2 Ch 2 Sweet Home....

The setting sun reminded Adam of a past that felt so long ago. As if he'd never lived it at all.

His family was not the wealthiest or the most functional, plenty of times he'd find himself thinking about the future in anticipation of what his young heart dreamed could bring. Even so, home was always where he felt the most comfortable, the most accepted.

As he grew up, parted with his sister and parents and tried to embrace his adult life, he quickly learned how void existence could be, without anyone to care for you. he learned to appreciate and yearned to return to a better time.

"But...." Adam said to himself.

Within a moment of daunting silence, Adam felt the emptiness of the world around him.

'It didn't matter though'. Wheter he stays here in this floating wet ball. or he returns to the blue planet. his family had been long gone for years.

Taken from him on the worst day of his life.

His heart had long since setted, only night remained.

But night as he remembered too, also had some beauty. when his parents had read him and his sister stories or when they'd stay late and watch movies, the moon and stars in the sky would shine the brightest then.

Adam reached his hand out and pondered, 'as the god that created this world i should feel ashamed. the night sky here, isn't as beautiful as the sky on earth...'

....

Adam caculated the time he had spent on the first planet, modeled after earth and sighed with a heavy expression.

'What is the right combination' he thought as he continued to telekinetically influence the matter around him.

using Color vision he had tried endlessly to combine elements around in hopes of creating something alive, something that could share in his loneliness.

it had already been years... Adam remembered the happiness he had felt when he'd created his first original solar system, and couldn't help but frown

Under the influence of Max time speed, his universe had moved hundreds of years per second.

His universe was now so big that even if he traveled for years at beyond light speed it would still take him some time in reaching the end.

Now he no longer felt that claustrophobic feeling he'd felt originally when he first awakened. He now felt as insignificant as a flea.

'what was i brought here for? i am neither a powerful god nor a main character, im just an insect in a box'. Adam thought exasperated. his arms dropped at the accumulating matter dispersed. nothing had gone how he'd wanted. There were no one to share his feelings with and worse off he was immortal. 'was i wrong...is this hell?'.

...

Adam sat on an imaginary couch. to his side was a frozen family of four, consisting of two children; girl and a boy, And a mother and father.

The boy whose mid- pithy demeanor and boisterous exclaming face, seemed to amuse the others around him. his face was foggy, nothing but the goofy smile could be deciphered from his face. The others though had fine features and looked like ordinary people.

Adam couldn't remember the punch line of the joke nor did he know how the joke started, but he knew even as a child that it wasn't as funny as the others made it look to be. Still they laughed.

Adam found himself spending a lot of time thinking about his past. Who would blame him though his only source of entertainment was the oblivion space and even here it took a tremendous amount of energy to design fantastical scenes into reality. Memories seemed to take far less energy to create.

Adams, Memories started skipping like a slideshow. each time showing either friends he'd made though out his life or family.

As a god he was blessed, or cursed, with a far superior memory then he used to have. He could, for example, remember a room full of people with only sparsely distorted faces here and there. Still his face was always the blurriest.

he had a simple theory why; since before he could only see other people, while not being able to see himself, his face could only be made out of an imaginary determination of what he thought he'd look like within each scene.

Adam didn't understand why that bothered him, but it did. It was like looking at a picture with everyone you love standing in front of you, and having your face scratched out. It felt lonely, as if he were never there in the first place.

At this point Adam, knew he was spiraling, but he could not stop. He was like a meth head looking for his next fix.

The changing scenes became more distorted as he fell into sadness. once happy memories became a voilent ashen, that was burning away everything.

Adams mood was changing. A violent storm was waging throughout the void universe , and the dimensions around him seemed to be wavering and trembling.

Finally, a scene passed the next one and arrived in Adam's sight. A picture.

The picture showed a family of several, Adam recognized. 'Grandma, Grandpa, cousin, aunt, uncle, MOM, DAD, SIS.. and. and.. ME'. His voices wavered, echoing throughout the empty dimension.

His face didn't look blurry, because rather then the many scenes before that he had to fix, this memory was from a day where he had felt the worse. the day his immediate family died and he was on the brink. That day he had stared at a picture of his cousins wedding, where all of his family was present and standing by his sister and parents side was a goofy looking kid with such a wide grin that it seemed to be filled with all of the worlds ignorance and hope in it.

He truly didn't know what emotion he was feeling now. But within that moment of silence where he could only stare at the picture, he felt it a jolt that seemed to awaken deep inside him. And the 'It'

was calling him back home...
