31 Adam Jaeger!

Traveling on the official road again, this time, more people were riding together.

While the brother and sister were riding together, Kyle's slaves were following closely behind them. At the forefront, Ivan led the whole group since he knew the route to the Wild Wolf village.

Thea had explained to them about her plan, which had nothing to do with fighting the city guards. She planned to bribe the guards. Ivan asked her if that would work. Would the city guards take the bribe and leave the wild wolf Village alone after that?

Thea answered by saying that she had persuading power and that she will solve the problem.

Ivan could only believe in her. Now they needed to catch up to the City guards first.

"Miss Thea, can you tell me why you are so confident in persuading the City guards?" Kyle asked because he couldn't understand what card she had to solve the problem with Paison's shop and the City guards.

Seeing that Ivan had gone ahead, Thea said while riding her horse along with Kyle's and Naina, "Do you know the surname of that person?"

"His name is Ivan Jaeger."

Adam Jaeger's parents have civilian status, but the Jaeger family who has the status of knights gave him the admission token to study inside the Ribeiro Academy as he came from their branch family. After all, admission token to Ribeiro Academy is scarce, and each noble and aristocrat is only given a few according to their status. Knights family can only have one token for each generation use. "This Adam. . . Is he that famous?" Naina couldn't help but ask. She had heard everything that they were talking about. Actually, she started to dislike Adam when she heard how Ivan had lost two years.

"Big sister, Adam Jaeger, is the rising star of White Tiger City and the Ribeiro Academy. It is rumored that the duke will knight him after he graduates from the academy as he is the top scorer every year. The military merits he gained by completing many difficult tasks issued by the city and the academy are enough for him to be knighted." Kyle wanted to talk more about the deeds of Adam, who was also his peer as they were in the same class, but a howl of a wolf made him stop talking.

Fenrir came to a stop and looked to his left into the Wild wolf forest.

"What is it, Fenrir?" Ivan asked.

"Awoo, woo!"

"Call by the pack leader. Your pack?" Ivan asked again, but this time, Fenrir did not answer; instead, it rushed into the forest towards the wolves' sound that was continually howling.

Thea, Kyle, and the rest of the three men followed behind him and the wolf into the forest.

Captain Eliot and his team followed the two thieves into the wild wolf forest two hours ago. They were made to run in a circle by the two cunning thieves for quite some time.

Eva's father knew about this region of the forest like the back of his hand, but he still couldn't shake these pursuers off. They seemed determined to catch them no matter what length they might be made to go. Seeing that nothing was working, Eva's father finally led the city guards deeper into the wild wolf forest.

That is where they encountered a small pack of wolves. Eva's father stuffed the two healing potions he had stolen from Paison's shop into his comrade and fellow villager's clothes before he told him to hide while he leads the wolves away.

Eva's father had quite an experience in dealing with the wild wolves. Therefore, he was able to gain the attention of the carnivorous animals and lead them in the direction of the City guards who were still pursuing their tracks.

Eliot was excited when he found the thief coming in his direction, but he never expected that the thief would bring him a headache.

"You son of a bitch!" Eliot openly cursed before ordering his men to get ready for battle.
