5 Into the Moonlight

Bella carried me in her basket as we walked to the rocky shore. The moment we arrived, she picked me out of the basket and placed me beside her. We sat on the edge of a cliff. She dangled her feet off the edge, looking beautiful and wonderous. I got up on her lap and laid down. She scratched my head in a soothing manner. Her hand calmly brushed down my back as I purred through the delightful feeling. I felt like I was finally home. No castle and no lies, just home.

Once the sun set closer to the edge of the water and sky, she gazed upon the upcoming stars. Then her gaze drifted to the crashing waters. It was something close to a painting. Beautiful and exciting. Once the stars finally reached the end of the sky, I started to change back. I didn't know what to do. She tried to grab me as I tumbled off her lap. She grasped my wrist at the last second, pulling her along with me as we fell into gravity's hold. She then whistled as if calling someone or something. Almost instantly, we stopped falling as Bella grabbed hold onto a broom defying gravity itself. She settled herself on the broom and helped me settle aswell. I held tight to her waist as we flew into the shining light of Luna.

Bella and I are dashing through the luke warm ocean breeze. The water crashing along, waving to us as we fly by. I held onto her waist, trying to keep my balance. There I was, struggling to hold on worrying I would flip us over. She looks back at me with the starlight gleaming in her eyes, looking gorgeous under the moonlit sky. Her hair shined. I felt a feeling I haven't felt for a long time. She looked forward again and reached down. We drew closer to the water as I stretched for the waves. I grazed the rippled waters with the tips of my fingers. She let out a sweet giggle. Her voice lifted my spirits higher than before. Then I heard a splash in the distance. A series of squeaks and clicks came from the area. I looked over too see what was there.

Dolphins. They were swimming in the distance, yet in another moment, flying fish leaped from the water. The ocean beamed with life. I had never even seen the ocean before; however, I studied it in the castle library. It was far more exotic than I ever imagined. The rough waters reflecting the moon and stars in the sky made it seem like they were swimming in the stars. A mermaid leaped in and out of the water beside us. Bella pointed to the water beneath us, and colorful light from comb jellies lit our path along with different creatures. Though the water itself didn't have life, it gave life. This was one of the best nights I had ever experienced so far. It was so perfect.
