1 Did i just reincarnated?

A typical young man died in an accident...... Better stop using this cliche, welp CHANGE!!!

There was an old man who died a peaceful death in his sleep, suddenly awaken by a bright light in a spacious white room. There is no one but himself, when suddenly a beautiful voice with gender neutral sounding said "Welcome to the world of Granadem, you are the next soul that picked by our lottery system to be reincarnated here. Looking at your bio, you seem to live a very colourful life." said The Voice.

"At young age father died in a runaway car accident, mother followed soon after from overworking. Then live with your father's family which in the end got chased out of the house once your inheritance was siphoned dry by the said family, and sent to an orphanage. A year later you ran away from the orphanage and then doing your first job of the many jobs later..."

The list keep going for a long time, that could make people lulled to sleep which what happens to the old man poor soul. The voice whom notice this, suddenly make a noise to wake the old man soul. "Just stay awake for few minutes, i'm alnost there you know. At the Age of 77 got rid an assassin that trying to kill you, with a fork. Few months later the said assassin organization come again for a revenge but in the end got wiped out by yourself *whistling* Wow, that's the best ex-secret agent for you. Never mess with an R.E.D.(Retired Extremely Dangerous)" The Voice said "So, why do you still single?"

Hearing this question the old man shrugged and says "I have no idea".

"Really now? As far as i can see here, you have a very unexpressive face, a cold demeanor and sometimes scary vibe emanated from you. It's a wonder if any woman likes you, although few tried to get close, you gave the cold shoulder" The Voice feels helpless and then say "You better fix that introvert way of living of yours or you will never have any happiness."

"Oh well nevermind that, i'm intrigued that you don't feel strange or shouting or rejecting that you have died?" The voice ask curiously.

"As an agent i need to have a strong mind in every situation that could occur anytime, anywhere, but to tell the truth i'm just mindblown that i don't know what to do. I never thought reincarnation is real and it's like the light novels i've read in my previous life."

"About that, there is a reason why there is so many stories about reincarnation in your world, to prepare the souls who might have the chance just like you now. Although most 88% went to histeria before calming down and then have a mental breakdown *sigh*" says The Voice feeling dejected while reminiscing.

"Well then since you gonna reincarnate to this world of mine is there any question?". The old man hearing this ask "Are you a God or Goddess? And what's your name?". Hearing the question The Voice finally realized "Oh my, how uncourteus of me forgotting to introduce myself fufufu. My name is Friesca, and i'm The Goddess in charge of this world, Granadem". The old man then replied "My name is James, James Smith. The name that given to me in my previous world".

The Goddess who heard that, then laugh playfully "I know that *giggle*, don't forget i have your bio here" Goddess Friesca then say it to James. James who heard it felt embarassed and while faking a cough "I just want to introduce myself that's all."

"Alright i'm just teasing you" looking at embarassed look of John, Goddess Friesca laugh joyfully.

"Anymore questions?" Goddess Friesca asking John again. "Ah yes, what kind of world is Granadem? Is there any war? Demon King? Or disaster is imminent in near future?" James bombarded the Goddess with questions, one after the other. Hearing the question, Goddess Friesca then answered, "Granadem is a world where the system looks like a game, but it can only be accessed through a special channel, you will know what that is once you reincarnated. The answer for 2nd question is, Yes and No, Yes there is war, No for it's still a peaceful world, for now". Hearing that James eyes twitched a bit 'damn it, i don't want to be reincarnated in a country that like to war, hopefully i can choose' James thinking in his mind.

"Answer for 3rd amd 4th Yes there is a Demon King but not your usual one, as for disaster i can't say it, for that is classified information in God Realm" James can feel that Goddess Friesca was having a satisfied and smug face when saying classified information which James feel strange since the Goddess can only be heard not seen.

"If there is no more question we can continue to reincarnation process, any wish to make? You only have 1 wish." Hearing that James feel perplexed and say "This wish, what was the purpose?"

"It's a present for a soul that not from this world and reincarnated here. Besides, this wish can be anything, be a richest man, have a handsome/beautiful features, skilled in something, but no instant mastery. It will seriously destroyed the balance of the world. James who heard that felt sad for a moment, after all that's what he want to wish for.

Goddess Friesca then explain to John "Once there is a man who reincarnated and choose this wish, luckily or unluckily at the age of 24 he got a skill Mana Siphon which is a passive buff that have continuous effect. How he got it you say? From a skill stone, which could give any skill from good to bad randomly. So when he got it, the skill then maxed which siphon mana from everything, plants, peoples, animals, environments. Once he start siphoning mana, his mana pool get bigger and bigger which the ending is pretty bad. His body blew up in pieces"

James hearing this start to sweat like a waterfall 'HOLY SHIT!! THAT HAPPENS?!' "But wasn't mana siphon can only take a little at a time? How come this kind of thing happens?" Goddess Friesca then explained "The reason for it is because Mana Siphon was supposed to took mana from something in small percentage, at level 1 around 1% of your MAX mana pool in 10 seconds continuously, but what happens when it was maxed? Level 9 10% of your MAX mana in 10 seconds continuously, and the only way to counteracted it is to have another passive skill called Magic Counter Balance which will keep your mana reserve stabilized at max without getting over the limit. Something like a stop gap by releasing excessive mana out of your body."

Hearing the explanation James feel it's a shame but suddenly asked Goddess Friesca "But, isn't this world has a system like game? Wasn't he supposed to get another skill when something happens?"

"Now listen very carefully, the reason why certain people can gain an extra skill when something bad happen in that novel story is because that person has the system integrated on him/herself. Get it? It's like you own the OS to counteract everything that happens, since you own the source code to change and adapt. But here? You are the user, to get a skill you either have to buy/find skill stones or fight monsters to get the skill stones you want in a low chance."

"Ohh, i get it" James understand why that thing happens to the previous guy, since he doesn't have the skill to let out the excess mana, which in return explode his body. "Good that you understand, so what is your wish?"

James think a bit longer then decided, "I wish for....."
