121 Leo's Tragic Past

I remembered back when I was a child, I really loved to see the green structures of different sizes built by skilled men. All around me was filled with different shades of green as well, from the trees to the fine grass beneath our feet.

That's where the name of our city was derived from-- the once known beautiful city of Emerald.

My father, who was the duke assigned to govern the whole city under the Esmond Empire, was one of those skilled men who helped in building the whole city. Because of his competence, it was then that Emerald City was known to be the most productive city in the whole country of Valen, with leading numbers in terms of production, export, and trading through different neighboring towns and cities.

I still recall, as if it only happened yesterday afternoon, the smile across my father's face as he said these words while he carries me in his arms as we watch the whole city beneath our terrace.:
