64 Me or you?

Hebe was too much. I grumbled as I started my own potions. I only had one good recipe. It was for sun potion. A mix of instant cocoa to the potion and then some sunflower seeds. I was being ambitious, making six batches working simultaneously. It was a mammoth task I hope Hebe would help but she was busy.

Unfortunately, I had forgotten her nature. She had the need to make academic changeling potions that are only whisper off in private halls of estates. That was so exclusive that most never see one in a lifetime and with a lifespan from a thousand years upward. Lover potion was not that.

It was impressive and depressive. Someone had invented such a potion for a mate, having to resort to use it was the all-time low.

"Dried Roses and ink together?" I asked her, skeptically. "Are you sure on that one? Isn't too much? Will it be difficult to communicate or something? Do you know something?"

"It makes people show true emotions. You will thank me when you drink it?"

"Uhmm. I don't think it's going to happen."

"It will."

"Uh. No, I don't think it's going to happen."

"Hey!" Hebe protested, "Who's see's the future you or your aunts? They told me you'll need it very soon. I'm hoping it's today so I can start gloating."

"Well-"

There was something I should tell her. But her big mouth and snappy come back were a bother. And maybe somethings should not be known.

"Who's got all the experience with love? Me or you?"

"Hebe-"

"Me then but if you..."

"Hebe-"

"Gene, listen to me," Hebe lectured me, "I was in love with my master when I was twelve. I knew of love even before your grandmother was born. The line didn't even start when I married him. It was a great love affair until his untimely death."

It was true but she didn't mention Kane his reincarnation. There was nothing I could say yet; so I didn't say anything just watch her do her thing. It was like a magic show. Hebe adds the last touches with precision and the potion changes color from color. Until it turns clear means that it is done. This was a common textbook description achieving it is a bit more complicated so I need Hebe to help me with this part it was the part I never got right. She didn't loom over me but if I did anything that could ruin my potion she'd hold me back.

Usually, they turn a pale color watery. It was far from perfect but after changing to chocolate it really didn't matter if I did not perfect my skill.

"Right, let's add a little spice. Saffron always works best with a Robin's Egg Blue potion with a hint of Wisteria." Hebe said stirring the almost clear liquid around.

"Saffron?" I asked ready to faint.

One of the ingredients that didn't come cheap but very commonly used thanks to its spiritual powers. It was also the main catalysis in potions like I said being a witch is costly.
