8 Duel of Honor, Part 2

With bravery in his eyes, Aaron charged towards Charles, going up the stairway with his blade ready to swing.

But, as soon as he swung at Charles, his blade got deflected by Charles' bone blade.

Aaron would pull back his blade, and sidestep Charles, dodging a stab from him. Close call.

Aaron then tried to slash Charles from the side, but Charles spun his blade to his side, and deflected Aaron once again.

Aaron quickly thought to himself. "I have to take this with a different approach. If I keep this up, he may memorize what I'm doing and try to use that against me."

Aaron leaped behind Charles, just barely grazing his blade, and once again tried to stab him.

Charles then spun 180 degrees to face Aaron and attempted to slash him. Aaron ducked, and seeing an opportunity, he uppercutted Charles, slightly stunning him.

"Quite impressive, but you are ignorant of the true power I hold," said Charles, getting right back up and charging at Aaron, attempting to slash him when he gets close.

Aaron simply deflected, kicking Charles and causing him to fall. But he got right back up, and jumped towards Aaron, bone blade pointed at him.

Aaron did a roll to the side of Charles, dodging the strike. Yet again seeing an opportunity, he attempted to stab Charles at his side.

Charles, in a move of reflex, bended his waist forward so he could dodge the strike. He then slashed his blade at Aaron's head.

Aaron ducked, a little late. He just barely missed the slash. In a moment of desperation, he successfully stabbed Charles' stomach, causing him to hurl over in pain. The first hit from him had been dealt.

But, of course, that wasn't going to stop him. Charles wasn't going to give up so easily.

Clutching his chest, he got back up and leapt toward Aaron, his bone blade held above him like he was going to slam dunk.

In a moment of haste, Aaron quickly rolled to the right, just barely dodging the stab. That was very close.

Charles was about to stab Aaron again, and in that small window of time, Aaron deflected the sword, throwing Charles off.

With Charles slightly stunned, Aaron dashed to Charles, and stabbed him again. The second hit had been dealt.

Andrew and Newton had been silently cheering behind the glass in the observatory, although Aaron didn't notice.

Charles swung his sword at Aaron, aiming for the head, as that place was the most vulnerable of the lot.

Aaron's reaction time was a bit too slow, however, because Charles got his first successful stab on the right side of his face.

"Ngh...you…" said Aaron, rolling back.

"What about me?" Charles chuckled, readying his blade again.

Aaron sighed, readying his blade. It was 2:1. First to 5 would win.

Aaron figured that if he wanted to win, he had to have resilience. This wasn't just for the fate of him. It was the fate of the Crusaders also.

Aaron dashed to Charles, sword over shoulder, before their swords clashed.

Charles put more force, causing him to be on the winning side, but Aaron shortly followed, putting more force than even him, and once enough force was given, Aaron had successfully deflected Charles' sword and stabbed him in the chest yet again. 3 to 1.

Charles clutched his chest, and ran to Aaron. Aaron ran to the wall, for some particular reason. He had a plan to get the next hit in a strategic way.

Aaron then jumped off the wall, up over Charles, landing behind him, and he stabbed Charles in the back. Charles was not expecting this in the least bit. 4 to 1 now.

However, Charles took this opportunity and used his blade to stab Aaron while he was still behind him. 4 to 2.

Before Charles could potentially make another stab, however, Aaron backflipped, dodging yet another slash from Charles.

This was a tight battle, with Aaron on the winning side. However, Charles had one last trick up his sleeve that would either cost him loss or reward him with victory.

And he was going to do it, if it meant winning against Aaron and sealing his fate for good.

Charles leapt up into the air, so high in fact that it reached the top of the observatory, before quickly coming down on Aaron.

This singular move had the power to kill anyone instantaneously. With the amount of power it stores up, only to be released when the strike happens...It would just decimate anyone.

When Charles was just about to come down on Aaron, though, Aaron leapt out of the way, and charged up his plasma boosters. He had a plan, too.

He then rose up high into the air using his plasma boosters. This was it.

"PHIL MICKELSON!" Aaron then threw his sword at Charles, landing directly into his back. The final hit to Charles from Aaron had finally been dealt. One wrong move, and it was all over for Charles.

Aaron, 5. Charles, 2. Aaron had officially won.

Dropping to the ground and landing safely on his feet, Aaron pointed his sword to the injured, weary Charles and began speaking.

"Charles...I had to do this. I had to eliminate you. And this wasn't just for me, either. The Crusaders wanted you dead, too," said Aaron.

"...You...got me...again…" said Charles, coughing up blood.

"Yes. I did. Now, accept defeat," said Aaron.

"..." Silence for a moment.

"You forgot about something...haha…" Charles said.

"What are you on about?" Aaron questioned.

Charles then pulled out a bottle. It had a miniature portal in it.

"Wait...is that!?-" Aaron realized.

"LATER, FUCKER! HAHAHA!" Charles smashed the bottle on the ground, then out came an interdimensional portal.

A familiar hand grabbed Charles and dragged him into the portal. The portal then quickly closed up, leaving only The Crusaders in the temple.

"Well, crap...Now what?" said Aaron, holding the right-most section of his head, as it was injured unlike the other section.
