13 Secret

Some weeks later, in the darkness of the night our heroes have a break. A camp fire warms up them tenderly and this little flame enlightened them.

Hana has her hands point to the fire, while Daichi sharpens his new blade and observe it attentively.

" That's a good blade Hana."

Hana breath on her hands to warm them up, she look at daichi while she warm up herself.

" Yes this blade was on the shogun dynastie for decades..."

Hana try to warm up herself with her hands. Daichi look at her with attention.

" You are cold ?"

Hana stare at daichi and look down. She's breath releasing cold vapor.

" Yeah a little. Seriously... What wouldn't I give for a hot bath. "

Daichi sigh and do two sign towards hana. He used quen to hana and the sign of igni was inside the armor but doesn't burn only warm up her.

Hana look herself, the armor of quen surrounds her and she look at Daichi.

Daichi get close to the fire and put some wood on it.

Hana get closer to camp fire and sit down.

"Look. Jiyu is an island, which is separated into five regions by rivers, these are connected to the middle where the capital Hanabira is located. Hanabira are the first regions who composed them, next in the south east there is Mizu-shu, south west Chikyu-shu, north east Kaseshi and north west Hi-shin. I think than we must to go on Kaseshi."

Hana look the map and after look Daichi curiously.

"Why Kaseshi particularly ?" Ask hana

Daichi folds the map and put it in the patchel.

"Because, it been 4 years than I search this man in this whole country. Chikyu-shu, Mizu-shu and Hi-shin. I already explored them."

Hana stand up and go take her sleeping bag.

" I see, you have some contact in there ?"

Daichi thought, he have his fingers on his chin and finally look at Hana.

" Maybe, a witcher that I met when I study in the kitsune school"

Hana prepare her sleeping bag and sit down on it.

" I'm really impatient to meet him !"

Daichi sit down to meditate

Hana cold look at Daichi

"Go sleep. Tomorrow, maybe we will find a quest in the village."

Hana sigh and lie down in the sleeping bag. She close her eye and close her hands on her chest.

Daichi open one eye to look at her. He sigh and close it.

Tomorrow

In the morning, both of them are on their horses, they continue to advance till the midday, when finally they arrives in the village. The yakuten village.

" We have arrived "

Daichi watches around him, eyes narrowed in caution, the people are happy, the elves, dwarves and humans lived happily. In front of the inn, they tie up their horse and enter. Daichi approaches the innkeeper who was an elf but Hana stops him.

" No ! Now it's me who going to talk with him ! Like that, you not going to spend all of the money !"

Hana took the purse and get close to the innkeeper . While Daichi see a empty table and get close to it. He sit down and wait Hana. He continue to observe around him intensively. He look toward Hana and sees that she gets approached by three guys.

" Hey ! ladies do you want to drink something I paid for you !"

Hana look at them and was embarras. She look away.

" No thanks..."

"Don't worry sweeties ! we are good guys ! We just invite you to join us ! To talk, be friends and maybe further you see ?!"

He put his right hand on the shoulder of Hana but she push back him.

The man behind Hana want to paw her but Daichi arrive and grabs his hand. He takes his inch and make him kneel. The man hurt, the others get closer and are ready to fight.

" Please... Do not do this in my establishment..."

He put out some beers and laying them in the counter. Daichi let go the man and take a beer. The guys take their beers and get out. Hana look at Daichi and sit next to him.

" Thanks..."

Daichi continue to look around him, while the inn keeper get close to them.

" So what do you want ? Dear customers ?"

Daichi put down his beer and look at the innkeeper.

" Their is some work around here ?"

The innkeeper stop to wash the dishes and look attentively Daichi.

" A vat'gern in my inn ? Interesting, sorry but we don't have any job for you witcher... my apologies..."

Daichi sigh, look away and stand up. He go to the entrance of the inn.

"Where you going ? " ask Hana

Daichi look at her, narrow and look outside.

The inn keeper put infront of Hana a glass of alcohol and smile.

Hana look at him and smile.

Hana drink it and sigh. The inn keeper wash the dishes. Meanwhile, Daichi outside find the guys earlier who wait him.

" You asshole ! I going to kick your ass !"

Daichi sigh and stand in guard.

One of them advance and punch him. Daichi grab his arm, turn, carry him and throw him on the ground. The second attack, Daichi dodge his fist, punch him on the face and make him K.O.

The last try to give a right but Daichi block it and hardly punch his stomach. The man kneel and squeeze his belly.

Daichi walk away and explore the village. Meanwhile, Hana in the inn talk with the owner.

" So little girl..."

" Hana my name is Hana " she said while she drink

The innkeeper get close while smiling.

" So Hana, what is your relationship with him ?"

Hana split out the alcohol and blush. She look at the owner with an embarass look.

" Wh-What are you talking about ?"

The innkeeper smirk and laugh.

" Seriously ! Look at you, I don't see any cat eyes, so your not a witcher like him but you continue to follow him ! What are you ? Friend, comrade or it's your boyfriend ?"

Hana blush more.

She look down with deception, her eye narrowed with sadness. She remember the castle in the garden.

The owner look at her with pity and compasion. He serve another glass for her.

Hana smile at him and drink it.

Suddenly, Hana see blurry and duplicate. She put her right hand on her front and cold glance at the owner.

" What did your put in my glass ?"

The owner evil smirk and stare at Hana.

" What do you mean ? You just get drunk ! "

Hana be anger, she stand up.

" No you lie, I can take a lot of alcohol, even my dad are more fasted drunked than me."

Hana walk to the exit, the owner get out of the counter. Hana staggers to the exit but fall infront of it, she can see but not moving.

" Okay ! Okay, maybe I put some drugs on it ! Seriously your going to make me rich when I going to send you !"

Hana was lying on the ground, her eyes begin to get close but she only thought.

Meanwhile outside Daichi continue to explore. He look around in the road and see something on the ground shining. He get close to it and see a locket in a heart form. He take it and open it. There was inside a painting of a family all human, he look behind and saw a calligraphy. It's written Jack the owner of the yakuten hostel. He open wide his eyes.

" Wait what ?! That's mean who is this guy ?"

Daichi run to the inn but there was the villagers with weapons gurding the entrance. Daichi have his left hand on fire ready to burn everything.

" Maybe I should burn them all. No... there is Hana inside, if I burn everything she can be in danger. Guess I have no choice but to kill them all."

Daichi rush to them, they see him come and begin to charge at him. Daichi dodge one and cut him. He use igni but in his original form but more powerful. He burn half of them and rush to the others. He beheaded one and counter-attack an other who want to hit him behind. He cut his chest, take his sword and throw it to an other.

While in the inn, the rest of them can only heard the scream outside. Hana was lying down foot and arm attached. She can scream or moving. Only watch and heard.

" what's going on? "

"I don't know !"

The owner hit the ground all of his bandits look at him.

" It's the witcher "

Everyone there get scared, outside suddenly everything get quiet. A man enter, he's bleeding but it was a member of the robber.

" We won chief..."

Everyone get shocked but scream of joy, the owner hug the man, while some tears rolled down the face of Hana. The owner notice it, get close to her and kneel.

" Are you cried ? Aaah... Don't worry you couldn't go out with him and confess your feelings but don't worry we can replace him and take care of you. If you see what I mean..."

Hana hardly bit her lips and grind her teeth by anger and sadness. The owner touch the hair of Hana and begin to remove the belts from his tunic. He smirk. In this moment Hana lost hopes and begin to accept her fate. But the robber who enter stab the owner, who split some blood.

" Wh-what... are you doing ?"

The owner fall and the other stay in their guard. The man begin rush to them and the door open. It was Daichi he rush to them and with the man begin to kill them. In the end only Daichi and the man are stand up. Daichi look the man.

" Thank you" said Daichi, while he beheaded him.

He get close to the body of the owner and see a key. He take it and get close to Hana. She cried but for joy and smile.

" I get back, wait a little"

Daichi goes behind the counter and sees a trap door that brought him to the basement, he opens it and goes inside, he finds a door and opens it with the key. Inside was elves, dwarves and humans who lived her. Their was terrified, he drew his blade and set them free.

He goes up and unties Hana.

" She's still in the effect of the drugs."

The villagers goes up and look at him, a man approach

" H-hello I want to said thanks to you... And if there is anything we can do to pay our debt."

Daichi carry Hana on his arm and look at the man.

" Just prepare us some food and let us stay this night."

He walk to the stair, while the villagers goes to their occupation.

Upstairs Daichi walk with Hana in his arms, he enter in a room and lying down her on a bed. He put the blanket on her and begin to go. Hana grab his hand but couldn't move more, Daichi sit down on the bed next to Hana.

" I'm really glad Daichi-kun..."

Hana's head was on the pillow, he look at her eyes shining tears. Her breath was hot than usual. In this moment he couldn't thought about other think than

"She's cute."

He tenderly stroking her hair and her cheeks. Hana grap his hand and tighten it strongly.

" I was scared... I thought you were dead. Why did this man help you and why did you kill him ?"

Daichi withdrew his hand and look away.

" I used axii to control his mind, when I would cancel the spell he could have attacked me."

" I see... I'm glad you still alive."

Daichi get up and begin to get out. He goes downstairs where everyone have a party.

The true owner look at Daichi and invite him.

Some hours later.

Hana awake and get up. She heard the party downstairs and begin to go at it. She arrive in the ground floor and saw Daichi. She get close and sit next to him. Daichi look at her with a smile.

" You are finally awake !"

He give her a glass of alcohol and they begin to drink. They do the party till the midnight.

When it was the time to go sleep both of them enter in their room, it was tiny but there was a table with a chair and a bed with a window next to it on his right.The dark light of the moon pass through it. Hana look at Daichi and block the door.

" D-Daichi-kun..."

Daichi look at Hana.

" Yes ?"

Hana look down with embarassement and try to avoid the eyes contact.

" It been few weeks that we are on the road and you saved my life a lot of time. And for this, I want to thank you..."

Daichi look at Hana and smile. He walk to the bed and sit down. He look outside throughthe window. The moon enlightened the village with a beautiful dark blue.

" Don't worry. You would do the same for me."

Daichi turn his head and open his eyes wide. Hana was infront of him but in underwear.

" Ha-Hana... What are you doing ?"

Hana continue to avoid the eyes contact but get close.

" I want to thank you..."

Daichi move back at the same time she advance but he was blocked by the wall.

Hana continue to get closer but she look Daichi, now it's him who try to avoid the eyes contact.

" I told you that you don't need to do tha-..."

Daichi didn't finish his sentences than he was cut by Hana who kiss him. She continue for a long secondes and finally stop.

" I love you... Daichi-kun... and you ? Do you love me ?"

Daichi was anxious for many years his hearts racing.

" To be honest, I don't know what I feeling right now."

Hana looks away and narrows her eyes in disappointment.

" I see...:

" But !" Hana looks at Daichi with surprise.

"The kiss earlier... made me feel good and... I think for the first time in many years... I was happy."

Hana is moved, instantly she throws herself on Daichi and kisses him. They continue and begin to undress.

It will be a long night for them, but for the first time in many years. The witcher feels happiness
