1 The Cave of the White Beast

Two pairs of feet stepped in front of a cave that was deeply hidden in the center of a lush green forest.

Though the cave was hidden deep within, it was still greatly feared by every living being.

It was so much feared that within the radius of approximately five miles around the cave, not a single life could be found.

There is not a bird flying nor a squirrel jumping around. There is neither a snake sleeping under a log nor any insects trying to get some sap off the barks of tree trunks.

No matter how one looked at the entrance of the cave, it looked eerie to the core.

Yet, today two women reached the cave and stood in front of the entrance while trying to take a glimpse inside.

The absence of any living creature around ceased any presence of sounds except for the wind that occasionally blows here. This silence made the dark cave even more scary than it already was.

The woman standing behind held the shoulder of the first woman while shivering, "Tanzi, should we really go inside? This place looks scarier than what I had expected. Let us leave before something unexpected happens to our beautiful corpses."

Tansilia, whom the closed ones address as Tanzi, was dumbfounded by her friend's words. She still doesn't understand how she became her friend.

The friend of hers is weird by not only being narcissistic enough by calling herself along with her friend as beautiful even when she was facing danger but she is also such a scaredy cat enough to call them as corpses when they were still very clearly alive.

Tanzi shook her head and raised her hand to pinch her friend's nose, "Violet, look at yourself. You are not yet dead. Stop calling us corpses."

Violet swatted Tanzi's hand away from her face and pouted while muttering, "Well, it is only a matter of time anyway."

In her mind, they would be dead at any next minute and thus already started considering them as corpses. So what if she is just a few minutes forward?

Though her reaction looked like an exaggeration, it was the common impression that everyone in the world holds when it comes to this specific cave.

The cave is widely called 'the Cave of the White Beast'. The name itself says that this cave is the home to a white beast which scared everyone away from the place.

That White Beast is the reason why there is not a single living being anywhere in the surroundings.

It is known that any living being that neared the cave never returned alive till date. No one even saw the bodies of the people that went inside.

It has been years since someone neared this place again and thus it is not an exaggeration for Violet to get ready to turn into a corpse at any minute.

Tanzi sighed and her head hung low in defeat as she said, "Violet, you still have time to go back. It is okay if you leave. I can handle this myself."

Violet knows that Tanzi can handle this herself. In fact she also knows that her presence would only hinder Tanzi later instead of being helpful.

Yet being a good friend she is, Violet can't close her eyes and look on as her best friend enters the mouth of death alone.

Even if she was scared to death, she would want to stand beside her friend when she was facing danger.

She gave a cheeky grin towards Tanzi and said, "I am scared to go back alone now. Let me follow you please."

She made puppy dog eyes while pleading, making Tanzi chuckle at her antics. It is really scary for a person to move around alone in this area. Hence Violet's reasoning was perfect for a scaredy cat like her.

Yet Tanzi knew what she actually was thinking but did not speak anything about it but instead flicked on her forehead using her fingers, "Okay, now shush and follow me."

Violet smiled like a cheshire cat and nodded her head continuously when she heard her friend's consent. Then again her smile vanished as she slowly peeked inside the cave from behind Tanzi's shoulder.

Tanzi too turned around and took a step forward to enter the most dangerous cave.

As soon as they took a step inside the cave, darkness instantly enveloped them making them unable to see anything including each other's faces.

They raised their hands to take out a pair of wands that were held in the belts around their waists.

The wands showed that both the beautiful and demure looking women were in fact Witches and shouldn't be trifled with.

With a flick of their wrists, the tips of the wands sparkled.
