Chapter 1Prologue

"We cannot stay here it's too dangerous" the woman said panicking as she saw a glowing light getting closer and closer from the window and looked towards the woman sitting in a chair. "What are we going to do? The townspeople are going to kill us!" the woman in the chair was silent.

"The townspeople are blaming us for the sickness that has spread and saying it is a curse we had casted upon them" another woman said as she leaned against the mantle of the fireplace. "We have to leave now if we are to survive" another woman in the room stated.

The woman who was sitting felt all eyes on her as they all waited for an answer on what to do. "Elizabeth is right" the women said as she got up from her seat. "If we wish to survive this ordeal then we need to flee" she said with determination.

"Where would we go, news has probably spread throughout the land about this sickness. No matter where we would go we will get caught" a woman argued. "Then we will leave this land and travel to another" the woman said as she walked to the window. She could faintly hear the townspeople getting closer.

"Where would we go Sara?" a woman asked who was leaning against the mantle, Sara looked back at the woman and then turned towards the desk with a map on it. "There is a settlement here" Sara said pointing at the map and the other women came around to look.

"Sara our boat is not built for a long journey" the woman said looking at the map and pointed at the water that was dividing the two lands. "We would drown and die as our boat will tear to shreds" the woman added which added more anxiety to everyone's worries.

"What is the name of this settlement?" a woman asked looking at the map, Sara took a deep breath and said "Salem". All the ladies in the room just looked at each other as they did not know about the place. "I do not know if it will be safe but al least there will be no one there to recognize us and we can start over" Sara said.

The ladies didn't argue much about it as time was of the essence and their lives hanged in the balance. "I have an idea on how to get there" Sara said as she began to explain their route to everyone. There was a loud crash sound that startled everyone and Sara looked outside the window.

There was a huge crowd outside and some began throwing rocks at the house, smashing the windows in the process. The ladies screamed as they were scared of what was going to happen to them. "Its now or never!" Sara shouted "Isabelle get everyone to the boat!" Isabelle nodded her head and directed everyone to the back of the house.

Sara got as near as she could to a nearby window without getting spotted and assessed the situation. She could see a man at the front of the crowd pacing back and forth and saying something to the crowd as they cheered. Sara recognized the man who was talking to the crowd "Once again Duke Corbin fate has denied what you desired" Sara said to herself.

"You took everything away from me and now you rob me of my chance for revenge. I will return one day and when that day comes will be the last you ever see" Sara said before heading out to the back. The townspeople began to throw their torches and soon the house was engulfed in flames.

"Duke Corbin" one of the men approached "What is it?" the duke asked. "The lady Sara is not here" the man said which enraged the duke.

"She was supposed to be here!" the duke shouted and stared at the burning as it turned to ash. "Fate has once again let you slip through my fingers, but mark my words I will have your fortune" the duke said in a low voice before walking away with the crowd.

Sara reached the docks that was behind the house and saw everyone was there waiting for her. "Untie the rope from the docks" Sara said as she boarded the boat and they began their journey to Salem.

Chosen by Fate, Rejected by the Alpha

Eighteen-year-old Trinity is unlike any other werewolf in her pack. For one, there were unusual circumstances surrounding her birth, for another, she is the only pack member to never shift into a wolf form. So now she doesn't quite belong anywhere. Not quite human and not quite wolf. She thought she would be able to live her life how she wanted when she had turned eighteen. Go to college, make some friends, have some fun. But what is she to do when the dangerously sexy Alpha literally falls right into her lap? "I am not human, and I am not a wolf. I don't belong anywhere..." "...we both know that no one is going to mate with me, and even if they did, they would just reject me anyway." What is the sexy, brooding Alpha going to do? The elders are making him hold these ridiculous parties to search for a mate. He doesn't want a mate, but he knows he needs a mate to finish the Alpha Circle. Without a mate, a Luna for the pack, his people would suffer. And what is he going to do when he stumbles across the girl that fate has chosen for him and he finds out she has no wolf? "This cannot be!" I roared. "There is no way that I can mate with a girl that does not even have a wolf. She will be too weak. She will be inferior. She will not be strong enough to be a Luna." "I simply could not accept her as my mate. Not fully. It wasn't safe for her. She would get herself killed. And she would bring my pack down with her." When these two meet, sparks will surely fly. But will it be from passion, or their constant fighting? Neither of them wanted a mate. Neither of them wants the mate that fate chose for them. And neither of them can make that mate bond go away. What are they going to do now that they're literally stuck with each other? ***Rating Warning*** Adult Language Violence Strong Sexual Content THIS BOOK IS UNDERDER AN EXCLUSIVE CONTRACT AND IT IS NOT TO BE POSTED OR PUBLISHED ANYWHERE ELSE. Who knew that her father would send off her husband mere hours later to fight a war? Soleia was left alone to deal with an impoverished fief, a crumbling estate, and spiteful, vindictive relatives of the Duke who all wished to see her gone. She couldn’t leave― there was nowhere else to go. Soleia desperately wanted her husband to return so he could offer her a helping hand. However, when he did, he returned with Elowyn, a woman he claimed was his true love. A woman hellbent on taking her place as the rightful Duchess, no matter what she had to do to get Soleia out of the way. Mistreated, misunderstood, and miserable, Soleia was eventually thrown out of the estate she helped build. Fortunately, when one door closes, another one opens. Unknown to Soleia, a man more powerful than her husband had been watching her, waiting for the right time to snatch her into his gilded cage. Duke Elsher had been foolish to let go― but the crown prince of Raxuvia wouldn’t make the same mistake. *** [Excerpt] After two long years, Soleia's husband had finally returned home. But he was not alone. “Your Grace,” Soleia said, trying her best to maintain a calm tone, “welcome home. How were your travels?” The man remained silent as he stared at her. “Oh,” the woman that Soleia's husband had brought back said. “I was just wondering where the servants were. No one has come to greet you since your return. Could you please help us bring―” Orion tugged the woman back, protectively holding her in his embrace. His eyebrows furrowed as he glared at Soleia, his sudden action causing the woman to look confused at him. “Orion?” she asked, her hands on his chest to steady herself. “What’s the matter?” “That’s not a servant." In one swift motion, he threw the sword out at Soleia, only to be stopped by a flash of scarlet and the coppery scent of blood. *** Prequel to Stolen by the Rebel King.
