Progress

A total of seven days passed, Alodar never slept during this time however focusing on his work. He had summoned a few lesser creatures that didn't need much mana. Sadly they couldn't help Alodar with his mana generators so he sent them on missions. He had a total of 7 summoned monsters, 4 sun souls, 2 mud anomalies, and a jade kobold. The sun souls were by far the weakest of the summons, they couldn't even attack, they had two natural skills. Light which lets them produce a feint glow and light ray which was exactly that, it was only useful as a terrible flashlight, they could however fly so made great scouts. The Mud anomalies were earth elementals with the ability to manipulate its body, they were perfect for making buildings and maintenance. Lastly the jade kobold it was just that a kobold, only it had green scales and was naturally stronger than its normal cousins.

The sun souls where Alodar's eyes and ears in the local area scouting around for anything nearby. The mud anomalies were making bricks out of themselves then making structures out of them. The kobold was hunting what prey it could find and foraging for food. While Alodar had food it wouldn't last forever especially for more than himself. He had been able to make a dozen more mana generators with what he had. If he wanted to make more he would have to find the materials necessary, or turn mana into items, which was hard to do as Alodar wasn't a alchemist and there wasn't enough mana in the first place. The vast expanse that was the forest around the mountain had scarce animal life. Which lead Alodar to believe either this was a really new world or maybe the winds of magic blew a lot of it away.

With what mana generators he had he could feasibly support more summons, or maybe a magic formation of sorts. The only problem was which one, if he went with summoning he could try and contract a alchemist or maybe a artificer. However they couldn't make any more items as the mana couldn't support them and whatever they made. If it was a formation, well which one. In this situation what would be best. He had invented a few formations himself but he wasn't a formation expert. Suddenly he had an idea, He could set up a self created formation, the Enchanted Formation it would copy the ability of any enchantment. He could use a Mana regeneration enchant to speed up mana growth. Most enchantments were percent based so it would scale to the large area. With the formation he could try and get more summons.

As day slowly turned to night, Alodar looked at the things that got done today. The mud anomalies had built a pseudo house for him and them to live in, the Sun Souls hadn't returned but they had found a few dens of local wild life along the way. As for the Jade Kobold, he had captured a few creatures and put them in a pen outside the crater. Alodar had considered putting them in the crater but the mana was precious and he couldn't risk anything going wrong. He didn't want them to suddenly become monsters that needed a ton of mana. Yet despite the slow progress it was amazing what he had done so far.

Sorry for the long break in between chapters, I got writers block.
