2 Chapter 2

While resting and enjoying her new found discovery, which was she named "Durange". Red found something odd about the place. After walking for several hours after she woken-up, she haven't saw any animals yet. The birds and other insects like spider that is supposed to be dangling everywhere and tweeting are surprisingly didn't exist. There are also no new sprouted plant despite the fact that the area was surrounded by giants trees. Ferns and other small plants which was you can found regularly clinging in every trees was also nowhere to be found. The place was literally empty, well except for the giant trees and the the ground which was covered by dry leaves.

The more she thought about it, the more the place become airy and creepy as well. Her hair on the back of her head started to stand and she also felts that there is someone looking at her from the darkness of the forest.

Thinking of these, she remembered some of the horror movies she just watched. It is basically like this; there was a lady who was awaken inside the forest. Then, there were paranormal entity that lurking around. Waiting for the right time to lure her into their trap and posses them. That was so creepy. Red cannot help but shivered buy just remembering what happened.

She look up, the sun was nearing to the horizon. This only means that the night will come in a few hours.

She gathered up herself, looked around and was shock because she forgotten where to go and where she came from. She was intended to go in a straight path but she lost her way.

She looked around trying to fix what had gone wrong, however how many times Red tried to figure it out. There were still nothing!

"What is happening here?" Red's heart started to pound violently like it was raging bull that wants to get out from the ranch.

"Breath"

"Breath" She said to herself to calm down, but no matter what, her emotions didn't listen to her.

The horror movie she watch started to materialized on her head. She tried to push it back away but it was too strong. The more she didn't want to think about it, the more she thought of it.

The wind started to blow the leaves of the trees creating a "Rustle...." sound coupled with increasing weight of the atmosphere. Also, the surroundings temperature started to decrease resulting for her to shiver slightly.

By the passing of time, she started to hear laughter while at the same time there was crying on the background. She looked around to find where it was coming from. But because of the vastness of these woods and the giant trees that block her view, she cannot find anyone. Until then, she noticed something in the big tree not far from here. It looks hideous, rotten trunk and barks, and there are less leaves on its branches.

She looked at it intently because there was something of; something she cannot explained to herself. She wants to approach it but she remembered that most of the horror movie started like this, so she distanced herself. She step back, following by the other step, and then again, and again without leaving her gaze to that creepy tree.

Continuing to back away, her heart jump into her lungs when her back hit something. She looked around only to see the Durange tree. She take a heaved  of relief, but before she could recover. She saw a face on the tree trunk! Red froze on the spot, she don't know what to do, she tried to run but her limbs didn't listen to her. She tried to scream but no voice came out. Red pushed herself to do some, taking her sight from that face. Its eyes was red and gleaming with excitement while it slowly smiled sinisterly. Until, a small voice suddenly came out from her mouth, after that she regain control to her body.

She immediately ran away, cold sweat was constantly dripping from her face  and she felts that her back was all wet as well.

The lingering thought that there was someone looking at her never leave and instead intensified. Red used all her might to run, she never looked back. She was afraid that if she do that, she might saw that face.

She don't know how long she had ran. She looked above, the sun was  nowhere to be found only the the crimson skies. Her surrounding also turned dark and the mist started to appear.

Step by steps, her feet was getting heavier, but she didn't try to stop. Finally, the guts to looked back  visited her. She paused from running and slowly turned around to look. The Durange tree was now nowhere to be found. Maybe she was already to far.

She bend slightly, catching her breath until it was steadied. She straightened her back trying to figure out what to do next. She looked around finding where she was currently at but then, she paused on the certain part of the woods. Red saw a silhouette of a man standing tall. Her heart jump because of joy. Finally! There was someone that might can help her.

"Hello! can you help me? I think I was lost." She moved closer. The silhouette barely move an inch. Red cannot see the whole figure because of the thick fog surrounding them. Until she reached the certain distance where she can see the full stature of the silhouette. There was a little bit odd with him. His arms was longer that regular and he looks like he was a basketball player. He was very tall!

"I'm Red, can you help me! I think I'm loss!" Red introduced with a shaking tone.

The more she got closer, the more she felt that there was something wrong with him. Her instinct were also protesting to her action. Telling  her to run, that person was dangerous! Her curiosity and frustration to get help overpowered and still continued.

The silhouette never move, it stand still. Never showing interest on replying her.

"Okay! I'm leaving!" Finally, she decided not to pursue because when she got closer, she felt something evil. And besides, that person act so creepy. If he really wants to help her, he should do something. But until now, he shows no interest. Slowly she move backward. Without leaving him on her sight.

"crack!!" Red stepped on something, she turned around to look what it is but what she found was face the of someone looking at her intently with a sinister smile. It was the same face she saw on the Durange tree! She step  back but her feet step on side of the slope which she didn't noticed earlier because of the thick fog resulting for her to out balance and fell.

Her body was rolling, tumbling down, and hitting the  ground so hard. She tried to stop herself however the slope was inclineded to much resulting for her fail. So she just let herself to roll.

Until her head hit something hard and her body came to a stop. Her body was totally in pain, her feet felt numb and her head, there was searing pain. She tried to used her hand to reached it out but it felts she was lifting a ton of stone.

Her body started to get weak until she cannot felt it.

"I will miss my first blog" she whispered. Memories of her life came back, flooding her mind with different sights. From her childhood until her parent died. And then those memories started to rotate faster and faster until she cannot comprehend what she was looking. It turns into a kaleidoscope, Red felt dizzy and everything turned dark.
