124 I stand alone?

I look into my empty apartment and sign. There was nothing for me. I pull out the oldest book of shadows I own. Looking through it I saw something powerful. The main ingredient was the blood of a virgin witch. I had plenty of that so it was plausible.

"Hebe, make this for me," I ordered,

My familar eyes sparkled as she took the book. It wasn't until a few centuries into the future that I allowed her to experiment to her heart content so this was a treat for her.

This particular piece was useful for me. The gift as they called it could glamour people. It'd be handy to use it on humans and get around council law.

Then I pulled on a piece of paper and list things I like to change. My aunts death were top on the list, followed by my dad. His contractor blood ran in me and it was time to wheel and deal.

His death was one of those unexpected things that well could have been avoided. A deal had gone terribly wrong.

There was a dragon involved and a game of high stakes poker. It be great if I could help him. I just needed an invite. But before that I needed more power.

Carefully I went to my desk and pulled out stacks of contracts. After searching I finally found a free money loan. It was the best thing ever. Any one desperate enough to sign away their blood for money were easy pickings.

I had a list of 200 most profitable deals in the past thousand year on me. This was the deal of the century.

I slowly wrote each of their names on the contract and sent the mail out.

After that I pulled my phone out to make a call.

"Wie, W?" I asked crazy .

"That. No. Never. Maybe. There will be conditions. Fine it's going to cost you."

"Okay. And double the usual."I said before the line was cut. "No loose ends."

Rushing the order was nothing I needed to worry with all the power waiting for me to claim. Those people weren't going to turn my deals away because they were suffering.

I was sort of taking advantage of the situation but again they were victims too in their last life. At least this life they got a head start with a bit more luck on their side. Crazy was just the man to do it, he didn't mind loosing a bit of luck as long as he was paid.

And if things goes well, maybe just maybe I could score a slave or two.
