110 Need any help?

The moment I saw it I had recognized the coats of arms. This was a good piece so far but I had to cross my fingers over it, hoping that it wasn't just an empty box without its content. It was a risk but if it was complete set it'll be my best find ever. I've seen the paperwork, the cost at the time was sixty thousand rubies and sixty strings of pearls. A king's ransom at the time but would you have expected anything less from a dragon, any less and it'll be insulting their mate.

Glancing around, there also was another item that caught my eyes but I couldn't extricate my hand. The reason became instantly clear when two of the men I had noticed staring at the piece walked over looking rather intimidating.

"Interesting?" the first one to get within speaking distance asked Knight.

"Isn't it, Hale," Knight said. "I wasn't expecting you here. Last I heard there was business in South East Asia, trouble in paradise? Need any help?"

"Hardly," He said but his grip tightened. It kept me quite long enough. Then I notice the coat of arms embroidered on the man's tie.

"Tell me, how do you know each other? Is there a story?" I asked.

"My dear, it's a very long story. Perhaps, over dinner, some other time would be appropriate for the tale." He said smirking victoriously. "It's not suited to be talked about in public."

"Look, Malik's coming over. Better keep her close. We don't want accidents."

"He is no match to me," Knight said arrogantly.

"True, he doesn't need to be. After all, with a face like his, I'm sure you know his statistics. He's a bit more famous than you. My dear friend."

The conversation was cut short when two men arrived. Both looked no different than his friend, dress up, the sleeves of his shirt were rolled up to reveal a gold tattoo on one forearm. The shorter one took my hand and kisses it.

It would seem that Knight was getting his money worth out of our contract. He had to put up a show and it was going to cost him.

"I'm delighted for you," he said to Knight taking his hand, "She is a beauty. The wildest dream is to find a true mate. You must be pleased."

"Very,"

"Careful my friend," he said holding onto Knight.

It wasn't his small gesture that made a problem. It was his eyes roaming over my body that made knight body stiffening aggressively. This could end badly and I couldn't think of a way out of it.

"Do you plan on introducing us?"

"Hi, I'm GRAY. Glad to meet you," I said, extending my hand to the gorgeous blond with the flashing green eyes with the gold tattoo.
