43 Information Cat?

There really was something wrong with her. Then again, in the later years her mind sort of broke and she was a mess. It was my doing but she should have put up a better fight.

"I'm staying," I told her taking my time to eat the rest of my salad.

"She's staying. I need another set of ears to listen to you, Cat." Knight said pushing for the upper hand.

Nice, I lick my lips. My meal was very good. The dressing was quality and I wasn't about to let it waste because I was annoyed. After all, I was paying two hundred dollars for it.

Taking her time, Cat crosses her legs and pushed deeper into Knight. I don't know why she was wasting our time. A low life like her should really be afraid as she was talking to the highest predator on the food chain and her being almost at the bottom wasn't a good thing. She could be his next meal literally if she wasn't careful.

In my long life, I've seen immortals eat other forms at higher levels than her. Dragons and Lizardian are quite tasty but eagle-shifters weren't considered a delicacy by any standard.

"He just asked about turning into a vampire," she said pressing harder against him. "I knew my answer wasn't what he wanted to hear but I'm not sure if it's for him or someone else. He was always too nice for his own good. If I had a say it was his girl. She was the sneaky one. Even went over budget you allow."

"Long hair with bangs, blue eyes and great golden tan skin?" he asked pulling out his phone to show her.

"Yes, that's her. She really liked the fancy stuff like chains and wood craved crosses. The imported type what she does with it I don't know. It's not like she has a being lover. I mean the stuff doesn't work on Jamey and they were steady as far as I knew." said Cat as she put her hand around him and studying him through narrowed eyes and thick, long lashes. "They did have a lot of fun together."

Taken aback, I counted to six trying to reel back my emotions. Taking his time, Knight made a polite move to remove her hand. I had the irking feeling that it was some kind of test. I saw him smirk a little and bit my cheek this really wasn't any of my business if he wanted her. He wasn't my mate. We didn't know each other and importantly he knew her. I could see it in her eyes the way she watched him, the way she smiled and the way her body moved.
