167 Signed and seal

After Peter sign the deal, I went a few floors down to Roy who at the moment wasn't Diana boyfriend anymore.

But it was all like this one moment you were with her. Then you'd do something she didn't like so she'd dump you like a hot potato. Most of it were sort of petty like not showing up on time because you had to work over time or prevent a war.

I was muttering to myself and deep in my own sleep-deprived thoughts when I bumped into a tall vampire duke. One of the few who didn't work for a witch. Elma was wearing a tan skirt and jacket with a crisp white blouse.

Her eyes glowed with a sort of friendly avarice as soon as she saw me.

"Grey," she said, her lips curving into a smile."Fancy seeing you here."

I cleared my throat.

"Hi, Elma," I said.

Taking a look at her collar bone, there was a new inked tattoo. She had made a deal with March. So I knew I had to move fast. The future was changing more than I expect.

We weren't close and I didn't have an offer for her yet so I hurried pass her.

The doors to Roy office swung open just as I reach for it. Roy the man, tall handsome and immaculate dress in his grey suit. He stopped, too, and looked at me, holding open the door with one arm. There were bags under his grey eyes, but they were still calculating, assessing.

"Grey," he said, and nodded to me.

"Roy," I replied, keeping my tone polite, even friendly. "I have an offer for you."

He frowned a little, and then glanced at the hallway. Turning around he walked me into his room.

There I place a love potion on his deask. He look at me as if I was mad. But I knew him better, eventually, because of Diana he'd turn dark and dabble in black magick.

The type that I'd never touch. All of that so he could have her. This is a better solution to his problem. Then I place Revenui on the table. It was my trump card.

"Love and Power." I said,

He look at me as if I was a two face Riparian. I wasn't.

"What is the price?" he asked,

"To never harm me." I said, "And well, an ant farm."

There was a long paused. His ant farm was a highly converted spy net work. Ants were cheap to raise, hard to detect and everywhere so they were perfect for spying.

Roy's ancestor made a fortune selling information and earn the family a position as an Elder. The method on how to make these ants were a family secret but I could have my own farm and seal it away from him.
