103 'No One Should Be Left Behind'

"Dave…" 

My mouth gaped as I witnessed my ex-lover Dave pushed the red button for me. After that, the enormous gate made of steel slowly descended with metal chains connected to it.

"I'm wishing you all the best in your quest, Lianne." I heard him say in his usual gentle, sweet voice, that got me to fall in love with him over and over again.

"Whatever that is… I will help you in any way that I can to make this world a better place."

"How did you know about our quest?" I said, still in shock. 

His face changed into being serious once more. "It doesn't matter how I ended up knowing about your quest, but I know it is for the better. Now, go! Before they close the gates once more!"

I have so many things I wanted to ask him, but I heard several footsteps going in our direction… footsteps of his comrades who are now ready to strike whenever they catch me alone in here.
