10 Chapter TEN

Amelia made her way to the designated school building. After what had happened at the cafeteria, she had fled to collect herself. The sight of Declan had pissed her off, much to the point where she had almost lost control and killed him on the spot. If it weren't for the vampires around, Amelia did not know what she could have done.

Still, her plans had not gone the way she had expected them to go. She had cursed Declan all the way for ruining her day. She knew her true identity was bound to be revealed after some time, but she was surprised it had happened in a matter of hours. Nonetheless, she was prepared for the possibilities of her secret being exposed.

To be exact, she was prepared if the students planned to attack her at once. The other possibility, which she hoped for, was that they wouldn't bother with her out of fear of what she could to them.

They were not even her main focus. She was in the process of fixing the mess she had left in the human world that had led to her exposure. She was certain the humans were still looking for her, and the only way to make them forget about her was to use a large potion quantity. However, the potion needed time before it could be ready.

Apart from that, the Bermuda Triangle had its history of dead ends. It felt like the humans would not find out about the island in that part of the ocean, but Amelia was not going to take any chances. She had herself place a cloaking spell over the land. She did not want to risk it.

Amelia arrived at the school that morning. Much to her surprise, there seemed to be no one standing at the front of the building, even though the doors were open. The whole area looked deserted.

'Strange', she thought. Her ears perked up when she heard the unmistakable sound of chattering and screams coming from the back of the building. She soon teleported herself to the area.

The students had crowded, seeming to be staring at something in their field of vision. It was drawing a lot of negative reactions, and Amelia was curious to find out what it was.

"Move," she said without warning, pushing people out of the way as she made her way to the sight at the front. The students noticed her, quickly moving away from her.

Amelia's breath left her when she saw Declan and Mia's bodies on the ground. Having seen her approach, Ryker spoke to her.

"You did this," his voice was low. He sounded deadly, and the glare he was fixating on the witch proved that he wanted to get rid of her.

Still, Amelia was surprised by his words.

"It is because of you that those two are dead," Ryker continued.

"Ryker--" Charlotte tried to shut him up. Amelia had not noticed her, until she turned to face her, spotting Emmett close to her.

"Don't get in my way, Charlotte!" he cut her off with a frightening glare. "Why even bother hiding it? Everyone knows she's a witch, and with everything that has happened over the last few months, who else could have done this?"

"You don't have proof that it could be her!" Charlotte pointed out. At that moment, she did not care about the murdered bodies. She was worried about what Amelia would do to him for speaking out like that.

"What the fuck?" he said, looking at Emmett's sister in disbelief. "Are you seriously standing up for her?"

"No! I--"

Soon, he returned that glare onto Amelia, who looked unaffected. She also noticed that the other vampires had retreated, having formed a circle around her and Ryker.

'For what? Was there going to be a fight?'

Amelia wanted to laugh the idea off.

"You murderer!" Ryker screamed, proving her wrong as an invisible force so strong shoved her backwards. Her feet skidded on the grassy ground, and she adjusted her weight to stop herself from falling on her back.

Amelia looked back at him in surprise. She did not believe he had actually done that.

"Ryker!" Charlotte's panicked voice sounded in the air. Her worries of the guy fighting Amelia were becoming a reality, and she wanted to stop it before things went too far.

Who knew what the witch could do to him for that.

Amelia had been taken aback by Ryker's move. She had heard of vampires possessing powers just like witches. She thought it was a rumour, but she saw she was wrong. At that moment, she made a mental note to go read as much as she could find out about vampires.

She looked back at Ryker, seeing the angered look on his face.

"You must have some big balls to do something like that to someone like me," she threatened him.

Ryker ignored her words as he thrust his hands forward, pushing her again, this time making her land on her butt.

"Are all vampire guys such dicks to girls?" she commented, picking herself up from the ground. "Now let me save you the trouble, and the unnecessary energy. I didn't do it."

"We don't believe you," Emmett countered her, moving to stand next to his friend. He was soon joined by two other guys. Ryker gave them an appreciative glance at the three before they all faced Amelia.

Meanwhile, Amelia's eyes glanced at each of the four boys as a displeased smile took over her features.

"I did not do it," she repeated, but she was met with silence, determined gazes.

"You guys aren't going to listen to me, are you?" she voiced out, and the silence confirmed things for her.

'Okay', she thought, seeing how things were going to go.

"Are you sure you want to do this?"

To answer her, the four used their combined powers and pushed her farther back. The force was so strong for Amelia to counter that she was sent upward and falling over the edge of the grass-covered ground that was behind her. Behind her was a steep fall that led to rocks where the ocean waves occasionally crashed on.

Gasps were heard as everyone saw her fall.

They all waited to hear something, but they only heard the wind.

"Is she dead?" someone asked, and everyone held out hope for it to be true. They thought it would have been great to get rid of the person that posed a threat to their lives.

Soon, Amelia was seen flying up in the air. Surprised sounds echoed around the area when everyone saw her rise up.

"She can fly?" Emmett looked shocked.

"One thing you should know about me," she said, moving to land on the ground. "I cannot be gotten rid of that easily."

Emmett shivered for a moment, but he was determined to do whatever was necessary to get rid of her.

With a yell, Ryker charged toward her. Once he was near her, he moved with swift punches, aiming for her face. Amelia dodged them, grabbing his arm, missing the other that repeatedly punched him in the stomach. She growled, kicking him back until he landed on the ground. Emmett soon followed, using his legs to hit her.

"Seriously?" Amelia commented as she immediately grabbed his leg. Emmett struggled to free himself from her grasp, but he also struggled to maintain his balance. She yanked at his foot, watching with amusement as he lost his footing and fell on his back.

The other two who had not yet attacked chose that moment to charge at her.

"Well hello there, witchy," one of the guys said with a creepy grin. Amelia did not like her chosen nickname. Mostly because it lacked originality, and so she moved to punch him. The guy grabbed her arm, not countering the swift powerful punch from her other arm that came to his sides.

"Fuck!" he cursed, smiling as he let go of her. He clutched at his sides, letting his other partner take over. Punches and kicks followed, which Amelia easily dodged before throwing the person back with her telekinesis powers.

Emmett and Ryker got up from the ground, moving to attack her again. At that time, the other students had gotten courage from watching them as they started joining in.

"Oh fuck," Amelia said to herself. She thought it would not happen, but she deemed herself an idiot for not seeing it coming. She thought they wouldn't dare to do it, even though the notion had come to her that something like that could happen, but she had been wrong.

Bodies of students flew right at her. Fists were clenched, faces contorted into anger and determination, and their legs were tense for a fight.

Amelia could see blurred faces as they came for her. She paid close attention to her breathing and hearing, focused on the individuals approaching her from the front and back. She did not have time to panic at a horde of people coming after her.

Punches came at her, and she quickly grasped the fists, using her powers to push back whoever threw them. Her powers came in hand every once in a while, only using her telekinesis powers though. If she dared to use her other powers, the fight wouldn't be fair, and she wanted to prove to everyone that she could take them all out without mostly relying on her abilities.

Flying kicks also went toward her, hitting her sides. She did not have time to howl in pain because she had to get everyone down. She knew she could do it, and as she looked around, she saw multiple openings that would help her win.

"Get her!" she heard Emmett's voice ring in the air, and that was followed by a war cry.
