"Dally"

Dahlia cried out in pain as she watched Tobias plunge the arrow he held on to earlier straight into Draco's chest. The pain intensified as he saw him fall to his knees, clenching his chest hard.

"I didn't want to have to kill my own son but you left me no choice," Tobias smirked. He didn't feel an ounce of regret as he watched the life get sucked out of Draco. He felt nothing as he fell over to the side, trying to regain his energy after the Xarbalte-infused shot Draco fired at him.

As if on cue, whatever mental limitations Dahlia was having vanished in that second. She managed to break the spell and run to Draco's side, but of what use was she now? He was dying because he tried to protect her while she couldn't protect herself even though she had the means to do so.

She placed his head on her lap and gently cradled him, trying to prevent him from closing his eyes. "It's okay, Draco, it's okay." She did her best to smile for him despite the pain she was in.
