Silence meets my eyes when I opened them, I squinted my eyes against the light shining through the windows. Then I noticed the sleeping man slumped on the table with a laptop on his side. He has a flawless skin, beautifully manicured hands, sharp features and so handsome. But why does it seem that this man seems familiar? Why does it feel like I want to touch him?
As I observed the sleeping man slumped on the table, my hands became itchy, wanting to touch him while my heart beats insanely faster. My mind turns suddenly blank, why does my heart race when i see his slumped body like i want to caress his hair and hug him? I don't even know him, random thoughts going through my mind...
As if the man sensed someone looking at him, he turned sideways and looked at me and said, "You're awake! How are you feeling? Do you want to eat now?"
"Yes please and i am fine, thank you for your help,.sorry for the inconvenience", as i stutter talking to him.
Heavy lidded eyes turned aloof and called his assistant to buy congee and botled water for her. Silence grew inside the room and the man seems to be in deep thought and contemplating something but afterwards sighs and took deep breaths to calm himself.
She again told him, "thank you", and the man seriously turned to look at her and peruse her face and her expressions unblinkingly.
Do you really not recognize me at all Rose?, the man asked.
I gasped and I asked, "You knew me? Rose is my real name?
"No, I.don't know your real name. We met in a masquerade ball party the other night. You told me your party name is Rose. We unmasked ourselves when we went out to the veranda. But you ran away after that, i chased after you but you were gone in a flash. The next time i saw you, I hit you with my car when you suddenly crossed the street. Why did you leave the party at such a rush?", the man said.
" I...I don't know. I can't recall anything. I found myself in that dark alley, my clothes dirty and the next thing I knew, I am in the hospital with you", said Rose.
"You were still wearing the same clothes when I accidentally hit you Rose", said Matthews.
"Huh? Really? I was so shocked to hear that. My mind tried to process that information, I started to have a headache, wondering why and who I am and what happened to me.
