1 Ch 1 Adrift in space

Adam stared at what he'd molded-in quiet contemplation. A roughly spherical pebble, though to the average person this 'pebble' could not be described as such.

This 'pebble' was roughly the size of a star, but to Adam whose being extended past the size of a solar system, this star could find solace in even having been described as a flee let alone a pebble.

Adam, whose humongous body barely fit the 'tiny' compartment that he was squeezed in, was laying in an awkward position he was constantly pushing his being outwards to gain more space. thankfully the dimension around him seemed obliging, constantly expanding at a speed faster than light.

His overbearing eye was watching as he smoothed over the small rock he had in hand.

bumps the size of continents were kneaded flat an in instant. Cracks that span hundreds of miles were mended together, with no evidence of ever having been separated.

having decided it was smooth enough, Adam drew the pebble close to his mouth.

With a simple sigh, aimed towards the pebble that threw matter around faster than the speed of light. The ball ignited turning into a ball of scorching flames.

'That's probably enough right?' Adam saw how the ball already took the characteristics of suns like in his previous dimension. it was already drawing a crowd of moon-sized comets around it in a ring.

Adam took note of the fact that his body was not causing any gravitational storms, and was not drawing anything in. He could at his will appear in and out of this sandbox universe. And if he chose to, could manipulate the universal law so that it affected him.

At this moment his body was in an incomprehensible state. it was intangible as well as tangible. any objects that would fly towards his body, would be met with no obstruction and would be able to pass on through without even a drop of speed. At the same time with but a thought, he could rip or slap anything into space dust in an instant.

Adam wasn't a super genius. he'd always put in his due diligence at school and he remembered what would allow him to get decent grades in class and okay scores on tests.

aside from knowing that the sun from his previous solar system was made up of hydrogen, gas, and plasma, he didn't know anything further, like how large it was, or its mass. he just knew that it was hot, and hot was what life needed.

Adam pondered on further plans. Despite becoming what could only be described as a 'God' he really didn't know the extent of his abilities.

He'd just woken up. after thinking he was dead in a place where he thought would be hell, only to not be greeted with the burning and agony, that the devils described on earth would torment him with. instead, darkness.. crushing oblivion welcomed him whole.

After a few moments of surprise and dread, Adam drew up his composure and began to analyze. 'Maybe I didn't die.. maybe I'm in a dark room'. he began to kick and move his arms only to be met with firm unmoving obstruction.

' Where the hell am i' he panicked once again moving more desperately ' Did somebody bury me alive?'. this continued for a long time until he grew weaker and finally fell asleep.

It was in his dreams he realized, through the darkness, he could see another him in a transparent, but still visible bubble that kept expanding.

In his confusion, he didn't notice that the once dark place he was in was replaced with another dimension, one of bleak oblivion white.

He tried to reach out and grab himself, but he felt nothing, like the him right in front didn't exist.

'What even is this bullshit' his once despairing thoughts had led to some anger. 'Where the hell am I?' he noticed that the once dark room he was in was replaced with nothing but a shocking expansive space of white.

After looking around and still finding nothing, he looked back at the 'him' inside the bubble.

' Hey! he mumbled... 'HEY' he Screamed after seeing nothing happening he once again began spiraling. 'Wake the hell up!'

Something inside that bubble seemed to have heard him, as the bubble itself started spasming. Like it was breathing, the walls of the bubble were constantly expanding and retracting. it only took a few rounds of this breathing before Adam, saw within the center of the bubble a blinding light was growing, reaching towards the middle and eventually the end of the bubble.

after rounds of silence, Adam saw that the once pitch black bubble began to exude glowing colors that ranged from common to ones that he never knew even existed.

'this' he stared in wonderment. 'is beautiful'.

***********

After maybe a few hours of experimenting, Adam began to understand the properties of both the bubble universe and the white dimension he named the oblivion plane.

in the Oblivion plane, he had far more range of controls, he could in an instant think up castles, oceans, and any other thing he wished. But somehow Adam knew that none of the things he saw actually 'existed'. or 'existed' in a form that he could comprehend.

He learned this because after his excitement in learning he could conjure up things in the Oblivion plane. the creation he had made simply disappeared out of existence after a lapse of attention from him.

This vastly underwhelmed him, almost causing him another bout of sadness. It was after some time spent in the Bubble dimension that he realized, that though the creations he'd made in the oblivion plane were fake, the same cannot be said for the Bubble dimension.

he stared at the golden orb that reflected a blinding light intently. He wasn't human any longer so he could look directly at it and see the momentary as well as the most minute of happenings within his creations.

the ball calmed and raged according to its own will. it needed none of the constant management that the creations within the Oblivion plane needed.

Adam was happy and worried at the same time. Though he came to understand that he had great influence on the bubble dimension, he also learned that his will alone wasn't the end or the beginning within this universe. In order to influence creation here, much like his human ancestors of a previous life, he'd have to experiment and work around universal laws, to get what he wants.

he couldn't magically create phenomena such as black holes, white holes, or star clusters. those were created by the bubble universe itself.

Though his abilities were quite limited in this regard. He discovered, quite early on that he could control the Time at which the bubble moved to fast forward to see these natural phenomena's being formed.

Though, Adam knew he couldn't create anything of humongous natural properties he thought for certain that he'd be able to make small un-universe altering creations such as water and life. Adam however quickly learned that what he intended to do was far more difficult than he'd originally thought.

'Rule number one Adam thought. 'Matter can only be utilized, not created'. That was the most rigid of universal rules, for Adam. He learned that if he wanted to create things such as water he'd have to concentrate and use an ability that allowed him to see every color in the universe, this would allow him to telekinetically take control of similar matter and bind them together in order to create what he wanted.

This ability was how he created, what he thought was water. He called it Color vision.

'Rule number two' he continued ' desired outcomes will only be met by the creation of the right environment.

An example of this rule, so simple that even a child would know is if you wanted to make say a pool of water you would know not to place it near something too hot otherwise it will evaporate.

This example is probably not the most eloquent but, it was to some extent exactly what Adam had to think about now.

as he placed the even smaller pebble, covered in water, roughly the size of what he imagined earth to be. near the sun he'd created. The ball kept either instantly evaporating or instantly freezing.

He mused around for a certain time. took an hour or two in discovering the perfect place and began the next phase of his plan.
