5 Chapter 4

"Mmmm..." I stretched as i woke up, looking at the clock i see its 10 in the morning, much later than i usually sleep. Alpha was no longer next to me, i hope he just had work to do, or was hungry or something, it would break my heart if he was avoiding me just because we had sex last night.

He wouldn't do that? Would he? I ask my wolf.

'No, of course not! Mate loves us, but he is an alpha, he has many things that take up his time' her answer made sense, but it did little to quiet the worry in my mind.

Pushing up out of the bed i decide to brush my teeth and get dressed before looking for him. While i am gettimg ready i think of how to find him... i can just wander around until i see him, and if anyone stops me i can act like i am looking for some breakfast. I fix my hair, give myself a once over in the mirror and exit the bathroom to find Alpha on the bed with a tray of food.

He smiles up at me when he sees me and says "i was hoping you would sleep until i returned, i wanted to surprise you with breakfast in bed. But i am not a very practiced cook, and i kept having to throw out the eggs and start over.... I took too long, I'm so sorry you woke up alone." He looked so ashamed for leaving me alone as he stood up and crossed the room to stand in front of me. "Please," He started "say something, i need to know what you're thinking. I'm going crazy here.... just... d...do you, i mean, do you have any regrets about last night? Is that what this look on your face means?"
