2 THE NEW ROOM

The lights from the portal on the wall vanished.

Luna jumps into the bed and felt the soft cushions in her skin.

She is welcomed by the darkness but she could see well.

Am I inside a human room? I could smell the difference.

She opened her arms and reached out for the heirloom and snap the room into a new world.

The room filled with vines and beautiful flowers just like her room in their house in the Magical Village.

And that's how it should be. Luna smiled and fallen asleep from the dizziness of her long journey.

The doors opened.

Jax was stunned by the interior of the room.

How could vines and flowers be inside a room?

The walls speak of the outdoors.

The sweet scent is lingering in the air.

Then, I started sneezing.

And endless sneezing.

Oh, God! Is there any way that a cat is around?

Yes, I am allergic to cats!

We used to have huge cats on our farm.

But I couldn’t stay so long around with them.

My allergy will kill me.

I used to feed them when I was younger but after a week, I’ll be in the hospital.

But... I’m mesmerized by the decorations of the room like I'm in the woods.

No, not this room. I couldn’t stand the smell.

I settled my luggage near the bed and was surprised by a beautiful cat in my bed.

The most beautiful cat I ever met in my entire life.

Her head is shiny black and her skin color is ivory and it shimmers.

By just looking at her, my desire to touch her arise.

Then, my nose reminds my brain to stop myself.

*Sneezing

Really? A cat owned this huge room?

On her neck shows her name tag “Luna”

And why would Annie leave their pet in this house?

Oh! She is sleeping soundly as humans do.

That’s quite a surprise!

Our old cats sleep the longest in five minutes.

But this cat is special, I guess?

And now my nose is starting to kill me.

*Sneezing

I need to find myself a different room now.

I will surely call Annie about the cat.

I took my luggage and started to walk out of the room.

And transferred to the opposite room.

The room is huge with a king-size Victorian bed in white linens and a gold headboard.

The interior decorations are the total opposite of the other room.

It is a spacious minimalist interior, with dressers, a sofa set, and huge wide windows, showing the vast land in front of the house.

The room has its own spacious bathroom and a gold bathtub.

The white walls and gold carvings captured my heart.

Everything speaks of my own taste.

And Yes, this is my room.

I immediately took a shower to freshen up myself before dinner.

And change to my comfortable white shirt and cotton shorts.

Then, I heard Lilly calling out for dinner.

My stomach is rumbling from hunger.

I swiftly go out of my room.

And heard some sounds from the opposite room.

A girl's voice?

Nah... I'm just hungry, I'm hallucinating.

I immediately walk down the grand staircase to the dining area.

The table is already ready.

Lilly pointed to my seat at the head of the table.

I have a veggie burger toast, leafy salad, and some tofu.

Well, not bad for dinner.

I thank Lilly for the dinner and said "Did you get some wine too?"

She smiled and nodded.

She filled our glasses and clean our dishes from the table.

Then, give me some documents to read that need my signature.

And she reminded me of our schedules the next day.

As soon as I completed the documents and completed my bottle of wine.

I said good night to Lilly and started to walk back to my room.

While Lilly walks behind me and goes in the opposite direction.

She took the last room on the opposite hallway as I do.

When I reached my door, I heard the girl's voice again.

The voice is coming from the opposite door with the cat inside.

Oh! I forgot to mention to Lilly about the cat.

Could it be a ghost? There's a ghost in the house?

I'll check back the room tomorrow.

I might be tired and tipsy, thus, hallucination is kicking in again.

There's no ghost.

I entered my room, brush my teeth and change into my sleeping wear.

Slowly lay down on the bed.

And drift off to sleep.

"Luna... Luna..." I'm calling the beautiful cat, who's running in the meadows.

The meadows shifted into the woods. How could that be possible?

Then, the air becomes so thin. I'm suffocating.

Luna stopped running and transformed into the most beautiful girl that I have met.

She holds the trees and turned them into ashes.

I'm out of breath. I'm gasping.

I'm awakened.

I'm thirsty and sweating hard.

Then, I get off from the bed.

I'm feeling dopey, walking down the hallway.

When the cat started to run in front of me.

I was shocked!

My body stopped and froze. I couldn't move. Am I still dreaming?

Hey, it's only a cat! I'm talking to myself. Keep moving!

I started walking again and reached the bottom of the grand staircase.

And a girl.... the girl in my nightmare is in the dining area!

I'm pinching my arms. Oh, God! It's real!

She is beautiful and alluring.

Her long, jet black hair flowing on her ivory skin.

She is standing on her right side view.

I remembered the story of Eve in the garden of Eden.

But how is this possible?

I cleared my throat.

"Excuse me? What are you doing inside my house?" My voice echoes on the ground floor.

She immediately hides under the dining table.

How could a naked girl wandering inside my house?

Is she a thief?

"Hey, Miss! You better explain yourself now, or else I'll call the police station for trespassing on my property!"

She goes out from the table and exposed herself in front of me.

Her body is glowing, her eyes are beautiful in emerald green.

She raised her right hand, hold her necklace, and then, *SNAP.

She's gone.

I couldn't move.

I'm becoming more thirsty and sweaty.

I slapped my face to wake up.

Ouch! Oh, God! That's painful.

Then, I swiftly crossed the fridge as fast as I can.

Took some bottled water and quench my thirst.

I quickly go back to my room.

And change me to new dry clothes.

Then, lay down to bed.

My head couldn't fathom what my eyes are showing me earlier.

That's it! I need to call Annie, first thing in the morning.

I need explanations.

And I doze off.

I'm awakened in bed with heaviness in my arms.

I opened my eyes and looking... at the same girl last night, she's sleeping next to me in bed?

I disengaged her in my arms and jump off from bed.

"Who are you?" I looked at her sternly.

"Hey, Jax, it's me, Luna. Do you remember me?" she smiled sweetly.

How in the world that she's sleeping with me in my bed?

She raises her right hand, holds her necklace, and snaps.

"I am your girlfriend, Jax" My mind is telling me to concede but my heart is saying no.

"Jax, chill, just relax... it's me Luna, your girlfriend." She snapped again.

"Oh, babe! You're awake." He gives a quick kiss. "Are you hungry? I'll try to check downstairs if the contracted housekeeper and cook are around. Just wait and relax... I'll bring you some breakfast." Jax said with so much care and charm, YES! He is under my spell.

That was so close. Is Jax the right one? My mind is clouded. I couldn't read his mind.

Then suddenly, someone is knocking on the door.

I'm still naked. I need some clothes.

I shapeshifted myself back to a cat and hide at the bottom of the bed.

Then, the doors opened.

It is the housekeeper. She started dusting, vacuum the floor and make the bed.

And she left.

Then. I could smell Jax's scent, he is coming. I heard his footsteps getting so close.

I need to get back to bed. *SNAP

I'm back to my human form on top of the bed and cover my body with the blanket.

"Babe? Here's your breakfast in bed." He smiled while handing the breakfast tray.

Then. someone is knocking on the door.

"Mr. Green? Miss Annie is on the telephone." Why I could read her mind? Lilly senses that there's something off with Jax this morning.

She's standing outside the door, waiting, and wanted to get inside but holding herself.

She's wearing some kind of an office uniform with her name on it.

"Babe, Lilly is waiting for your response" I whispered in his ears.

"Lilly, I'm having my breakfast with my girlfriend. I'll meet you later with the construction team." He sounded very authoritative.

Lilly's mind is full of confusion. How is it possible that Mr. Green has a girlfriend inside his room?

"Thank you, Babe! The breakfast looks delicious. I want you to eat with me." I offered him the croissant and he took a hearty bite.

And I ate the remaining portion of it.

Then, we shared the breakfast that he brought in bed.

Lilly started walking in the hallway and heard a girl's voice from Mr. Green's room.

Who is that girl? I have a bad vibration coming from the room.

How could that be possible?

Then, my phone rings.

"Yes, Hello Miss Annie? I'm so sorry but Mr. Green is currently busy. Could I ask you something?"
