58 CHAPTER 58

"I don't think she would be helpful in this fight", Enzo said as he looks at the unconscious face of Kagura. Even if she wakes up, there was a chance that she would just attack Erza instead, so waking her up wasn't a good option.

"... I believe you have a point there...", Simon said as he glances at his sister. He then looks straight at Enzo and said, "But I would like you to stay. Someone who can fight toe to toe against Jose is someone I want to be in my team".

Enzo nodded and he then looks at Lucy and said, "Lucy do you mind returning to the boat and keeping Kagura safe there?".

Lucy who was having doubts if she could fight someone that could defeat Erza was extremely glad that there was a job for her that was far from the upcoming battle, "Of course I'll take her", Lucy said with a smile on her face. Enzo then made Lucy carry Kagura on her back and she proceeded to return to the docks with due haste. Since all the guards that were there previously were already taken out when they charge towards the tower a while ago, Lucy should be fine on her own.

Simon then placed two fingers in his forehead, and after a while of silence, he said with anger in his voice, "Damn!!! My contact with Wally and Milliana is being blocked! Now I have no idea where they are!".

"Thought-transmission magic", Juvia muttered to herself as she realized what spell Simon just used.

"Since you don't know where your other teammates are, let's just climb the tower. Maybe Natsu would already be there after he finds Happy...Let's just hope that he doesn't hurt your friends though", Enzo said to Simon.

Simon thought about it for a while but he eventually agreed. Since he can't contact his friends then Enzo's suggestion was a legit thing to do. Besides, Simon was confident that with Enzo and Erza with him, there was no way Jellal could defeat them.

Suddenly when they were about to go towards the stairs, multiple huge mouths appeared in the walls, all of them saying the exact same thing, "Welcome all of you".

"Jellal?", Simon muttered to himself.

"What are these stupid mouths?!", Gray said with shock in his voice.

"They seem to be conveying Jellal's words throughout the entire tower", Simon stated.

"I am Jellal, the ruler of this tower. The pieces of both sides are now in place. I think it's about time for us to begin. The paradise game! The rules are simple. My goal is to use Erza as a sacrifice to revive Zeref. In other words, If I can open the gateway to paradise, I win. And if you people can stop me from doing that, then you win. However that in and of itself wouldn't be too much fun. So, I've arranged for three warriors to fight on my behalf"

"Three warriors? Who are they?", Simon said. As far as he knew Jellal had no other people that he could rely on. Once he tells Wally and Milliana the entire truth, then he would have no more allies. So, he was quite confused about who were the 3 people that would fight for him.

"If you cannot first get past them, you will be unable to reach me. In other words, this is a battle royale, with only 3 members on my side...And before I forget, there is one last rule I should probably tell you about. There's a possibility that the council could launch an attack on this place using the satellite square. They possess the ultimate magic of destruction, Etherion. With Etherion they have enough power to reduce anything into dust"

Everyone in the group was shocked when they heard this. They know that a fight could be dangerous but to have a stake so high that would cause your own destruction was so unreal to them. Only Enzo mildly accepted the fact that he could die, but in his mind was the thought that perhaps if he died in this world maybe he would be teleported to another world. You can't blame him though, this is his third world after all. He never really knew why he kept teleporting worlds. At this point, it was just a thought that was always in the back of his head.

"The time limit is unknown. But the moment that Etherion strikes, everybody here will die. It will be game over and this game will end without a victor"

While the people were still shocked about the stakes, a trap door opened beneath Enzo's feet. This caused him to fall beneath the floor. He wanted to use 'moonwalk' so that he doesn't get separated from the group but before he could do it a powerful force of magic push him further down.

"ENZO!", Erza shouted as she looks at the trap door that was quickly closing in on itself. She immediately requips a sword and threw it at the trap door but she wasn't fast enough. The sword eventually just hit the now restored floor.

"Damn it!", Erza said with frustration in her voice.

With a clearly amused tone in his voice, Jellal said through all the mouths that were found in the tower, "Now, let's have a little fun".

"Jellal is trying to separate us. We need to---", Simon was unable to continue his sentence when Sho did something that was unbelievable to him.

With a puff of smoke, Sho used his card magic and place Erza inside of it. With a crazed look in his eyes, he said, "I'm not gonna let anybody lay a single finger on you Erza! I'll defeat that asshole Jellal, MYSELF!!". Sho then immediately run the opposite direction with a card Erza in his pocket.

"Stop!!! You can't do this alone!!", Simon said to the leaving figure of Sho, but the man did not care and continued running anyway.

"You guys have to search for Enzo, and also Natsu. Don't engage Jellal on your own. I'll go after Sho", Simon said as he runs towards the direction where Sho was running to.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME!", Gray said with anger in his voice. Right now it was only him and Juvia left and this greatly frustrated the ice mage. But Juvia was having a blush on her face. Being alone with Gray was something she greatly wanted.

"Gray-sammaaaa---NO!!!", Juvia was cut off from her happiness when another trap door opened beneath her feet. And just like Enzo, she fell straight down.

"...Are you serious?!!!", Gray said to himself with even greater frustration in his voice.
