As Longwei said that, he took a step forward and vanished from view. Weisheng then suddenly heard the air behind him being sliced apart, quickly turning around he saw the tip of Longwei's Sword Qi piercing towards his throat at an unimaginable speed.
Without a hint of hesitation, Weisheng took a step back, and at the same time, a fierce and raging fire appeared around his body before quickly coalescing into a shield in front of him.
Longwei's sword strike was blocked with a loud bang.
Everything took time to explain but the series of events actually took place in only a fraction of a second.
Weisheng was forced to take a step again but this time it wasn't out of his own will. Longwei's single sword strike was actually strong enough to force him, a Core Formation expert back. After his initial shock Weisheng's once calm expression become absolutely solemn.
He didn't expect Longwei's strength to be so great, his single sword strike was equal in strength with the blow of an early Core Formation expert.
'Is this what a monster-level genius is capable of? How can his power at the mid-Foundation realm rival an early-stage Core Formation expert? Even among the top geniuses on planet Daiyu, I haven't heard of someone being able to accomplish such a feat.'
Weisheng's mind was in chaos.
Even with his cultivation suppress to the early Core Formation realm, the gap between him and Longwei's strength should have been seas apart. Comparing the strength of a peak-stage Foundation realm cultivator to an early stage Core Formation realm, a Core Formation realm cultivator's power is several times greater. Using basic techniques it would take at least twenty peak-stage Foundation realm cultivators to match even one Core Formation expert in power.
But Longwei was only at the mid-foundation realm and yet he was able to force an early stage Core Formation realm expert back with a single blow. That means his strike was as powerful as twenty peak-stage Foundation realm cultivators.
Weisheng's mind was understandably in chaos, the top geniuses of planet Daiyu with a Legendary Physique might not have been able to show such strength in the mid-Foundation realm. Only a Heavenly genius like Yang Yuyan who was able to comprehend Blade Intent and combined it with her Karma Physique would have been able to show such strength.
But that would mean Longwei's talent was on par with the most talented person on planet Daiyu. Not only was Weisheng solemn at the moment, his desire to kill Longwei multiplied even more.
'He absolutely must die. If our plans succeed and the Wu Clan is destroyed but he somehow survives, then we will forever be in constant danger of being destroyed. He's just too much of a monster, it's better to stomp out the young shoot before it can grow into a towering tree.'
As Weisheng thought this, he suddenly saw the crimson red fire shield he conjured being split apart by a blue light.
Weisheng's eyes widen into absolute disbelief as he raised his arms into a cross and blocked Longwei's second sword strike.
Longwei's sharp and swift Sword Qi landed on Weisheng's arms that were coated in a bright red gauntlet that was condensed from fire.
The second sword strike from Longwei sent Weisheng flying into the air towards the pond.
Longmin and the bodyguards two demonic beasts had long given way for the two to battle.
Weisheng's figure was seen falling towards the pond below him, but before he reached it, he manage to do a backflip in the air and land on the surface of the pond. However, the momentum from Longwei's sword strike caused him to skid backward on top of the water surface unable to stop his body.
It was only when he reached several dozen meters out did he manage to come to a stop.
Standing up from his crouched position, Weisheng glanced down at his arms and saw that the crimson red gauntlets he conjured from his fire had several spider web cracks on them.
Shaking his arms the gauntlets began to fall apart into pieces. As they fell into the pond below sizzling noises sounded out, but contrary to what was supposed to happen, the pieces of gauntlets made from Weisheng's condense fire were unaffected by the water. They just sank further and further down, until they fell to the pond floor.
Even there, they were still burning as if they were in the open air. The water in the pond did not affect them whatsoever, and this wasn't that surprising.
The fire Weisheng conjured them from was his elemental attribute that contained the laws of fire.
After a Foundation realm cultivator condenses his ninth and final Qi Pillar, they will move to the next realm of cultivation by shattering their Qi Pillars and then condensing the stored Spiritual Qi in them into a golden core, thus the reason why the Core Formation realm is named as such.
The process of shattering one's Qi Pillars and condensing it into a golden core is the first of many tribulations on the path of cultivation. If the process is done incorrectly, then not only can all the Spiritual Qi that was arduously gathered be dispersed and cause a person's cultivation base to regress, it can also cause death.
Due to this, some people might hesitate to even attempt it and just remain within the Foundation realm forever. The persons who made this decision were scorned upon by others, because what was the point of cultivating if you're scared of dying? The cultivation world was a place where the strong prey on the weak, only the strong-willed people who strive for power will survive. It had no place for cowards.
But with that being said, if a person were to overcome the fear of possibly dying and successfully condensed their golden core, not only will their soul increase in size and strength, their body's capacity to hold Spiritual Qi would multiply several folds as well.
And that's not the end of it because as someone enters the Core Formation realm, their Spiritual Qi in their golden core would begin to take on an elemental property.
Every cultivator's Qi has a natural elemental property that's laid dormant inside of them. Only when one enters the Core Formation realm does it awaken and explode with full force. However, one should know that a person's natural elemental attribute could change depending on the cultivation method he or she cultivated.
And in Weisheng's case, it was... somewhat the case.

As Weisheng finished shaking off the remaining pieces of gauntlets on his arms, he slowly looked up and saw Longwei standing on a broadsword, slowly coming towards him.
He stared at Longwei and said, "Never in my wildest dreams did I think your power would be this great. I thought you would rely solely on your Wu Clan's Saint-level Sword Arts or Daoist Magic for your five moves. But who would have thought your first and second sword strike would be just two simple sword attacks."
Weisheng then shook his head and continue.
"I really did underestimate you young master Longwei, even after knowing that you possessed the third-ranked Legendary Physique, the Dao Physique and that you were placed fourth in the Seven Continents Tournament, a tournament that gathered all of the continents geniuses in one arena, I knew all of that and still underestimated you."
Weisheng then let out a loud sigh and looked towards Longwei and said, "I see why you're called the Wu Clan's young dragon, that's a really fitting name for you young master Longwei."
Longwei, who was on the hovering sword, couldn't help but frown upon hearing Weisheng's words. Despite him spitting out those words of praise he was still nonchalant about it.
Longwei's eyes narrowed as he said, "That's only two moves, in the next three attacks I'll have blood flowing from your open neck."
Weisheng only smiled a smile that wasn't really a smile. He then took a step forward and the previous calm water in the large pond became extremely violent. Ripples spread out before full waves began to rise and fall. The trees at the edge of the pond that was several hundred meters away were shaking to the point some of them were uprooted.
Weisheng's calm voice echoed out in the midst of everything.
"Despite all of that, you'll eventually relinquish the Heavenly Pallet to me."
As soon as Weisheng finish speaking, the space behind him became distorted as it twist and turn, then, without much resistance, it shattered like glass.
From the shattered space a fierce and raging crimson red light appeared which was accompanied by soft and gentle blue light. Soon enough a huge sun and moon appeared, which slowly increased in size.
The moon was crescent and as it grew larger it seemed as if it had dyed half the world in blue. While the sky seemed to have gained a fifth sun as the crimson red fireball dyed everything else in crimson red.
Looking at the two gigantic heavenly bodies sending out ripples in space as they hovered behind Weisheng, made him look like a god that was in control of both the sun and moon.
