74 ID, please?

For me, my aunts told me that I had to prepare for a hearing. Dress-robes was a good idea and I like to keep it simple, nothing too fancy like phoenix feathers. Dragonhide is the best choice when you want to make a statement but not be the statement. Then I layer on my jewelry, the three delicate golden rings, the emerald bracelet, the ruby pendant and my mother's diamond earrings were added last. Looking into the mirror I do up my hair and add a large fancy comb to hold it in place.

Taking one last look I added a feather headpiece, completing my outfit. I may not be a beauty but I was not going look hideous. Especially in front of those beautiful people.

Once satisfied I put on some perfume. This was my secret weapon. Protection over protection over protection was my only edge since I wasn't using active magic. Hebe said it would give me an opening if I ever need it. I still don't know what it does but I don't think I want to find out.

"Phi" I shouted.

Nothing happens. It was the first time he ever been late. So I decided to grab a quick meal. An apple. No, I'm not on a diet but it's the only thing that didn't need to be cook in my apartment.

"It's about time, Phi."

I reach out grabbed Phi's leg. We moved to the inner courts faster than a blink. Struggling I manage to maintain position, only to stumble a little when I landed. It went unnoticed by those that walk the hallway. They were too busy scattering off in all directions doing their jobs.

This really wasn't my day. Still, I had an appointment to make. It was hard moving through the small crowd inconspicuously. Doing everything I could to blend in even manipulate my aura.

"ID, please?" one of the large uniform guards came in and asked.

I hand it over. My card had my name on it printed with bold Sliver and embed with rubies. The families jewels. Let's just say that my outfit and name didn't impress.

That was until they turn it over and they saw the family name. I'm sure they had the shock of their life as most people only remember, one niece and it wasn't me. So they choose to question it and drew me into the interrogation room. I tried to hold back my emotions. A grimace would have made the situation worse than it should be making them detain you longer just because they can do it and then I'd be late. Being detained by the guards weren't a good excuse.

It was good that they didn't dare touch me but I could see that they wanted to. But the fancy clothes stopped them dead in their tracts if there was one thing I did right today was to dress up.

Taking the card and checking it to make sure it was the real thing. I'm not sure anyone would dare fake our family but other leaser lines were always at risk that is why there is a data base.
