4 A New Discovery
"Huh? What's going on?" said Aaron as he approached the radar.
"No...it's not real...is it…? That has to be fake! This radar has to be dysfunctional!" said Austin. He slammed the control panel. "DAMN IT!"
"What do you-" Aaron looked at the radar, and saw it. He saw...him. The familiar figure, drenched in purple. "...' Silence then followed. Nobody dared say anything.
Until…
"I thought we had escaped him...I thought he was just going to live out his life in the void...but, why would he even be in the center of the galaxy?" Austin questioned.
"My guess? That was intentional. He sort of knew it all," said Newton. "But that's just an assumption."
"Maybe…but more important than not...we have to make a plan to take out…" Andrew paused for a moment, before revealing his name. "...Charles."
Everyone had a chill sent down their spine from Andrew even mentioning his name. Even Austin.
"Oh no...him...not him…" Aaron said, with a hint of fear.
"I'm afraid to say, but...yes, him," Andrew replied.
"That son of a- ...gun...he betrayed all of us. What hurts me the most is that he left me." Austin hesitated.
"Yeah...I feel really bad for you…" said Aaron, looking away.
"We must find a way to stop Charles at all costs," said Newton. "We must make a plan to get to the center of the galaxy and into the temple."
"Nobody really knows about the temple except for us, so we can't really research it all that much." said Andrew.
"True...but since we do know where it is, why don't we compose a plan to get to it and stop Charles, like Newton suggested?" said Aaron.
"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea.." said Austin.
Newton thought for a moment; about 20 minutes, actually, before...
"Okay, so...here's the plan." Newton said, before pulling out a whiteboard and dry erase marker.
"Before anything else, we have to get more powerful somehow. So, in order to do that, we need to choose someone to initiate the fight," Newton explained.
"Me! I can do it!" said Aaron, raising his hand.
"Okay. You'll be in charge of the fight. But who's going to destroy the temple once the deed is done?" Newton asked.
"Me, of course. I'm the guy with the explosives, that's my job!" said Andrew, pulling out a grenade disguised as a banana.
"Ooh, banana!" said Aaron, pointing to the banana.
"Don't be fooled, Aaron. This is an explosive in disguise!" said Andrew.
He then opened the window, pulled the invisible pin on the grenade-disguised banana, and threw it into a nearby lake. BOOOM! The banana exploded.
The look on Andrew's face. Pure joy and satisfaction.
"FINALLY! AN EXPLOSION FOR ONCE!" said Andrew, followed by some maniacal cackles. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! BIG BOOM BANANA! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
The others just simply clapped their hands, smiling. Even Aaron did it.
"Okay, back to the plan," said Newton. "Do any of you believe there would be traps in the temple?"
"I presume. Therefore, I will be in charge of protecting Aaron from the traps using my dark magic," said Austin, pulling out a ritualistic pocket knife. "I will keep you guys safe."
"Okay. So, Aaron is in charge of the fight against Charles, Andrew is in charge of causing a BANG to the temple in a very stylistic way after the deed is done, and Austin is in charge of guiding Aaron through the temple and keeping him safe. I guess I'll be there just in case something tragic happens to one of you," said Newton, pulling his staff out.
"Ooh, ooh! Can I bring my rocket launcher and load explosive banana rockets in it?" said Andrew.
"Yes, that is a BRILLIANT idea!" said Aaron.
Everyone then proceeded to clap.
"But how are we going to get to it?' Newton added.
The plan wasn't quite complete.
"By rocket jumping to it, duhhh!" said Andrew.
"That would be amazing, but think realistically. None of us could theoretically rocket jump all the way up to the center of the galaxy," said Aaron.
"Aww...I wish we could, though!" said Andrew, with a frown.
"Sometimes, we can't get everything we want. But, such is life. Maybe you can rocket jump when the time is right." Aaron said.
Newton then thought for a second.
"...Hmmm...oh! I've got it! Andrew can rocket jump up to the temple and plant explosives up there!" said Newton, snapping his fingers.
"Ah, yes! Perfect!" said Aaron.
"But there's more! If you can guide me to where Charles is in the temple, if something bad happens and Charles is a stronger monkey than you, even by a slight amount, I can bust in and use my rocket launcher to finish the job!" Andrew explained.
"Hell yeah, Andrew! That's a bloody great idea!" said Austin.
"So, now...Aaron is in charge of fighting, Austin is in charge of guiding, Andrew is a backup and is in charge of a BANG, and I am a support just in case something bad happens," said Newton. "Do we all agree on that?"
"Yes," they all said.
"Positions?" said Newton.
"Newton and I call dibs on the roof, as that's the only place," said Andrew.
"Okay, now we need to find out how to get to it…" said Newton. "Any ideas?"
"Maybe we could rocket up to it," said Aaron.
"That would be the most logical way to do things," said Austin.
"Yeah, but how would we even build a rocket?" said Newton.
"I have this crazy idea that might actually work," said Andrew.
"What crazy plan is it now?" said Aaron, looking towards Andrew with a small grin.
"Hear me out. Cannon. Plasma powered. BOOM! Up to the temple in less than 2 minutes," Andrew explained.
"...That's the greatest fucking idea I've heard in years," said Austin. "No, really."
"How do you come up with such great ideas? Firstly, you came up with exploding the temple so we never have to see it again, now you come up with sending us to the temple by cannon. You've got quite the explosive mindset, but I like it," said Aaron.
"Why do you think they call me the Destructive Banana back in my hometown?" said Andrew.
"Well, let's make a blueprint of this cannon first and foremost," said Newton. "Then, the action can begin."
"Hell yeah! That's what I like to hear!" said Andrew.
Newton got to work and began sketching out the blueprint for a contraption called "The Plasma Cannon.
