3 Exploration

"Whew...that was quite the workout...now was it?" said Aaron, dusting himself down and wiping the sweat off of his forehead.

"Yeah...quite…" said Austin, audibly more exhausted than usual.

"But now, at least we got everything we need for now," said Andrew.

"...now what are we supposed to do?" said Newton, scratching his head.

"I was thinking we could go explore the terrain! Who knows, maybe we'll find something interesting!" said Aaron, immediately.

"Hmm...that-" Austin got cut off.

"-sounds like an awesome idea! Let's go uncover more land for destruction!" said Andrew, with a delightfully devilish grin.

Austin was about to say that was a good idea, but Andrew did it for him.

"Alright! Let's go, everyone!" Aaron would fling open the door with a happy expression on his face.

He was out the door, and everyone followed.

They went walking out into the forest, where there was a natural path leading out to some more ground.

The reason for this expedition was so that they could get a better understanding of their surroundings.

They saw many things, like mountain ranges, open fields of grass, forests, and a patch of flowers.

The patch of flowers is what Aaron seemed to like the most, but the mountain ranges are what they all seemed to like.

And for good reason. The mountains were tall and beautiful, with snow at the peak.

They continued exploring the terrain, until they came across something only achievable by the greatest luck of anyone in the world.

There were several materials; 3 sheets of metal, 4 wood planks, and even 10 bricks and 15 stones.

This was some great luck. Unachievable by any average person. And they weren't going to turn it down for anything. Not at all.

"Woah! Who left all this here?" said Newton.

"Hell if I know, but I do know damn well that we are taking it!" said Austin, hauling a metal sheet onto his back.

"Lifting heavy objects is my specialty! I am the strongest, after all." said Newton, lifting 2 metal sheets with ease.

Aaron grabbed a hold of the lighter materials; the wood planks.

Andrew grabbed hold of half of the bricks, and half of the stones. Same went for Newton.

They all traveled slowly back home, through the flower patch, and forest, where they set down the materials at their base.

"Wow...what are we going to forge this into?" said Aaron, wiping off sweat.

"I think we could maybe forge it into something useful, like a crafting station!" Newton said.

"That sounds like an excellent idea! But of course, we have to hear what the other people have to say. What do you think, Andrew?" said Aaron, turning his gaze to him.

"I think we could make...a riot shield using the metal sheets!" said Andrew, feeling the metal.

"Sounds good. That could be for you. But what about you, Austin?" Aaron turned his gaze to Austin.

"I personally think that we could use it to potentially upgrade the radar and turn it into a screen we all can see," said Austin.

"That's a pretty good idea, Austin. Using the bricks, stone and whatever is left over, I could potentially make a defensive wall around us, to protect us," said Aaron, grabbing hold of the materials.

"That walk gave me stamina, so I am ready to go again!" said Andrew.

"Same here," said Newton. "I'm sure the same goes for you too, Austin."

"Yeah," said Austin. "Let's all get to work on improving our base."

They all got to work. Newton worked on the crafting station, Austin worked on the radar screen, and Aaron worked on the defensive wall.

And after about 3 hours…

"All done!" said Aaron, placing the last brick where it goes.

Austin finished making the radar screen, and went to the crusaders.

"Done. That was easy as hell," said Austin. "And what about you guys?"

"Would've been easier for me, hah!" Aaron said, chuckling. He was refined in technology, after all.

"I'm done," said Newton. "Now we can make a bunch more things."

"That's grand!" said Aaron.

"Funny you mention that, I actually am having trouble constructing my riot shield. I think the crafting station would help," said Andrew.

"Huh. Do you want me to help with that?" said Newton.

"Yes. That would be most helpful if you would," said Andrew, with a small smile.

As soon as Andrew smiled, Aaron did too. He liked seeing others happy, it made him feel good inside. And for the leader of the Crusaders, that's a really good skill to have.

Andrew walked into the lab with Newton, and everyone else followed. Newton got a blueprint from one of the drawers, and spread it out on the crafting table. He then began explaining to Andrew how it was going to work. The dimensions, materials needed, and most importantly, the structure to make it the most durable. All of that.

Meanwhile, with Austin and Aaron…

"So, Austin, has anything picked up on the radar?" said Aaron, to Austin.

"Not that I know of. Does this thing even pick up?" Austin replied.

"Strange...surely it must've picked up something by n-" He got cut off by a notification from the radar. How ironic. It made a BEEP noise, to really alert the Crusaders.

Austin and Aaron both went to the radar to examine. They observed the notification that they had received. Turns out, it was a notification that notified them that some lifeform was in the galaxy.

Austin decided to go into more depth. He examined who it was, and as it turns out…

It was a familiar figure in purple...and it's not who you think it is. He was located at the center of the galaxy in a temple that had never been there before.

This is a new discovery for everyone. But, at the same time...it felt so familiar...

"Wait...what!? That's impossible! I thought I had gotten rid of him!" said Austin, in disbelief.

He couldn't believe it. What he saw...it couldn't have been real.
