But for some reason, the image of the Elves dancing beautifully and then running away with horror from them couldn't be removed from her thoughts for a long time.

Once they reached their place, they got down and started walking towards their place.

On their route, all the other Witches of their village had their eyes all over Tanzi.

There was admiration.

There was envy.

There was greed.

There was anger.

There was hate.

Some were looking up to her while some were looking down on her. There were all types of gazes on her and Tanzi was long used to them as she calmly strode through them without giving any of them another glance as she walked towards her place.

Behind her, she could still hear the murmurs of everyone though.

"I heard that she just came back after defeating the White Beast."

"Is it real though? I heard that no one could even enter the cave of the White Beast successfully. And once entered no one had ever come out alive."

"Yes, I too heard that. No one had seen the White Beast and stayed alive. So, no one knows how the White Beast even looks like."

"But I am sure of the news that I received. I really heard that she just came back after defeating the White Beast."

"Can we believe it? I really don't know."

"Hmph, you all are just jealous of Tanzi. That is why you couldn't trust the news. Who doesn't know how strong Tanzii is? If she couldn't defeat the White Beast, then are you saying that you all can defeat it? Dream on."

"Are you a lackey to that Tanzi? Why do you always support her? It looks like you would believe if someone were to say that Tanzi could unite the two clans of Witches and Elves one day too. Just who do you think she is? She is just a normal Witch like all of us. She is nothing special."

"She is nothing special? Are you sure? Then why is she called the Greatest of all the Witches?"

"Hmph, just because she called herself as greatest of all, would she really be the greatest? She is just a self centred and attention seeking Bitch whose feet you all be ready to lick. Just because she calls herself the Best, don't think that I would accept the title."

"Who do you think you are that your opinion even matters in this? And not just you but everyone here knows that the title was never given to herself by Tanzi. Instead it was the others that saw all her achievements gave her the title. Stop being jealous and accept the fact that clearly was in front of your eyes."

The one who heard these words knew in her heart that what she said were actually the truth but yet she was too prideful to accept it.

She thus just hmphed and turned around to leave.

While this group of people were talking bad behind Tanzi, there is another group of girls that actively and happily approached Tanzi with a bright smile and shining eyes, "Tanzi~"

Tanzi stopped on her tracks when she heard a voice calling her with excitement and looked at the ones who were approaching her.

She smiled at them as she said, "You all are here? How are you?"

"We are good, Tanzi. We heard that you just defeated the White Beast. Is that really true?"

Tanzi was surprised to know that the news had already reached this place before she herself reached. Just how fast could a piece of news travel in this world?

She thus asked with a look of surprise, "How do you know?"

The girl giggled and spoke, "We know about this for so long already. We were waiting for you so that we could welcome you with a party. But some people said that it is just a piece of rumor and not really happened. So we wanted to confirm with you once before starting the preparations for the party."

When she heard the mention of a party, Tanzi instantly decided to deny the fact that she had really defeated the White Beast.

She was just about to shake her head when she heard the girl continue speaking, "We can see that you are going to deny. But stop it now. From your words earlier, we already understood that it was the truth. So just go and relax for a while before attending the party in a few hours."

Tanzi just opened her mouth to speak again but before she could do so, the girl once again spoke, "No. No excuses at all. You are the main highlight of today's party. So you have to be present and none of your excuses would be accepted. Okay?"
