16 Ch 16 Plan ahead

Adam was in deep contemplation. A forest of massive tree's stood so tall that it left everything under them in elongated shadows, stood ahead. Adam, remembered when he had first introduced plant life into this world, it was in this forest where he had done so.

The land around him that had been teeming with exotic and diverse wildlife back then, now looked more uniform and gentrified. The once competitive ground's where equal chance had been given to all that played in it now had it's victor, one plant had won the genetic lottery and now stood both metaphorically and physically above everything else.

These unbelievably tall trees could only become as such because, not only did they follow the regular energy producing routines of a normal plant, they were also one of the first of many trees that began to feed on mana.

Through thousands of years of subtle changes, these plants had evolved into spectacular organisms akin to those read about in fantasy books.

"This place will be perfect" Adam concluded. The next phase of his plan will be done here.

A cold flicker flashed through his eye's as he used Color vision. He condensed the energy around him opening a portal to his lab.

The lab consisted of many unique creatures inside of Vat's but he stared at a certain particular group of vats closely. Within these vats, floated men and women of different builds.

They all looked unique as all people do but, each of them shared a certain characteristic, Their faces only looked ninety percent human. If one stared at them briefly they probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference between them and regular humans, but if they stared at them closely they would come to see the wild hairs that grew on their forearms, chest and faces. Still, this wouldn't alarm most individuals, simply thinking that they were some unfortunate people afflicted with some strange condition. It wouldn't be until they looked at the lower backside of these people and noticed the long protruding brown tail on all of them, would that person realize that the people they were staring at were in fact not human. At least not completely.

They were a mixture of two species. About eighty percent human, and twenty percent monkey. They were at least three times stronger then the regular person, yet they didn't lose out to regular humans in intelligence.

Adam, had chosen this land to first introduce them to this world. He'd isolated this plot of the continent in a time paradox barrier, in this way this species would be able to quickly catch up with the Atman people in terms of existence.

Adam, didn't plan on repeating the same mistakes he had done with the Atman. Aside, from keeping an isolation barrier in place to keep out the truly destructive creatures that would ruin this tiny species in a day, he didn't add any further protection.

They weren't the only creatures he'd be releasing in these lands today. He had variants of dogs, cats, rats, squirrels and other mammals. At the same time, he didn't place any genetic locks on them, meaning that they'd be able to mutate how ever nature will allow them to. He wouldn't act as protective as he had been with the Atman with the Humans, he'd allowed them life, a bit of inborn knowledge and nothing else.

Adam, steeled his resolve. This was a test, a test to see under which management a humanoid species would survive from having been under.

He selected a wide cave and placed all of his newly born but fully matured humans in it. All of them were still asleep, luckily the area he had placed them in didn't have wild winters, it only ever got a bit chilly.

As Adam was preparing his departure he selected one of the strongest mature humans and transferred him some intelligence. Including knowledge such as, fire, clothe weaving, and house making. This would be the only time within these soon to be hundred years were he'd grant them anything.

With everything in placed and in order, Adam disappeared and reappeared on the edge of the tallest cliff within this territory. It allowed him a free and wide view of the world around him. He looked around and with his eagle eyes, and sighed. A slightly sorrowful expression flashed in his eye's. Life is suffering, and only with this suffering will you become a whole existence. 'Please, as your father I hope this suffering on you all is not too much to bear.'

POV [Mikail] The First Chieftain (First person).....

I remember. The first sense I'd ever felt, was the tickling brush of a chilly draft touching my nose. At that time I hadn't even noticed that I had come to exist. It wasn't until I felt the dryness of my mouth impede the saliva from entering my throat, did I drowsily awoke from the dream that I didn't know I was having.

Lucky finding water wasn't a difficult pursuit. I merely followed, trying not to stumble over the other's that I'd later come to recognize as my tribesmen, the dripping noises of water falling from the ceiling.

After walking a fair distance deeper into the winding cave, I came across a pool of water that was illuminated blue from atop, by a large hole in the roof. The hole was large enough to allow several people to fit through it. A large crisp orange moon floated still in the middle, making the scene look like and eyeball was staring at me.

The sight had taken my breath away, as it was the first time I had seen the moon.

It wasn't long till I came to, from the sight. The wind had brushed into my agape mouth and reminded me of my parched tongue.

I stuck my entire head inside of the pool of water, and for several seconds kept gulping. My entire body felt the comforting cool of the delicious water.

POV [Mikail] (Third person).....

'The others see me differently. ' The disheveled Mikail thought, as sweat fell from the top of his head. He slung off the bow he had woven from tree branches and vines from over his shoulder. Placing the shabbily made weapon besides his other stashing within the encampment.

Grapping a rag made from the soft pelt of little game he had killed a few day's ago, he wiped away the fur and blood that painted his hands and his tools.

'I am different' It was a blatantly obvious conclusion. Whereas, most of the other's where content with surviving with the bear minimum, Mikail, ever since waking up had sought out more. To the others he must have looked odd, as he from the beginning started using 'useless' trash to make things.

The first thing he had made was pants, because unlike the other's he was not comftorable with his genitals being seen. Then, within a few day's of getting tired of only eating berries and fruit, he used a sharp rock to edge off a tip of a stick which he then used as a spear to go hunting

He still remembered the ooh's and aah's of the curious camp when they had seen him return with the little creatures he'd caught. Unlike, him who had been born with the instinctual knowledge to speak and formulate sentences, these people couldn't comprehend any of it. They spoke in grunts and aggresion.

Mikail, knew instinctively that he could not eat wild meat. It had first needed to be prepared. The knowledge in his mind had told him to gather dry branches and pile them together, so he did.

He gathered a sizeable pile of branches, dried grass, and rocks to make a circle. Then he rested on his knees, and leaned above the heap.

'Fire... i need fire' He had thought. Yet, he had never seen fire, never been near it's scorching touch. He tried to start one, but after many minutes he had failed.

Even, his inborn knowledge told him of the difficulties of starting fire without the appropriate tools.

After trying everything and still failing, his eyes teared up as he looked at the pile of meat in front of him. His brain told him that it would be a delicious meal, one that he would absolutely love, but yet the fire just wouldn't start.

Finally, after a bout of sadness and thinking he leaned back and sat down. The wisdom thoughts inside of him had warned him of the risks of being overly emotional.

As he sat down and calmed himself he remembered, within the jumbled up fragmented thoughts and memories he had inside of his mind, there was one that allowed the learning of special abilities.

The first step was to sit up straight in a crossed lev position and breath.

The Technique required him to empty his mind, sit down, and concentrate on the energy around him. He did this, but for several minutes nothing happened.

The other monkey people had all but stopped paying him attention. They thought that the silly man was just acting stupid.

Mikail, too had began to feel like what he was doing hadn't any meaning, but he chose to preserver and continue. His wisdom mind had never let him down before so he chose to believe in it.

Soon he began to lose himself to sleep. Within his drowsy head, he began to see a strange scene play out.
