him reveal my identity.'

"Do not say it. We can speak in private afterward. You are here for a reason, correct?" Shuri said in her 'queen voice' but Jason did not take it too seriously. He was used to looking down on powerful people and did not care about 'royals'. He only brought up the trial because that is how he recognized her.

While everyone else in the room was curious about how the pair met, they wanted to get back to the most pressing issue, The Beasts' Campaign. The group of gods had been doing whatever they pleased for the past few months.

"She is right," Captain America said. "You all have been acting of your own accord without considering the law when you do. You act as judge, jury, and executioner without care for the damage you cause."

"Battling Abomination in Atlanta and taking out seven city blocks, taking on several Hydra bases that were located in populated areas, Cassandra Nova battle, executing a nation's leader live on the internet, the murder of at least 15,000 individuals. Tell me when to stop," Black Widow listed off.

Jason laughed at Captain America's and Black Widow's words. He had heard it from the groups the few times they had caught up to them but never paid any heed because he knew what he was doing. Every person killed, every building damaged, all weapons destroyed, every piece of land scorched, he did it all with a goal in mind.

"Also hunted down and killed 300 or so members of a cult that worshipped Dormammu. Did that on the way over here."

"Do you think that this is a joke?"

"Nope. Just you guys are. The dictator had killed 10s of thousands of his people without your interference. He had even eaten and tortured children live over the internet but you all let the government stop you from interfering.

Cassandra Nova's battle was in the middle of the jungle. It had no impact on anyone or even the environment.

The people we have killed have all been enemy combatants. I'm sure that assassins and soldiers such as yourselves know that. Former ones I mean.

But ignoring all of that. Even if they were good. Even if they had all won noble peace prizes, what are you gonna do about it? Why should gods have to follow the laws of man?"
