114 They are the best?

It was odd. But Knight seems to have plans. Taking me to a side room with a mirror. I knew was part of the mirror express that went into my aunt reception room. Sort of odd but it saves travel time a lot.

"Where are we going?" I asked,

"To see a Seer that isn't one of your aunts. I need a second option. It is very important that I get it right, my mate is at risk." Knight said as he opens the door in the mirror.

"Why? They are the best?"

It was a statement better not to answer so I held my tongue and sank back into my seat. Close my eyes and imagine being somewhere else.

"Conflict of interest," he said so quite I think he didn't intend me to hear.

Tension grabbed the back of my neck and I just need to take my eyes of Knight. It was more than the signing, more than the spell, more than the potion. His allure made it impossible to resist. I was a catastrophe waiting to happen. He never made promises or even attempt of any indication of a relationship I should not have gotten my hopes up and dream to have the impossible. Then again how could I not, just look at him.

After a long agonizing silence, I got my emotions under control. For a moment there I had forgotten the truth. When reality came crashing down it overwhelm me.

"We are here," he said as he pushed the door open.

The seer home turns out to live in a sprawling peach-colored home with a landscaped yard. There was a winding pathway leading down to a dock by the lake. It was in the expensive side of town where the price was unbelievably high, and the money was extremely old. My grandmother lived a few miles up the road and it made me wonder a little about why they've never mentioned her or why she was never invited.

"Nice," I murmured as Knight cut the sports car's engine.

He had his driver go home and take out another car. I do get it but I am annoyed with him trying to show off his wealth over and over again. On a third thought, it was the perfect day to drive a convertible, nice and sunny. I should have expected no less from him.

The man knew how to charm. I could not help but laughed as he went over the speed limit several times. He gives me a sideways look before parking in front of the house.

"It's important to do this?"

"Yes, she's different but very effective. Some like her better than your aunts. Advice is freely given in her home."

This was getting a bit more interesting. I've never had a second option. Seers and fortune telling is an expensive and complicated process.
