5 Ch 5 Routine

Isaac looked at the heavy platter in front of him with mouth watering anticipation. It had already been two days since he had met Adam, and the two of them kept to their regular routine.

For the past two days he had kept mostly to himself, only staying inside his room, practicing and meditating.

He had hardly talked to his sister's or his father, only telling them a word or two in passing.

Today Isaac had chosen to go to school instead of staying home. Reason's being, he wanted to take advantage of the schools free lunch to eat as much as he wanted.

He had gotten his free lunch with all of the sides that came with it and also decided to pay the extra cheap price of three fifty for three extra go arounds.

The amount of food on the table had to of exceeded ten thousand calories. Adam had chosen his food wisely. Rather then wasting his limited food slots on things with lot's of vegetables and low carbs, he'd chosen the meatier and hardier foods.

Things such as pizza's, burgers, and steaks lined his plate. Isaac, ate furiously as if his life depended on it. He had been secretly practicing soul techniques all day, by twirling his pencil underneath his table so no one could see him.

He'd at first thought it was easy, but after the two hundredth revolution he was about ready to start throwing up.

At the same time he was so hungry that if he'd of waited for an hour or two longer, he'd of seriously began to consider whether to eat his pencil or not.

Isaac, could remember quite embarrassingly how the girl next to him was giving him strange looks, as he was sweating profusely while shaking, with both of his hands under the table.

Isaac shook his head violently trying to force the memory to the back of his head.

As he was eating the other students were giving him strange looks.

"Hey" came a whispering, but fully audible voice of a girl sitting on another table.

She tapped to the side and spoke to her friend next to her. "Why is he eating so much, I didn't know that this school allowed mental cases admission who is he?".

"Him?" the boy sitting next to her jumped in and answered. " His name is Isaac Lewis, he's in my class.. I believe he's the only kid from district D in this school".

Shock and appall were written on some of the students faces. " Ew.. why'd they let him in" Another audible whisper was heard. " Yeah what was the principle thinking allowing a thug like that to come here".

Words of scorn and mockery was heard around Isaac, as well as some pity from some better natured students.

Adam couldn't help but be intrigued by what they were saying. 'D district?' Adam, could somewhat guess what they were talking about, but because of his ignorance to how the world had changed since he had left so long ago, (to his surprise Isaac had told him more then thirty years had passed since he ended up in his own universe), he didn't have a full grasp of the worlds situation.

"Um.. bro" Adam, whispered as if he was afraid of the others hearing him.

"What?" Came the almost incoherent reply from Isaac whose mouth was stuffed. The funny thing is he didn't talk to Adam using his mind, choosing to instead say it out loud, drawing several more funny looks his direction.

"Ah?" Adam, for a brief second couldn't say anything. 'Did I get stuck with an idiot or does he just have no EQ?'. Choosing to continue, he spoke again " With you eating like that, your drawing a lot of attention from the others around you."

"O.. Ok then" Isaac once again spoke into the air like a crazy person. Adam, staring at the pig stuffing his mouth without a care in the world, couldn't help but palm his face 'Did excessive training make him like this or was he always this stupid?'.

He looked like a disappointed father.

Adam, wanted to continue speaking, but before he could open his mouth Isaac butted in " There was a time when I had wanted to fit in and get along with them, but they all chose to instead bully and ridicule me when they heard my family's situation..". He said in spirit speech.

'Ah.. so that's how it is' Adam looked at the

engorged Isaac and couldn't help but draw a new opinion of him. looking at how Isaac ate his fill, without so much as a care for proper manners when the others were staring and scorning him, Adam nodded his head 'He's like a solitary wolf eating his catch alone, while ignoring the hungry eye's of the other wolves in the other groups'.

"Well then .. why not speed things up we've got some more practice to do once your all good and stuffed." Adam said with a smile.

"Yeah" Isaac yelled furiously as he ate faster.

....

"One number nine, a number nine large with extra dip"

Later, within a café a young waiter was seen swerving around with two plates of food in his hands. The waiter, even though it was much busier then it usually was, was doing his job impeccable well.

Isaac, who's face was slightly sweaty from the amount of round's he was making to and from the kitchen area of the large café he worked at was currently listening to the voice in his head.

"That one's for table number three and the other is for ten" As stated previously, Adam since his ascension to godhood had extraordinary memory. Helping Isaac in these menial task was more annoying then difficult.

'Ugh..I thought my day's of doing odd job's were done.. but who'd of thought even as a god I'd still be regulated to fast food staff'.

"why couldn't my host be some rich young master" Adam, with a sigh threw out an off hand comment.

Isaac could feel the veins on his forehead tense up in anger "Bastard can't you see how busy it is, instead of speaking bullshit why don't you help me". Isaac in his anger forgot to use spirit speech , and ended up whispering loud enough for the man at the table next to him to give him a funny look.

"Ah... Sorry sir... Sorry Sir" Isaac, could feel his cheeks burning as he left to wait on another table in embarrassment.

"See look at what you did.. You made me look crazy" He reprimanded in his mind.

After several hours of this, it finally came close to the end of shift.

Finally after the last costumer had left.

"Good job out there everybody" The female middle aged manager said as she came out holding packet of envelopes in her hand. She handed one out to everyone except for Isaac and dismissed them.

After the restaurant was empty, except for her and Adam she took out another envelope. " I had originally decided to give you your regular pay but, seeing your hustle out there I thought you deserved some extra with it " She said as she handed his envelope that seemed to be stuffed with something extra in it.

Isaac, couldn't help but be taken aback. He knew he'd get some attention after seemingly improving so much after only working there for a little over three months, but who'd of thought so soon.

"Thank you ma'm. Thank you very much" Isaac said with genuine appreciation, as he started bowing and yelling.

"Calm down.. nest head" The women said as she rubbed Isaacs head profusely.

"You act just like the Japanese youths when they spoke to seniors I remember during my time stationed in Okinawa" The women, Ms. Jeanie said with a boisterous laugh.

" Thanks for the complement miss" Isaac, said as he placed the money inside of his pockets.

"It's not necessarily a compliment kid. Never forget, towards people who treat you nice then this attitude is fine, but towards people who don't deserve it then don't give them an inch ok?" She said with genuine concern.

" I hear ya ma'am thank you for your concern" He said as he was getting ready to leave.

"Oh wait up" she hurried before Isaac left through the door.

"Ah what's up" he said as he noticed Ms. Jeanie heading his way while holding up some crumpled money in her hands.

"Here" she said handing him a twenty.

"Ah, miss you didn't..." Before he could finish she interrupted.

"No need to worry it's not my money.. It's from that bald gentleman who usually sits at table four" She said.

Isaac didn't understand, even if he was doing a good job did he really deserve a twenty dollar tip. As he was thinking about who tipped him, Ms. Jeanie continued to speak.

"He said something strange before leaving too... Saying to give it to the kid with mental problems.. Since you are the only kid working here I assumed he was talking about you."

Isaac, who was thinking about the weird comment of the customer began blushing. 'A bald guy sitting at table 4.. Wasn't he the one that overheard me earlier?"

"Ah, damn you Adam" He cursed in his mind

using spirit speech.

Adam, hearing this couldn't help but be taken aback 'Shouldn't you be thanking me? I got you a big tip'.

"Ah, what a strange costumer he usually never talks.. Except for usual dinner and drinks this is the only other thing I've heard him say" she tilted her head upwards in confusion.

"I thought he was insulting you but he did give you a big tip, so I guess you can't complain" Ms. Jeanie said.

"Yeah werido's are everywhere" Isaac said with a shame filled smile.

"Anyway I have to get going before it get's too late".

...

Isaac who's clothes smelled like coffee and sweat was walking home after a long's days work. Sighing along the way he began to think about life. 'If everyday where to go like today it would be good, but it would still not be enough to meet my needs.

The hunger during training was reason enough to worry, but soon when the houses bills start racking up this will very quickly become a problem.

As Isaac was thinking , He heard coming from a corner the shriek of a frightened girl . Against better judgment he speedily walked towards the corner where he'd heard it and looked to investigate.

As expected he noticed a group of guy's surrounding two girl's. The way they were dressed and acted, it was obvious that the guys were causing trouble.

Adam, noticed that the small amount of meandering bystanders that were still out at this night hurrying away from the situation.

Seeing the faces of the girl's Isaac was surprised. He felt like he'd seen them somewhere. Opposite to him staring at the Girl's Adam immediately realized when and where he'd last seen them. "Weren't these the two girl's who were talking about Isaac during lunch?
