The break

Tala

I follow Roman into the house and he goes straight to his room with me behind his tail. He hasn't looked at me once and something feels off. I don't know what it is and I can't pinpoint the weirdness. 

"Where were you last night?" I ask him because it has been eating me up. Roman has been distant. At first, I thought it was because of the society and the pressure he is getting from Lowell but it seems like there is more. I don't know if I can stand this offish behavior. He is leaving the compound today and it doesn't even seem like he is bothered. 

I hate being this type of person but I am worried and suspicious.
