1 The Ring Of Yuzuvas

Everything around me was incredibly dark.

I couldn't feel, see or hear anything, only my consciousness was left to prove my existence.

A little while passed and then I felt something for the first time, I was spinning really fast, making me want to vomit. Then I gathered in a place that was fused with this thing that was spinning me really fast, and after that I could see what was around me.

In front of me, an old dwarf holding a hammer looked at me. On his face, a long red line made of blood flowed from his eyes.

Another little moment passed as the old dwarf wiped away the blood that was flowing from his eyes. I slowly said to feel my being more clearly. I was small, shiny like gold and circular like a ring. No it is wrong! I was a ring!

I felt the dwarf put down his hammer and gently grip me in his palm to take a closer look.

"A masterpiece! I created a masterpiece! The very first conscious artifact in the land! Ahahahahah!"

Cough use

"Too bad, I'm not able to live to see what this artifact will generate in the future. I had to use my last years of life expectancy to create it. Merging a soul into a ring isn't so easy."

Listening to the old dwarf speak, I was able to understand who I am.

Come to think of it, I wonder how I can understand what he is saying, when I am only supposed to be a new dawning consciousness, devoid of all knowledge.

hmm? I'll leave that for later. For the moment the old dwarf places me on a cushion placed under a window of the forge. it allows me to look outside.

I don't have eyes so I don't really understand how I can do it. But I can, therefore I do.

Looking out the window, I can see that the forge is installed on top of a mountain. Looking at his feet, I see a forest stretching for several kilometers.

A small path starting from the forge goes slowly into the forest. I lost his trace under the leaves of the trees.

In the distance, I can barely make out the outlines of a city. But I don't know if that's really it. I've never seen them before. I was born barely a minute or a second ago.

As I examined the scene through the window, the sound of a heavy object hitting the ground surprised me. Turning around, I saw the old dwarf lay her face against the ground.

His completely white hair is starting to fall out, his forehead filled with wrinkles, as if he had turned 100 years in the space of 2 minutes.

Looking at him for a few minutes, I started to wonder if he was dead. I'll be sad because I'm just a ring. I can't move and I have nothing to do but look around.

Continuing to wait for the old dwarf to get up in despair that he might be dead and leave me alone here in his forge. I take a closer look inside the forge.

Towards the rear of the forge, there is a burning fireplace next to a large reservoir filled with water and an anvil with a long pliers on it.

Closer to the front door leading outside, there are two doors probably leading to the bedroom and the storage room.

Right in front of me is a small dining table with two chairs with the rest of the dinner.

By waiting another ten minutes, I was finally sure that the old dwarf was dead. Yeah, I'm not so eager to wai an hour to see if it's just unconscious. But don't move and wait 15 minutes in a room. You quickly get bored of it.

Looking at the sky through the window. I realize that it is now dark, the sun is already setting, sticking to the moon in its place.

I don't think anyone spends the night in the forest to see the old dwarf. It can be dangerous inside, I don't know.

Looking for entertainment to pass the time, waiting for my destiny to come. I am slightly depressed, when I see only old tools and the body of the old dwarf inside the forge.

Resign myself to my fate. I try to sleep to pass the time. I don't know if you can really say I'm sleeping. I think more than it should be said like, I'm put on hold.

And like that, several days spent with me thinking about everything and nothing while slowly starting to go crazy. Like talking to myself, counting to a hundred hundred times, or trying to create my own language. Until the day when a mysterious flash of inspiration comes to me.

"STATUS!"

And ...

Nothing happened for several seconds, until I went back to sleep.

When I woke up, I was surprised to see a strange acquaintance creep into my head.

I think my call for status had worked. But I was too attentive to a visual interface, that I didn't pay attention to myself.
