11 I still miss her

Next Morning

"So where are we going, Mr Kyong?"

He smirked and said, "First the stomach pleasing, then the heart pleasing"

He was good with words sometimes. We stopped by the beautiful restaurant near the river side.

"I want bacon wrapped and chicken breast noodles" I said

"Noodles early morning? They said it isn't good but-" he closed the menu book and said, "One bacon wrapped, two chicken breast noodles and a bottle of soju"

"Drinks, early morning?" I smiled at him

"No rules today" he winked at me.

As we drove over the city, I asked him "Kyong! Where are we going?'

He turned the car to the left and then looked at me, "Lotte tower" he spoke at a low voice

As we reached there, I saw a enormously tall building.

"I am terrified" I turned to him

He patted my head and said, "If you must be terrified, it should be only to not explore beauty in life"

I looked at him, "Let get there"

"Huh!" he laughs "Brave girl" he gave a side smile

I gasped when I saw the city from the tall tower.

Kyong starts to speak "Lotte World Tower is a 123-floor 555.7-metre skyscraper located in Seoul, South Korea. It opened to the public on April 11, 2017, and is currently the tallest building in South Korea and the fifth tallest in the world."

It took us three hours to reach here.

"It is incredible" my eyes were filled with tears as emotions overfilled my heart.

Kyong had a worried look, "What happened?"

I wiped my tears quickly, "It's beautiful"

As we sat there it was chilling and the air was too cold as well.

Kyong took off his overcoat and placed it on my shoulders, "It's getting colder, do you still want to stay?" he speaks not exactly looking at me.

"Thank you" I put my hold on the coat, "I want to stay little longer"

"So, It is your first time in Korea, isn't it?" he asked

I looked up and the sky still looks so far, "No, I've been here once when I was just 4 years old"

Kyong was less surprised, "You never said that"

I laughed sightly just to play with him, "because you never asked"

"What's the story behind?" he raised his eyebrows as he leaned his back on the wall.

I sigh

"My grandma that is, my mom's mom was a Korean" as I continued Kyong turned towards me shocked, "so making my mom a half Korean"

"And?"

"She married my dad, her college sweet heart from Switzerland. They graduated together from there. My mom used to tell me about grandma but I never got the chance to visit her since grandma was always busy. I used to here from her only twice a year, my birthday and New year"

Kyong stands up and tells me to hold on a sec and comes back with Starbucks coffee.

"You get this here too" I was surprised

"Where do you think you where?" he toasted my cup "Continue"

I sipped the coffee and continued, "My mom yearned to see grandma every single day. She made me watch k-dramas and told me about Korean culture. Ah!! She was so beautiful"

Kyong looked at me and smiled, "She must have been"

"She died before I could take her to Korea. And I never heard from grandma again" I looked up and tried blinking rapidly avoiding my tears to fall.

I continued, "I still miss her" I smiled at Kyong

He stood up, "Are you hungry?"

I giggled, "Yes I am"

Kyong offered his hand to raise up, "Let's go!"

I grab his hand and he pulled me up, we crashed on each other, there was a pause then he said, "You're too pretty to be kept hungry"
