1 Getting Expelled

"You. Are. Expelled." Principal Uvin said nothing but those words since I stepped on his office an hour ago. Every question I asked, the answer is the same. Every statement I state, the response is like that.

"I swear, I'll behave! Please-"

"Expelled." I tried to calm myself to refrain from doing anything that will only worsen my situation.

"This is so unnecessary Principal." I faked a smile.

"Talking to me is unnecessary, because you are still expelled." At least his sentence got longer, but it still ended with that shitty expelled thingy.

"I'll lose my scholarship if I were expelled. Please Principal Uvin." I did my best to look pitiful but he just gave me poker face.

"If you didn't want to lose it, you should've taken care of it."

"I did! I was always on the list-"

"You know that that's not everything we-"

"Please, Principal!" I begged.

"Personally, I don't want to expel you." My face lit up but drooped in no time. "But I shouldn't mix my personal life from work life. Your issue is within my work so I need to punish you according to the school rules."

"But-"

"No buts. Ms. Flynt, you are expelled." I was about to talk more but his telephone rang and he picked it up, waving his hands to me in a dismissive manner. I had no choice but to leave. I walked towards the door when the principal called my name. "Ms. Flynt!" I looked at him with his hands covering the mic of the phone. "We already contacted your father." Oh great! I wasn't able to stop my eyes from rolling. I reached for the door and shut it loudly behind me.

"How it went?" How many times should I roll my eyes today?

"You think?" We walked through the hallway to I don't really know where.

"Should we quit? We'll transfer to-"

"Should you?" I raised an eyebrow at him. "You know the answer."

"It's not a problem really. If we can just find a work and board near the school."

"You know my tuition there will be worth buying a house." He stopped on his track.

"You're too good for a demon, ya' know?" I held back a smile and just smirked.

"No, I'm not worried that you'll burn your ass from overworking. I'm boasting how rich my parents are." He shrugged while a grin was plastered on his face. "Where's Roy?"

"Inside." I only realized that we arrived at the cafeteria.

"Why are we eating here?" I narrowed my eyes at him. He knows I'm dreading interactions right now. He dragged me inside instead of answering. Tears formed threatening to fall at any moment when I heard a slow beat as I entered.

~It's time to go home

It's time to go home

It's time to go home

It's time to say goodbye

I had so much fun

And you had so much fun

We all had so much fun

And now we say goodbye

Goodbye, goodbye

See you again

Goodbye, goodbye

See you again~

If you know that song, you know how I feel. Bullshit. The tears that welled up instantly dried. They really love me so much. "You all look like a walrus!" Everyone burst to laughters. The song was for preschoolers by The Singing Walrus.

"We will surely miss you though." Paz, a guy from the other section said.

"I won't. Now back to your businesses, classes are about to start." They know I was just avoiding dramas so they listened.

I saw Roy seated with the our whole section. I hesitated for a bit before Red gripped my wrist again then pulled me to their table. I noticed that are adviser is with them and I shot him a questioning stare.

"Look, all of you are present and that only happened since never. So, I wouldn't miss this." I rolled my eyes at him.

"How your talk with the principal goes?" Em asked.

"Nay." I answered and popped fries which I stole from the plate I reached.

"You should talk to him." They all looked at Sir Vin but he shook his head.

"I would if only I'm not a faculty here and does not know the rules of this school." My classmates hissed at him.

"She does nothing extravagant." One of my classmate defended me.

"Uh-huh! But remember that three lates are equivalent to one absent... Little things shouldn't be dismissed nonchalantly, they results to something bigger." He replied.

"If we're not in school, I would've already told you to stop preaching or just leave." Roy said that gain laughters.

"We suggested that we all talk to the principal, almost all of us agreed." Lix said while also raising his hand.

"Well, I'm not sure I've heard of that." Red replied.

"Because you were with Bon." So they must've talked while Red's waiting for me outside the principal's office.

"I also know nothing about that." Roy said. Lix let out an exasperated breath and just ignored them.

"The principal might change his mind if we all went to him. And the other sections will be willing to come, for sure. Well, except for the first section." Lix added.

"That is so great!" I exclaimed and they cheered in excitement. "And will definitely add up to the list of reasons to kick me out. I'm leading you to another 'rebellion'."

"You know why she's being expelled, and you decided to do it again?" Roy questioned.

"We just wanted to help." Others replied.

"Listen, I'm only gonna say this once, do not ever make me repeat it. I'm grateful and I appreciate your efforts but this is out of your-our control now. Not everyone is like us that break rules every minute, the faculty cannot withdraw their decision just because we plead. It's not like they ruled an unjust judgement, every law people can prove I'm guilty." I pouted.

"But we can't just stop worrying about you. You lose your scholarship-"

"That really isn't a problem because we don't have tuition here." I gave them an assuring smile.

"Yes we don't. But you won't study here anymore. You'll get lucky if you find a public school who will accept you half-way from finishing the school year and with your perfectly awful school records." Everybody took time to pity me but that's not what I worry about.

"Guys, I got this." I said just before the bell rang. I could feel their hesitations but Sir Vin pushed each one of them.

"We won't see you after this, right?" Lix asked.

"You will." I smiled at them and they gave me hugs and forehead kisses which they know I hate.

"Should we drop you off to your house?" Red asked when only the three of us were left inside the whole cafeteria.

"You have classes." I said staring straight to the window, letting my thoughts swirl on my mind.

"You used to say 'we'." Roy said and I grimaced.

"Whatever. Our response will always be the same." Red chuckled. We exchanged glances and agreed mentally.

"Classes?" We said in between chuckles.

We head out of the school using our own exit, the walls. It's easier to climb the wall when you aren't wearing skirt, so uniform is useless for me, and that is so uncomfortable.

Instead of going wild or doing mad things, we head to a hill to chill. "Chillin' on a hill." I giggled.

"So, this is our last ditching school together?" Red asked looking up at the sky while he was sitting down near the edge.

"And the last time of you being dramatic. Next time you are, I'll push you down there." I playfully pushed him but Roy pushed me, I think too strong for it to become a joke, I almost died of heart attack. They both laughed while I glared at them.

"You talked to him already?" Roy asked.

"Nah... Would just probably scold me."

"Probably." He agreed.

"Hey..." I trailed off.

"We know." Roy told me.

"Trust us." Red added. We knew each other too well but I can't help but worry about them more than I worry for me.
