66 A Ray Of Hope

"L-Lance… what are you doing here?"

My head automatically lifted up in disbelief when I heard that very familiar voice who is calling to me right now. The moment I looked up, Charm's confused look was the first one to greet me. At this point, all she can move freely was her head, while her hands are still spread forth from each other.

Her rosy eyes, whom I missed so much, looked at me straight in the eyes, and we locked gazes right here and then.

"C-Charm, we haven't seen for a week, and that's the first thing you will say to me?" I tried to crack a joke, yet it was my voice who is cracking at the same time. Darn it. In fact, I am now trying my best to hold up my tears as long as I could for me not to look unpleasant in front of her right now.

There was a moment of silence before Charm decided to talk once more. "I am so sorry, Lance, for hiding all of this from you. Believe me, if I will say I don't want to---"
