3 Ch 3 Is It A Deal

'once again darkness.... is it because I've already experienced it that I'm not scared?' Adam awoke to a familiar darkness around him. Adam, felt an exhaustion that he was keenly familiar with. He coined the state; Spiritual fatigue.

' It's like I traveled back in time' Not even moving his head around, Adam already knew that wherever he was, was bound to upset him. Rather then envenoming his mood he decided to instead empty his mind and try to focus on nothing, but, within a moment of silence he realized that he could not find the peace he wanted.

Thumping, the sound of a beating heart heard like when both ears where covered thumped, vibrating the empty space around. Adam's, initial reaction was to ignore it, but then he remembered, he had not a functioning heart that could beat so the sound had to becoming from somewhere else inside of the void. Even then, he didn't overreact, instead behaving as if what he was experiencing was simply the most mundane happenings in an ordinary man's life.

Adam mused, the sound vibrated rhythmically. It reminded him of a time when he was alive. As a kid he'd sometimes put water, or earmuffs on to better hear the noises inside of him. Though he'd had no idea why the sound was occurring Adam, felt like the sound didn't forewarn of any coming trouble, rather the vibration calmed the nerves of the once emotional him causing the curious Adam, to slowly enter a meditative state.

" AH!'' It was after an unknown time that Adam was once again awakened, but rather then the pitch black he'd grown used to, he came to find, almost to a fright, that someone was staring at him. Adam observed, after the scare the face looked quite young. Almost certainly a face of a highschool student.

Adam's exclamation seemed to not merit any kind of response from the boy. No, rather it seemed like the boy didn't hear it at all. The boy also seemed to be staring directly at Adam, moving side to side as if wanting Adam to check him out, but Adam, caught the feeling that the boy wasn't truly looking at him (Adam) but rather he himself.

'Strange this type of posturing.. wouldn't it be used only when someone was alone looking themselves in mirror?'

"Yeah.. looking good" Almost as if answering Adams question. A voice of a boy who had probably reached the age of between sixteen or eighteen was heard. He sounded like he was complimenting himself, but he looked sad. Did he think he was ugly? Adam rarely judged men on their appearances but, he thought that the boy, though not outstanding leaned slightly towards the handsome side.

Suddenly an intense feeling of vertigo spun Adam's world. The once self gratifying youth swiftly turned his head and moved to the right, at the same time his view bobbed to the left.

Adams noticed that a door was approaching and with every length covered his world would slightly tilt side to side. Once the movement stopped and Adam was right in front of the door Adam, to his surprise noticed an arm reaching out and grasping the knob

"This.... I'm definitely in somebody's body" Adam couldn't help but exclaim loudly.

"I'm in somebody's body???" Almost like it was responding. No that voice was responding . Adam, stared in shock of what just happened.

"You.. you.. you CAN HEAR ME??" Adam mumbled then screamed excitedly.

"Ah.. WHAT THE FUCK am I going crazy ?" The voice responded back to Adam, almost like it was an opposition to his excitement. The boy seemed to be losing his mind as he began to look around him like a demented dog.

Adam, though was too elated to respond to the boy's denial.

"HAHAHA.. I've finally.. Finally!! found someone" Adam voice quivered slightly, to explain to another how he felt then he would say, it was like walking through a desert, dehydrated and all but ready to give up on life, all but for an ice cream truck to pull up right over the horizon.

It was only after the bliss that Adam stopped his racing mind. "Calm down" he yelled trying to announce himself. The boy seemingly understanding settled down, causing Adam yet another short bout of happiness. 'He really can hear me' he thought.

" First let me introduce myself" Speaking like he was puffing out his chest Adam, began.

"I know what your thinking, No your not crazy and no I'm not a demon" Adam sought to ease the situation, as this boy was the only other living thing he talked to besides himself and he was now the only hope in his situation, he couldn't risk a bad relationship to develop from the get go.

"Then what are you?" came the predictable response. Adam paused for a second and thought about it. 'Trust is founded on the back of trust'. Adam decided to divulge his origins to 'Isaac'.

After the explanation, Isaac who at first freaking out calmed himself.

"So your saying that when you felt this frequency, you just magically transported into my body" Isaac questioned

"Yes at that time, my powers were becoming out of control.. I could barely focus when a feeling pulled me here" Adam who was usually much more analytical could not come up with a more logical explanation. It all seemed weird.

"Could it be related to the emotions you felt at that time'' Isaac said the obvious, but Adam gave it serious thought and responded.

"At that time I felt empty like my soul had hit the depts of an abyss, then I felt another similar feeling resonating with mines.. that could be a connection.. right?" Adam said and remained quiet when he noticed that Isaac wasn't responding.

"Um.. Isaac would you care to explain what you were thinking about yesterday?" Adam asked after a moment of silence.

" My..... mom" as Isaac was explaining Adam, couldn't help but flashback to the him of the past. the one who'd lost everything.

Fortunately for Isaac it seemed like his family, though afflicted with incredible misfortune, having his mother suffer from critical leukemia and not being able to pay for expensive funds, was at least still together for now.

Adam, was quiet as he heard the story. Isaacs family, like Adams, wasn't wealthy. his mother and father both had to work just to barely meet ends meet. It wasn't at the point where he and his sisters had to starve but unlike most kids, the three learned to deal without rather early on.

Isaac, being the oldest sought out to ease his families burden by immediately working after he reached the age of sixteen. For a while with the addition of Isaacs check as well as his mothers and fathers, life became a bit more hopeful. Isaac, could finally spoil his two middle school aged twin sisters. Life was getting sweater

But, when it rains it pours.

It wasn't long till Isaac had finally grown accustom to the happiness that a family that didn't have to suffer from constant financial problems could bring. That he heard the news. His mother was discovered to have cancer and it was severe.

After having gone to the hospital and seeing his unconscious mother, he'd learned from the doctor that the reason why they even discovered her cancer was because she'd collapsed at work. They said that the cancer was so severe that their was no way she hadn't of taken notice a long time beforehand. She didn't want to bother her already suffering family with a bill from the hospital, he presumed.

Isaac for an unknown amount of time stood frozen above his mother, he couldn't process any of the information he'd just heard. That was the worst day of his life and it was also the first day he'd seen his dad cry.

Isaac sat till late by his non- responding mothers side. it was only after being talked into leaving by a nurse did Isaac finally return home with his family. Isaac through the entire day shed not one tear, instead he'd comforted his wailing dad and sad sisters. he'd try to give them hope, even though on the inside he had none.

'When had god ever cared about my family?' even now after slightly stepping out of despair and finally seeing light, god reminded him that, him and his family weren't entitled to any of the happiness that other families had. he had been led like a fish by the light of an angular fish.

Isaac had cursed god that day as he bawled. He'd felt the creeping despair of the abyss swallowing him.

'That must be it' Adam thought.

" Haha, but who'd of guessed that right after i would meet you". Isaac said.

" What do you mean?'' Adam responded.

"You.. aren't you a god?" Isaac reminded Adam. Adam took a minute to understand what he was implying and hurriedly responded lest Isaac started misunderstanding the situation.

"Isaac I know things are hard, but please don't overestimate me.. you'll be incredibly disappointed. Adam said.

" Yea your right.. if everything you say is true then your abilities are extremely limited, but I don't believe there isn't anyway for your abilities to grow. it's too much of a coincidence for me to accept." Isaac sounded more sure of Adam, then Adam had ever felt sure of himself.

"B.. But" Adam began but was interrupted Please Adam even if you try and fail, if at least I'd know I exhausted every opportunity" Isaac pleading cause Adam to stop talking.

"Please Adam, sign a contract with me. If we both help each other, I don't believe no success would come from it." Isaac was sure this was a golden opportunity, some god delivered him because of his pitiful cries.

Adam though about it and came to a conclusion. 'Wasn't this the desirable outcome? with both of them having their own reasons won't this help Adam in his goal of finally bringing life to the other universe?

Speaking of the other universe Adam had no idea if he could even travel back? so why not see what him being in this universe can bring him.

"Okay then I'll sign this Verbal contract with you. just don't hate me if you get your heart broken later"

"DEAL'" Adam and Isaac said.
