2 So Tasty!

I quickly took my hands off the lizard and backed away for a moment. I looked at my hands and arms, they had big burn spots and blood was slowly leaking from the open and slightly burning wounds.

'Damn, this lizard is nothing to play with! I should've just looked for a slime instead. Oh, well, I can't just forget about this thing now that I've injured it...' I gritted my teeth as the sizzling pain lingered for an entire minute.

By the time it finished, the lizard was throwing a piercing and deadly gaze at me. I clenched the sharp and bloody rock with all my strength and rushed towards the lizard.

GRRRR!

It let out a mighty growl that made me hesitate for a moment before I attacked it.

'A stun move too?' I was all too familiar with the skill of this lizard even though I never fought it before. It was some type of stun move, though it wasn't too helpful considering it only stopped me for a second.

I used all my strength and struck the lizard in the same injured spot on its back, making blood gush out like a river.

While stabbing the lizard I could see an extremely fragile, new layer of scales that were pink. It seemed like the lizard was trying to heal itself but it didn't have enough time.

'This lizard's vitality is amazing! If I waited a few minutes then I bet its scales would have been almost fully regenerated!'

While thinking in awe, I grabbed the tail of the lizard and stepped on it, restricting its movements. The lizard tried to struggle but I kept attacking its back which was horrible now.

'How is this thing still alive? I'm sure most of its blood has leaked out by now.' I thought to myself before the lizard finally stopped moving. I stabbed it a few more times just to make sure it was dead.

You know, double tap. Never turn your back on your opponent or think they're dead because they stopped moving.

Rookie moves!

I finally got the system message saying that I killed the lizard.

After reading the system messages, I sighed before sitting on the ground next to the lizard. Based on my hunter experience back in my previous life, I decided to take the scales off the lizard. It was pretty clear that this lizard's scales were valuable.

'Even if the other goblins are too stupid to know how to use them, I can try and make a weapon from them myself. Though, I'd like if I had a comrade to help me in this world. Sigh...'

I then grabbed the body of the lizard despite it being bloody and grotesque looking. I grabbed some small twigs, placed them together, and then rubbed one of the scales against a twig.

And I lit a fire.

'Hahaha, my genius is terrifying!' I said as mischievous grin appeared on my face. It felt good to achieve something on my own in this new world!

I then placed some scales on the bottom of the lizard's body after taking the bones out. I made a small space in-between the twigs and places the lizard body that sitting atop the 'scale plate' in the fire.

Since the fire lizard was naturally of the fire element, its scales weren't damaged at all so I was rather happy.

'Good lord, if I were to cook this back in previous world then I would charge at least 50 dollars!' The sweet aroma of the cooked fire lizard entered my nose, filling my entire body with a soothing warmth.

It even made my stomach grumble. I was drooling without knowing too.

'Yep, this would definitely be on par with an expensive stake back in my world!' I appreciated whoever reincarnated me into this world before grabbing the 'scale plate'.

It wasn't held together by anything either so it was kind of hard to pick it up. Without anymore waiting, I tore into the fire lizard.

The moment a piece of it entered my body, a sweet and savory juice from within the meat filled my mouth. It wasn't too bland or flavory and was rather spicy.

I think I can thank its fire powers for that!

"So good, I'm gonna cry!" Small drops of tears appeared in the corner of my eyes as I filled my mouth with the fire lizard's juicy meat.

I couldn't help but look around in case anyone was sneaking up on me and trying to take my food.

'I'll fight any one of the monsters in this forest for this meat!' As I was about to finish eating the fire lizard, I noticed a goblin girl approaching me. She had small fangs protruding from the bottom of her mouth that made her look like a cute ogre.

She also had short black hair that seemed to fit perfectly with her body.

'This little goblin girl looks so cute! Who would've thought that goblins looked like this!' The little goblin girl nervously approached me without speaking. I instantly noticed that she was eyeing the fire lizard meat.

I already devoured half of the fire lizard but I was still reluctant to give it to anybody. As the goblin girl finally approached me, she looked at me suddenly with a nervous expression before pointing at the fire lizard.

She then rubbed her stomach before speaking.

"Brother, can I have some of that food? I'm hungry and I haven't ate in 3 days. And the hunters within the tribe have all died yesterday..." She had a sad expression on her face as she spoke that made me feel bad for her.

'Three days? How is this girl even still speaking and standing?! I couldn't even hold off for two days in previous life! Earth really has spoiled us, we've all been domesticated!' I thought as I looked intently at the little goblin girl.

I ruffled the little goblin girl's hair for a moment before smiling and giving her a big chunk of the rest of the fire lizard meat.

Her whole face brightened as she saw me giving her the fire lizard meat and accepted it thankfully before sitting down to eat it. She didn't wait at all and wolfed down the fire lizard meat with a happy face.

After about a little more than 5 minutes, she finished the lizard meat and then stared at me with expecting and hungry eyes.

"What?"
