The Base Where I Live

After all the tests were completed. Eric explained all the things about the capsule and the organ he has inside martin. It took two weeks to do all that and the healing from the implantation of new organ will continue while he is inside the capsule.

Martin was not naïve enough to think he was going to be fine he asked Eric to only put the most necessary things in capsule.

Hearing this Eric said "do you take me for an idiot? Obviously I will only put medical products, protein injections and a phone which will be enough. I think do you want anything else in there although there is no more SPACE in it" said Eric sarcastically.

"'protein injection' what is that? And why there is no food in here don't you think I will need something to eat?" asked martin and Eric made a confused expression and thought 'wasn't he informed about these things in his class by the caretakers'.

"Why do you ask? Your caretakers should have told you about it didn't they tell you about the way we live in this base where our food come from and all that?" asked Eric and martin said "no" while shaking his head.

Eric sighed and said "honestly what were they doing, their job was to teach you these things and take care of you haah, anyway I'll explain it to you listen carefully" and martin nodded.

Eric then continued "in this base there are five Floor - protection, storage, living area, special care and lab.

This bases entrance is is from the ground Floor and is build Floor by Floor in the underground area every Floor is built with distance of 4ft to 5ft between them.

Protection area at ground Floor have the soldiers on duty to keep us safe from any invaders. The size of every Floor not including ground Floor is 55000sqare to 58000sqare ground Floor is about 8000 to 10000 square and there are only 25 to 30 soldiers on the duty per shift.

Storage that place is half filled with protein shots and half with normal daily need products, protein shots are a weaker version of protein injection and protein shots have some 1% to 5% radiation mixed in them.

They were created using vegetable and fruits from the farms which have low level radiation and it’s only one hour away by car, all people in this base use protein shot.

Only you are the one who eats vegetable and fruits the living area keeps 250 people in it.

Which includes 60 soldiers and 190 workers their tasks are cleaning, making food, purifying water from harmful chemicals.

Specially from nuclear chemicals to drink, maintaining the order, taking care of machine problems, keeping contact with other bases, surveillance and many more" Eric took deep breath and continued.

"Special care is place where you live they taught you there although I don't think they are doing a good job. Since you don't know about protein shots your food.

Your daily needs are stored in special care and you are given injections there which protect you from any and all diseases.

There is one android there with A.I. to know your health condition and give you all the necessary things to eat and takes the semen from you to create more humans who are not infected.

There are more female participants than male since women mostly don't like fighting and they hides rather than fight. They chose to be part of experiment to live better lives.

In my opinion they did the right thing since it’s very hard to survive in the world as it is.

men who mostly refused to be a sample for government in the early times of war were the ones who got infected and when they came back to be experiments they were refused.

There are only two male experiment and 7 female participants left because of the possibility of them being put in capsules.

On the last Floor is our lab it is separated in 3 parts one is for water cleaning second for surveillance and communications with other bases.

You should go there when you wake up next time. I’ll make sure to leave a few video disks in there frozen so that you will be able to see the video using your phone even after 10000 thousand years ha-ha" Eric said and got a dead fish eye look from martin which says 'are you cursing me to stay 10000 years in that capsule'.

Eric coughed awkwardly and continued "cough anyway this protein injection will give you nutrition and protein.

so you will be full and won't be hunger for 30hrs and only need one shot every 37 hours so if you take a shot tonight then you don't need to take a shot until the day after tomorrow in morning.

You may not be able to remember any of this after you wake up and your memory may take few days to weeks for it to come back.

I have put an injection in the capsule so when you try to sit after you wake up your hand will be locked with iron bracelet and a mechanism will activate which will automatically inject you with a brain stimulating injection.

It will give your brain a jump start which will send you in coma for a few hours and you will remember everything when you again wake up.

Now I'll tell you where the time capsule will be when you are in hibernation it will stay underground.

I have created a sealed room near this lab where no one can enter only someone can exit from that room when the capsule is open" Eric was finally done with all the explanation. He was ready to send martin in the time capsule.

After that Eric pressed few buttons in the panel which was on the wall. The Floor opened showing a passage which goes down and goes straight from below the wall then they could not see anything anymore.

So Eric sighed and explained "the capsule will go down then towards a room which is 30meters in that direction of wall. After that there is no way anyone could enter through this passage.

Because I'll fill it with rocks which are stored between the passage in an empty space. Don’t worry about this place collapsing it was all arranged by my most trusted friend and engineer. So there is no chance of even a brick moving from its place.

I have also thought about the exit it will be in the upward direction there will be stairs which will appear automatically when you wake up. That whole room is protected by a very strong and durable metal called metal x1.

you will be safe in there and the room also contains all the products you need like suit, nuclear batteries they are contained in a big container you will find on the ground in white color now ley down in time capsule" after that martin lays down in the capsule.

There was a track which connects the Floor with the capsule and goes towards the other end of the passage in which martin will stay.

Eric pressed buttons in the panel and the tubes in capsule are filling it with something then martin goes to hibernation and after 30 minutes the tubes fell down.

Eric pressed last button then capsule starts to go towards the underground passage then disappears.

After capsule disappeared Eric said "now I'm finally done but this will be a really interesting thing he-he I should finish my capsule as well so that I can also see his growth with my own eyes who knows what will happen after he wakes up". And he starts to think.

But not for long he then snaps out of it when he hears his phone ring "hello".

On the other line he hears "Eric I need help the design of the time capsule you send we have made it exactly how you want but there are some complications.

I need your help with this can you see on video call what is the problem with this" it was the other capsule he designed.

There were only 3 capsules in the world right now first for martin the second for himself.

Third for a women in America who is also 80 years old he can't go there, so there are complications he has to solve form here.

That's why he didn't help other bases to create any more capsules right now since he can't go there and risk his life for this his life is more precious.

"ok I will do that" he hangs the phone call and does a video call "so what do you need me to help you with tom" he says and thinks 'hmm I think I'm forgetting something' on the video call tom starts to speak "so I created it exactly how you want but the thing..." he continues to explain and Eric thought 'well I'll think about it later I have more important things to do'.

Eric then said "ah sorry the voice was low so I couldn't hear it please repeat what you were saying".
